Darren Beattie was excellent. He really took the time to find the right range rover for us. Even to the exact specification and colour that suited me and my husband. All within the monthly budget we had.
He made everything really easy and easy to understand. We had outstanding service. Thankyou very much. We love our car. And will highly recommend you all to all our friends and family.

Had a very good experience with vertu motors in Truro there was a cancellation on our recall as the parts were delayed.
Toby Yates the service manager got it sorted and managed to get the parts for us which we were grateful to him as I had the day booked off when I got there made me very welcome the staff there were friendly and polite and they managed to sort the car out in a day rather the two days as expected Tony went over and beyond to make sure I was looked after very happy with the great service

I took my car to Vertu Truro for an MOT, and it failed due to a supposed transmission pinion seal leak on the transfer gearbox. According to the MOT inspection manual (8.4.1 (a) (ii)), a failure requires a leak forming a 75mm puddle within five minutes. My car? A mere two drips per hour. The very next day, it passed an MOT elsewhere with only an advisory: “Oil leak, not excessive – monitor and repair if necessary.”
There wasn’t a single drop of oil on my driveway, and when I asked, the MOT station confirmed the transfer box was full. Yet, Vertu Truro not only failed the car but also labeled it unsafe to drive—a move that conveniently discourages you from seeking a second opinion. Their solution? A £1,720 bill for a new seal.
This is not just poor service; it’s outright misleading. They bank on customers not questioning their verdict. I have requested a refund of the MOT fee (£54.85), but the bigger issue is trust.
If a dealership can't even conduct an MOT fairly—a process with clear guidelines—how can you trust them with servicing or repairs? And if you wouldn’t trust them with your car, would you really buy one from them?
Avoid this dealer. Integrity matters.

I recently had a power steering fault on my Jaguar F pace, I had it recovered and taken to Vertu JLR Truro.
was contacted to say it was in for assessment once and never got no feedback the cars now been there for a week. I've contacted them and all you get is the person I dealt with is sick, so we will look into it and contact you with an update they never return the call. Customer service was exemplary when i bought the vehicle the after sales service is far from that, poor is beyond belief I think the staff are briefed to say the same excuse scenarios, All I can say is Vertu JLR Truro get a grip people pay good money for your cars and you work on commission sales I get it, but honesty is the best Policy

The worst customer service I have ever received. I have used Vertu JLR Scorrier twice in the last year and have been treated the same both times. Zero communication, you phone and phone and get no where. You email and email and get no where. Simple jobs seem to take weeks because nobody tells you what is happening. It is the basics of customer service completely lacking and you are made to feel like you are bothering and hassling them by trying to find out about your very expensive vehicle and what's happening with it. Reading all of the other reviews I am not alone in feeling like this. Who can I email an official complaint through to who will actually listen and acknowledge me? It's a shame because I love my car but it has put me off Land Rovers for life. Absolute shambles.

Purchased a 2019 BMW X3 from them for £30,000 and engine failed due to an inherent problem with the vehicle that would have been present on purchase, they haven't offered to help in any way, basically saying it's BMWs problem and not theirs. I'm now having to take legal action. I have never dealt with such an unhelpful dealership and couldn't recommend them less

We visited Truro for our regular service, this being the third vehicle we have purchased from Landrover Truro and as always we received great service from all the staff, everyone was polite and nothing was too much trouble, really great experience

Great service from everyone involved. Our car needed some work doing prior to our holiday, Vertu pulled out the stops and got the car ready, they even cleaned it for us! Everyone we came across in the retailer were friendly and polite, we even spoke to the technician who worked on the car which was a nice touch. Thank you.

Purchased car from Truro Land Rover, collected it from Exeter Land Rover (am based in Bournemouth), with an MOT having carried out the week of collection by Truro Land Rover. On the drive back with in 10 minutes I noticed loud knocking sound, reported to garage and a Land Rover assist technician came to my house next day. He said the front bushes were faulty, and that it should have failed its MOT. He then explained the Land Rover sales frequently deliver faulty vehicles as once delivered they become a warranty issue rather than a sales issue. I have also had a park brake issue in the mean time, and then been told I was not covered by the warranty.
I have been in contact for last 2 months trying to arrange a collection of the vehicle to be repaired with no suitable solution offered by garage. I also paid £500 for pointless extended warranty. The garage have strung me along for 2 months with no fix yet. They have knowingly sold me a faulty vehicle, and fraudulently MOT’d the vehicle with a fault.
Update - thanks for responding Wayne. I waited in all day yesterday only be told at 3pm they aren’t coming till this morning at 10:30. It is 11:10 now and I have again taken a day off work to stay in and they have not arrived. This is beyond a joke. No one from Vertu has any positive sense of customer service to be proactive and keep me informed as to what’s going on ! Taking the mick ! Shame it takes a negative review to spur any kind of reaction.
Update 17/09 - Vertu finally now have my car. Tried to speak to Wayne McNally at Vertu LR Truro spoke to a member of the service team who said he could see that they were waiting for some parts and could not tell me when it would be ready at 12:40 and then asked to speak to him again - they went and asked and apparently he was too busy to take my call - asked for him to call me back - no call back !!! This is the worst buying experience of my life. Please help me out Wayne, my wife is fuming, this was a present for her and it has been nothing but pain. Motor Ombudsman has now been informed.

