Vendula have recently launched a new range & there were some errors with the item anyone that mentioned this on their forum or website have been banned and all their comments & questions have been deleted. I normally buy my wife these bags but after this type of behaviour, I will no longer use them!

Nice product. Terrible dispatch time!

Ok. The good & the bad.
Firstly I am very pleased with my bag. The attention to detail is exquisite & my bag appears to be well made, while being fun & eye catching. I am an animal lover & the fact that these products do not use animal byproducts (& I do not wear leather) was a big factor in my ordering from Vendula. However, calling your materials "Vegan Leather" is a misnomer as there is no such thing. It would be better to simply say that Vendula is kind to animals & their products are suitable for vegans. Anyway, back to the bag. I love it! I had doubts it would be big enough for my needs, but the bag is like a little Tardis (now there is an idea for a bag!! Tardis & Dalek!) & holds all my stuff excellently. Zips & stitching are very well done & I believe it was certainly worth the money I paid for it.
Now the bad, sorry.
Ordering. I ordered my bag midweek as it states on their website that if you order midweek your bag will be dispatched the same day (orders before 12 noon) It also states on their website that orders receive a dispatch email, so I waited for this...& waited, & waited. No dispatch email came. Finally after 8 days I emailed Vendula so see what was happening. The email I received back from them was curt to say the least, however it stated that the matter was being investigated & a little while later I had another rather abrupt email containing my tracking number. As I work in customer services myself (in travel) I was a little put off by these curt, abrupt emails as I know the importance of empathy & person to person contact in resolving disputes. I don't expect generic (automated looking) emails signed "the team" as it is cold, impersonal & does not give a good impression. Anyway I checked the tracking number & it turned out my parcel was at a sorting centre in North London! So why has it taken 8 days for my parcel to travel just a few miles? Well it turns out, my order was not processed until 5 days after I placed the order. I would not be complaining, if it was not for the claim on their website that says...QUOTE: " If you have ordered before 12 noon on Monday to Friday we aim to dispatch your order the same day. For orders placed after 12 noon and on the weekends, they will be dispatched the next working day (Monday-Friday)." As my order took 5 days to even leave the Vendula shop! It might have been quicker for me to have ordered from Vendula's factory in China!
So come on Vendula! You have a wonderful product, that is unique, beautifully designed & ethical, yet you let yourselves down with order dispatch time & a customer service that leaves a lot to be desired. I am sure you can do better that this, & indeed I hope you will, as I would like to order again & become a faithful customer. Please do not see this as a complaint, as I wrote my experiences here so that Vendula can improve their service to their customers, & I really hope they will. x

Vendula London has been overcharging US based customers

Vendula London has been overcharging it's US customer base for years under the pretense of currency conversion. A way around this has been for US customers to use the UK site and have their personal payment converted. This has stopped working as of this release. I reached out to customer service on this issue and was told to use the US site. The price difference between a true conversion and the US converted prices is a very large amount. If I used Paypal to convert my order of 1 bage and 1 purse with a 40$ discount the total is 199USD if I were to order the same items on their US site with their conversions the total is 303USD. That is a difference of 104USD. I sent back this response to their customer service team and have yet to hear back. I have been a loyal and active customer and collector of Vendula London since 2021. If this is not corrected I cannot in good conscience remain a customer of this company or recommend it to any US based customer. Vendula needs to go back to letting us convert our own prices or revamp their US pricing to reflect a correct amount.

