Fantastic service !

I'm a returning customer to this particular dealership and the level of service we received recently was fantastic... Again . No pressure , no sales tactics , just friendly service , advice , and answers to our questions, Faye . G our sales associate went beyond regular levels of customer service by making phone calls to external companies etc on our behalf and we really felt looked after . The whole Team at Hyundai, Wessington Way Sunderland are very welcoming and also deserve a mention. Thank you for making the exchange of our vehicle to driving out with our new car easy and stress free. Highly recommend .

Above and beyond my expectations.

I recently had my Honda Civic in for what i hoped was a quick repair.
Unfortunately it turned out to be a major repair. Selina, the service manager informed me what was needed and she also told me it may be covered under warranty which I never knew, as I had the car from new and it is now 4 years old. I thought the warranty had expired.
Long story short Selina sorted everything with Honda, which took longer than expected but she did manage to get the work done through the warranty.
If it hadn't been for Selina this would have cost me a considerable amount.
In my opinion she went above and beyond to sort my problem. I cant thank her enough for the effort that she put in.

Amazing from start to finish

I popped in on bank holiday Monday, just having a browse. I ended up purchasing a new car, I am absolutely over the moon. Amazing service, friendly, professional, didn't feel pressured to buy either which is refreshing. Thank you Ash, you really did well in finding me something that quick! From purchasing the car on Monday, to receiving it on the Friday, I have been kept fully in the loop. Oh- Ash even dropped it off at my house for me because I had told him I was nervous to drive it back without being used to it! 👌🏾
I would recommend this garage to anyone. 🙌🏾

Poor Communication - Poor Timeframe Setting - Poor Customer Service

I booked my car into Honda Vertu Motors - Sunderland on January the 15th 2026 on their advice of 3 pieces of recall work (including wet belt) and a fuel pump job, writing this today, on the 9/03/2026 was the first time they contacted me, after weeks nearly months of no communication, for them to tell me they have done 6 hours of work on the car in total in these 2 months.

Their idea to get this completed faster was to send car Newcastle Vertu, but I would be responsible for the cost and the arrangement of the tow between the 2 garages, which i was reluctant to pay but have done, it cost me £100 due to their being no other option.

When they finally reached out to me on the 09/03/2026 after having the car in their possession for 2 months, their idea was to send the car to their Newcastle branch, in the aim of a faster repair (time stamped at an additional 2/3 weeks on top of now 2 months) as they didn't have the technician availability at Sunderland, Why could this information not have been brought to me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE when THEY realised THEY could not do the job within a reasonable timeframe, also why take the job on and leave me waiting without the car for 2 months.

I've spoke to John, who did nothing but fill my head with yes man words, give me inaccurate timeframes and ultimately was meant to call me once per week, totalling 8 times, he called me 0.

I also spoke with Selina the Service Manager of which she was no help either, just repeating the same sentences over and over again.

I have been told no to a courtesy car and for the tow cost being refunded back to me, they have literally done nothing to the car, and nothing to help resolve the situation. Shocking service.

Before I finally pulled the car off the dealership car park I checked under the hood just to see, and I found parts missing, if i did not do this I would have removed the car from sunderland, took it to newcastle and their would have been parts of the car still in sunderland garage. They forgot to put the under engine cover back on the car, really good mechanics....

Whilst trying to get it onto the tow truck I had to go back inside again to let them know that the car had lay there that long the battery had completely died, the car has an electric handbrake and would not move, so they had to come out again, this just shows the whole place is understaffed and or mis managed, why take jobs on that you cannot fulfill, and after 2 months of doing bot all to the car you could of at least had it tow ready, especially that I had to fork out for that.

Terrible dealership with terrible communication.

Luckily I had a spare car for the first 2 months, but the person I am lending off needs it back by the 12/03/2026, from this point, the family car that does 2 school drop offs, 2 work drop offs and food shops in-between will all have to be done at an additional cost to me for ubers / public transport, for atleast 2 more weeks.

THE CAR IS IN THE GARAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE TO DO A FAULTY RECALLED PART, HOW THIS IS EVEN MY STRESS IS BEYOND ME.

I told them this, and frankly they couldn't care.

EDIT***

Even though Honda Sunderland had the car for that long and only got as far as the diagnosis stage (the first stage) now it is at Honda Newcastle, for some reason the 2 garages can't communicate together thus having to start the whole process again from the start.

Got my new moka ,brilliant car and the service was great , I was treated like a person, down to earth conversation, went through everything on the car and the manager even came out and had a word , was made to feel very welcome.

A good experience all around

A good experience all around. Faye made us feel really welcome and looked after us well. She took all the stress away of buying a new car which made us feel at ease right the way thru the process. Very happy with the service and my new car.

Put you at ease

I was concerned that the car I wanted would fit on my drive with the gates shut and they were very helpful on my test drive to try the car on the drive and to my joy it fit so I went ahead and got a Hyundai Tucson I never felt any pressure at all into buying and answered all my questions put to them. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for their next car

Excellent team, relaxing visit

Fantastic customer service

We seen by a gentleman called John, absolutely fantastic customer service. We couldn’t ask for any more. Taking his time explaining all the technology on the car and showing us a few times until we understood it.

Nothing is a bother!

This is the 3rd car we've purchased from Vertu at Wessington way.
The service is always 10 out of 10 and they couldn't be more helpful. Picked up my car from a millions miles away down the Country Delivered it promptly, checked it thoroughly and removed a tiny stone chip that I wouldn't have noticed, however Jordan (who dealt with the whole process) wanted the car to be perfect for me, and it was/is. First class service, first class dealership. Couldn't recommend enough.

My experience outstanding

My experience was none other than amazing.From the warm welcome soon as you walk through the door to the none pushy attitude that you usually get from car sales. Person we delt with was Jordan Mcgill his approach and caring attitude to helping us find a car that we truly want was a pleasure to deal with him throughout. we came in with a small idea of what we wanted and he went out of his was to make sure we were happy and explored all possibilities with us, truly amazing experience, he explained the finance side of it perfectly clear gave us all the figures and explained how each of the options would help and benefit our needs, hand over of the car was next level it was absolute show room spec gleaming inside and out. was a absolute pleasure. will definitely be back in the future for other cars.

Straight Forward & Easy Purchase

Was a straight forward & easy process. From a website query on the Sunday, to visiting Sunderland Honda on Monday through to completing the transaction on the Friday everything was without hassle.

I knew what i wanted, Faye had the car waiting to visit & expertly guided me through the new Honda Civic including test drive. Everyone at site was a pleasure to deal with & doing a deal was not an issue. Everyone is easy going, friendly & knowledgeable giving me confident that this is the right car for me.

You couldn't ask for more, it will be a pleasure to continue to do business with Sunderland Honda.
