Loving my new Škoda Kamiq
Loving my new Škoda Kamiq. The moment I walked into the showroom at Vertu Leicester, all the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. There was no pressure at all by the sales team which really put me at ease. I was given two test drives to help me make the decision on which car to purchase. Michael and Matt from the sales team really looked after me and the finance managers Matt and Dave ensured that I drove away with the car I wanted at the best price. Thank you!

Sales team and sales managers could not…
Sales team and sales managers could not have been more helpful. Mike and Matt(salesmen) have been very helpful, the rest of the staff so polite in the garage, Matt and Dave the sales managers were really helpful, the call takers in the central hub always polite and obliging. My only comment would be that they could do with a central receptionist for taking and passing on the messages as the sales staff were always so busy! (This is not a complaint, just an observation) We are very happy with our two new Skodas, and would /will be singing these praises to others. Dave and Rosie.

I had a great experience buying my car from Matthew today. The entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free from start to finish. The vehicle was in excellent condition, fairly priced, and exactly as described. I really appreciated the honesty and transparency throughout the process. Financing was also explained clearly, and everything moved along much faster than I expected.

100% positive experience
Staff were friendly, professional and patient in response to all my questions. I never felt pressured in anyway. Linda was superb on handover day and took me through all the details of setting the car up before driving away.

A tale of two halves.
This is a difficult review to write. We travelled 40 miles to view the car we were interested in. Our first salesman was good at the beginning but things quickly went downhill. We weren't able to get hold of him and promised callbacks never happened. It took making a nuisance of ourselves to get anywhere. As we live 40 miles away, the vast majority was due to be completed online and over the phone. We couldn't simply pop in. We did test drive the car and put a £500 deposit down to secure. We were eventually told that said salesman was off sick and then on a training course. None of this was communicated to us until after the fact and after becoming irritated that we weren't progressing with the purchase of the car. Even when he returned to work, we just couldn't get through to him to progress the sale. On the odd occasion we were successful with emails but not often.
We were part exchanging our old car and was offered a reasonable price for it. It had less than 2 weeks left on the MOT. This was communicated openly and truthfully from the very beginning. A few days before the mot expired, we received an email from the original salesman to ask us to mot the car and used the excuse of safety reasons. We were having the car delivered and the px picked up. As we'd been upfront from the beginning, we refused. This seemed to fall on deaf ears and it took me getting mad for him to listen and accept that we weren't going to be penalised for his shortcomings.
The original salesman told us that only one of us had to be here to accept delivery of the car. My fiancé was the registered owner of both vehicles and he had signed the purchase forms so was the customer, not me. I had a niggle that I'm glad i listened to as it turned out to be incorrect. My fiancé did need to be here for the handover.
In the end, we kicked up a fuss and was put with another salesman. Dave Ilett has completely done a 180 on our experience. The 3 stars are for him.
David Clarke, the manager, has also been fantastic with our irritations and did his best to put everything right. We are grateful for that.
John, they gentleman who delivered the car was lovely. The new car arrived on a trailer and the part exchange car was taken back to the showroom on the same trailer. No mot required.

David Ilett as always looked after me and found me my perfect car. Always helpful and takes the time to find exactly what you need. Also the manager David Clarke was very helpful too.
I would like to mention though that since Vertu has taken over Skoda Leicester and removed the receptionist, Sharon, the place is not the same no one to meet and greet and make you feel relaxed until someone is available to help. Miss that aspect. The call centre seems to just send everyone in without checking with the dealership.

Very positive experience
Your whole team that we dealt with were fantastic. David Ilett is the main reason we returned after how well he dealt with us 3 years ago. He is still as helpful as ever. David the account manager and Charlie were equally great. They couldn't have been any better. I missed having the receptionist there. It used to be more efficient when trying to get through via a phone call. That's the slight down side but overall very happy with your team.