Really unhelpful customer service

I've only ever bought Vendula bags in store and loved them so much I started a collection. The products aren't the problem. It's the online ordering that is so unnecessarily complicated and stressful. When I first placed the order, I got an email saying there would be severe delays with my order and to get in touch if I didn't get a dispatch email within six days. Where was this warning when I was deciding to buy? I never got the dispatch email, so after a week I contacted them. They told me the order had been delivered to my safe place (no it hadn't, instead I received a card saying the sender hadn't paid enough postage and I had to give Royal Mail £5 before I could receive the bag). Why didn't Vendula tell me it had been dispatched? And why didn't they pay enough for shipping? When I contacted customer service, they told me it probably wasn't a package from them and to "send me pictures of every side of the package for confirmation." First of all, I'm not expecting anything else in the mail. Second of all, I DON'T HAVE THE PACKAGE. That was the whole point of me emailing them. Their customer service is so unhelpful and they try to make the customer look like they're at fault no matter what. I've been put off buying Vendula bags forever. I won't even go near the store anymore. And I still haven't received the bag! Two stars because at least they answer my emails I guess, as infuriating as their responses are. Vendula, you're terrible. I hope you go out of business.

Edit: It WAS the package from Vendula that I had to pay £5 extra to have delivered. It finally arrived yesterday. Vendula was wrong, their information was wrong, and they tried to gaslight me. Stay far away from this company. Nothing is worth dealing with their awful customer service.

Great, unique, quirky bags etc x

I discovered Vendula London just over a year ago, and have been enjoying them ever since! My latest order arrived recently as is absolutely stunning. I’ve never had any problems with the company, and the bags & purses are stunning, I always get lots of compliments on them too. Great, unique, quirky bags xx

Nice Stuff but Fascist Customer Service

They have pretty things but the customer service is not good. I bought a bag. 4 days later it went on sale for 40 less. Here in the US you can let a company know and they will give you the difference or give you a store credit. They told me to mail back the purse at my own expense and buy another at the lesser price. So. They would lose 40. I would lose my postage. And if I had been given credit, I would have bought another bag. Worse yet, attached to the email conversation is a threat of action by authorities for acting abusive toward an employee. What??? I am all "please" and "thank-you!" It makes me want to misspeak and give them the number to my local police department so the cops can have a laugh. I should give them the FBI's number so they can report this negative review. It's just a weird company, not well run. Not rational. Try Loungefly - they have really cool stuff, less expensive, and they will treat you better.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Received a wonky sewn bag for over 100 Euro. They tell me it is perfectly fine although I provided photos where you could clearly see how faulty the quality is. Will not purchase from their brand again.

Do not ever buy these bags as a gift

Do not ever buy these bags as a gift! I love Vendula bags and have quite a few. My partner bought me one for a gift. I already had that design and because it was beyond 14 days of purchase I was unable to get a refund, exchange or a credit. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect to be able to get an exchange or a credit on a gift (I can understand not refunding). I am really upset as I’ve liked these bags for a long time and having no after sales care for customers is extremely off putting.

Fantastic products and customer service

I was a previous customer of vendula products with no issues. Great products. You get what you pay for. They are so detailed, well thought out, totally different from anything else and amazing quality. Re price I still find them more reasonable than other named brands with plain design which I buy for work. I have recommended them to friends. I live in Spain so could have their products delivered directly to me but I know I would have to pay import tax not from the company but from the country's law so I order to a UK address and collect them on my visits or a friend brings the goodies over. It's not vendulas fault the postage in other countries takes so long or the duty having to be paid. Recently I ordered two products, they were sent together 48 hour tracked in uk, vendula sends you the tracking number for you to see where it is, the package never arrived at my address. After much time with the absolutely useless royal mail - the package was stuck somewhere in no mans land and even they couldn't locate it. I contacted customer service for the first time using the company. They were swift with their replies and after some communication back and forth we arrived at a solution both parties were happy with. It wasn't ideal as this took longer for me to receive my goods but again not vendulas fault but royal mail who couldn't track their tracked parcel and lost it. I'm giving 5/5 for products past and present, value for money and customer service. I was quite shocked with the bad reviews after reading them and so felt compelled to give credit where credit is due. Thank you vendula.

They sended very low quatlity item. The customer service did not help et all. I can send it back on my cost… I agree with the review before that foreign customers get probably the low quality products and the customer service is really unfriendly and terrible.

