I was concerned that the car I wanted would fit on my drive with the gates shut and they were very helpful on my test drive to try the car on the drive and to my joy it fit so I went ahead and got a Hyundai Tucson I never felt any pressure at all into buying and answered all my questions put to them. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for their next car

We went to update our car for a newer vehicle, thinking of a demonstrator. From the start the team were friendly, attentive, and each demonstrated their expertise. John was our initial contact, showing us through the availability. Phil and Craig each got involved and helped guide us towards a brand new car.
We were very happy with the deal, Craig, Phil and John worked well together, we were relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed every visit. Professional team, enjoyable sale.

We seen by a gentleman called John, absolutely fantastic customer service. We couldn’t ask for any more. Taking his time explaining all the technology on the car and showing us a few times until we understood it.

The service is always 10 out of 10 and they couldn't be more helpful. Picked up my car from a millions miles away down the Country Delivered it promptly, checked it thoroughly and removed a tiny stone chip that I wouldn't have noticed, however Jordan (who dealt with the whole process) wanted the car to be perfect for me, and it was/is. First class service, first class dealership. Couldn't recommend enough.

My experience was none other than amazing.From the warm welcome soon as you walk through the door to the none pushy attitude that you usually get from car sales. Person we delt with was Jordan Mcgill his approach and caring attitude to helping us find a car that we truly want was a pleasure to deal with him throughout. we came in with a small idea of what we wanted and he went out of his was to make sure we were happy and explored all possibilities with us, truly amazing experience, he explained the finance side of it perfectly clear gave us all the figures and explained how each of the options would help and benefit our needs, hand over of the car was next level it was absolute show room spec gleaming inside and out. was a absolute pleasure. will definitely be back in the future for other cars.

Was a straight forward & easy process. From a website query on the Sunday, to visiting Sunderland Honda on Monday through to completing the transaction on the Friday everything was without hassle.

I knew what i wanted, Faye had the car waiting to visit & expertly guided me through the new Honda Civic including test drive. I bought my lovely new Hyundai i20 from vertu and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!
John Goldsmith who showed me the car and supported the sale was excellent throughout the whole process. He discussed different finance options with me as well as ensuring I was offered all of the available services to go with the purchase of the vehicle. John was very friendly, made the process very easy and ensured I was happy before finalising anything. On arrival to collect the car, it was a prompt and efficient process, John also offered to show me the different features of the car to make sure I was comfortable before driving me away.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my immaculately clean and well kept new car. I could not fault the service and will look to return in the future when I wish to change. Thanks again.

Great service honest conversations and no hard sell

So pleased I chose to visit Vertu Motors last week, never thinking that 5 days later I would be driving a new car. I had been thinking about changing my car for a long time and just decided on a whim to visit the dealership to try and get answers to my numerous questions. The salesman we dealt - Vinu Vincent - was very professional, polite, helpful and not pushy at all - he gave great advice about the vehicle we were purchasing and if we asked a question and he wasn't 100%sure, he would go and find the correct answer - instead of guessing - he is an absolute credit to the team.

Excellent service from start to finish. Sales rep Jordan could not have been more friendly, professional and knowledgeable. A pleasure to do business with and would definitely recommend giving him a call if you’re thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Vertu Honda/Hyundai at Sunderland. The car was immaculately presented and I was given a great demonstration before I drove away. A couple of the managers came and saw that everything was running smoothly, and verified that all documentation was in order. Highly recommended.

Today I picked up my New Honda Jazz on Motability , I would like to say the service I received from Faye Gillespie who took me through the hand over with extreme professionalism this is my 5th car and find the staff very helpful and friendly, this is why I always come back to renew my car

Bought a car in Jan 2024 and it had broken down within 6 months. I called out a mechanic (who diagnosed the symptom not the actual issue). The mechanic did complain that the garage "could not have possibly" serviced the vehicle when they sold it due to the state of the oil and one of the air filters. Less than 6 months after that the car broke down again with exactly the same problem. At this point it was clear the car was faulty and so I began looking at my rights and to try and get the vehicle diagnosed and fixed. This second breakdown happened just before Christmas, ruining my xmas plans and leaving me to spend xmas and NYE alone.

As the car was not under warranty, Vertu refused to diagnose the issue and fix the car - in breach of my rights under the Consumer Rights Act. They refused as this would cost them to do so - but are more than happy to continue taking payments from me for a car that is now no longer roadworthy less than a year after purchase.

I am now left with expensive diagnosis and repairs for a car they sold that was faulty & a ruined Christmas & NYE.

I would urge anyone thinking of buying from here to go elsewhere as once they sell the car they are more than happy to break the law and shaft the consumer. I will be reporting them to the relevant ombudsman & taking necessary action to enforce my consumer rights, none of which should be necessary.