We have received absolutely appalling service, if service is what you can call it. Booked our 4 week old RR in for 2 days of work to have the roof blind replaced. We were told the parts had been ordered. When we call (you never receive any communication from them, at all) the next day to check all is ok, we are told “all good, we shall get the parts on order”!?!?!? We say that we shall come and collect the car and wait for the parts to come and then bring it back to them. We drive up from St Ives to Scorrier in the summer traffic, wait over 20 mins just to be seen, only to be told that the cars roof lining is still down and can not be driven!!!!!!! We call time and time again, the phones are never answered. The main switchboard says they will put a call back in for us – we waited a week - no call back. The lack of communication, miscommunication and lies that we have been told is quite simply shocking. We are now in to the fourth week of them having our vehicle, ridiculous! It has got to be the worst dealership ever, its an embarrassment to Land Rover.

As stated in many many reviews below. This company is terrible. Managers should be sacked. Absolutely despicable customer service and company as a whole in Scorrier Cornwall. Been lied to time and time again. Waited well over 6 months for a new gearbox to be fitted. Only the gearbox ECU had been fitted. Over 6 months and countless lies by Wayne. Toby. And now Sam who still has not honoured his next day promise of invoices carried out to be sent to us. PLEASE DO NOT use this garage unless you buy brand new. Even then you.ll feel the heat if warranty work is needed.

Customer service well and truly non-existent not just at this dealership but with everyone at Land Rover it seems.
5 times i have called in to find out what’s going on with my vehicle - each time ‘i don’t know, i’ll find out and call you back’ but this never happens.
I want to know because its the 2nd time the car has broken down in less than a month. Today received a call its ready but no-one can tell me what’s been fixed!!! Was promised a call back, can you guess what happened?! That’s right no call back.
Add this to the fact the courtesy vehicle had a huge crack in the windscreen when collected i reported it straight away as it wasn’t on the handover - was told they are aware and its safe to drive. Fast forward a few weeks a technician comes out to do an update and tells me i shouldn’t really be driving it. So Land Rover assist get me into a local dealership to swap the car when i get there im told i’ve damaged the car and have to pay the excess. 5 hours of me phoning around with the evidence i have of the damage they eventually own up they missed it on their inspection photos. I was treated like a liar. Overall, the treatment of loyal customers is nothing short of disgusting. I am in the process of trying to make a complaint but guess what have not had a call back!!!!!
Update: Have had a call from Wayne and appreciate the honesty and apology which was all was ever required. Thank you.

Forget being able to buy a premium car and trust your main dealership. In addition to the shoddy workmanship we received in exchange for our hefty £4,000, Vertu Jaguar Landrover at Truro gave us a ‘Vehicle health check’. Except it was bogus. Despite ticking the box to say they had visually checked our battery, they somehow overlooked the 2 inches on water the battery was sitting in. Clearly their ‘health check’ is a pack of lies and should come with a health warning. DO NOT trust them with your car. Video available

Don’t use JLR Redruth Cornwall .. A number of things went wrong with my velar , engine blew up & 4 months on all the turbos went. I found the people fixing the car hopeless with their communication, especially the service manager . I overpaid by £500 that was 5 weeks ago 24 emails later , 2 complaints to their head office & still no contact . 14 days ago I was advised it was processed!! The customer service skills of this branch is something I wouldn’t wish anyone . Massive training needed, communication is the worst I’ve experienced and the service manager is appalling & rude

Great experience with LandRover Truro, George handed over my new car and went through all the paperwork and the car handover very exciting .. also a big shout out to Dominic who looked after us from our first initial enquiry and making our order requirements very simple…

I purchased a brand new Land Rover autobiography from this branch in Truro for £115,000. I was promised top service, that they would collect my vehicle for servicing and repairs, leave a similar vehicle as a courtesy car. This happened for the first service only.
Thereafter, I was loaned a manual skoda, the size of a fiesta.
My vehicle was booked in to have the diesel exhaust fluid sensor looked at as it kept reading low despite being full. The engine light came on and I booked the car in for repair but the earliest date was two weeks away. I therefore took it to a local garage who said it was just the sensor and they would need to replace the tank but it would be ok to drive.
I was promised a courtesy car but two weeks later my car was collected for repair but no courtesy car provided. We were going away soon and I needed my car repaired to ensure we made it safely to the airport so I had to go without a vehicle. We live 5 miles out of town in a rural anrea and so this caused considerable inconvenience.
The car was returned and I paid the £1250 bill. Apparently some injector cap was loose. The next time I drove the car, the engine light came on and the same warning about the diesel exhaust fluid came on. This time stating I had only 500 miles before the engine would not be able to restart.
I rang Vertu and questioned what exactly they had repaired because it wasn’t the fault that it went in for. Richard booked it in for another repair on 25/10 and assured me there would be a courtesy car. I waited in all morning but by 1pm no one has arrived and collection was scheduled for between 9-11am. I rang Vertu several times but the Vertu switchboard could not get through. Each time the switchboard said they had sent them a message.
Two days later still nothing. It was my husbands birthday 27/10 so I remember it well. I called again and just as we arrived in the hotel car park, Tasha answered. The explanation was that they were waiting for me to drop my car off. I had always used the home collect service so find this very difficult to believe. Secondly, surely they would have called when I had not turned up. Thirdly, why had no one returned any of my calls.
Tasha said she would book me back in but we had just arrived at a hotel and I did not have my Filofax so I requested a call back Monday.
Never received a call from them since. I called and again the switchboard sent them a message. Still nothing. I filed a formal complaint a week or so later. Automatic email said I would receive a response within 48 hours. Still nothing a month later!!
We had to book the vehicle in with a local garage but the car could not be repaired in time to get us to the airport so we had to pay for parking again as we were not able to amend or cancel the booking.
I am beyond shocked at the service. I wanted to upgrade to a new long wheel base defender but have gone to Roger Young on Saltash.
What has happened to customer care and loyalty these days!