Not sure why this company is getting so many bad reviews...

After reading through the reviews here I decided to chance it and order a bag. I'm glad to say I'm absolutely delighted with it! It's exactly as pictured and has a very high quality feel to it. I just received it so I can't speak for how long it lasts yet. Other people complained about the shipping times and the import duties. Yes the bag did take a while to arrive but that wasn't the company's fault as it was stuck in the destination country (Austria). They shipped out quickly. Yes I also had to pay import duties but again, that's local regulations and not something the seller can control. The actual product when it arrived is exactly what I wanted, so I'm delighted.

I don't understand why this company is…

I don't understand why this company is getting some bad reviews. I ordered a great large wallet and lima handbag and they are both well constructed, have lots of organisation pockets etc but not too many.
Ive had both for well over 1 year and have used them weekly and they still look as new.
I can only give my honest experience and often you're more focused on reviewing companies who wrong you, but some companies do so well and get lost. Its important to try to give balanced reviews.
I would buy again from this company :)

Nasty customer service

I bought a lovely bag and phone case, but l ended up sending them back the bag didn’t suit me, but after two weeks the phone case frayed and looked awful it’s like I have had it years.

The customer service from this company is awful it’s been a nightmare to send them back they never refunded me the postage when they said they would.

I would not recommend buying from this company

I ordered a lovely bag and the fake leather got damaged after 1 day. I contacted customer services, who told me it was "normal tear and wear". I was very disappointed when they told me they would do absolutely NOTHING, not even fix the bag. Never again!

Beware of 50%

Beware of 50% - 70% off sales from this company if you live overseas. I ordered 2 wallets and a 3 way belt purse, a cute little Paw Spa storefront mini purse for a Christmas gift for my mother. The purse came with black marks that ran vertical throughout the storefront scene on the front vinyl flap and a huge ink smear that ran along the entire bottom of the flap. We were in shock. The inside of the packaging was clean and the wallets were fine. The packaging slip was under the purse, so they knew they were sending out a defective purse. When I contacted customer service, I was pretty angry. Long story short, they told me I could send it back at my cost and that the defect marks were normal. We managed to get the long ink smear mark across the bottom off with non acetone remover but the marks on the vinyl art are permanent. Thankfully, I only buy sale items when considering a new online store because I've lost confidence over the past years with retail. At this point, it wouldn't make sense to lose more money to ship back a purse I bought at 70% off. I thought it was a clearance deal but the design is still available at normal prices, so I think this company was dumping defective product knowing the international customer would not return an item at their cost, especially one they got for such a large discount. Very dismissive. I would not recommend this company, their regular prices are too high for the lack of quality, zero accountability and their attitude is, "you get what you get."

Excellent Quality, Fast Shipping, No Problems!

Bought 2 bags and a keyring for my wife from their 50% off section as they were the bags I'd have bought anyway - buying a 3rd item (the keyring) gave another 10% off and qualified for free shipping. Everything arrived within 48 hours, all packaged well in nice protective covers for each bag. I've not had any 'in person' interaction with the company, nor a need to liaise with their customer services so can't speak to that, but the service I have received in relation to my online purchases have been faultless. A great discounted price, fast shipping, easy to use website and well packaged. Will happily buy from again.

I am over the moon with my lovely bag

I am over the moon with my lovely bag. The detail is brilliant. I want more!! I think they could do with a bit of bubble wrap before putting into the packaging though. The customer service is second to none. Response times to email are quick. I signed up to their newsletter to receive 20% off which I think is great and brings the cost of the bag down to a more realistic price. Overall a 5 star experience.

I received my bags and purses today and…

I received my bags and purses today and I'm so pleased with them. Such good quality. My only problem now is I want more lol. They are so beautiful, I almost don't want to use them. Ordered during the weekend and received by Wednesday, so fast delivery.
