3 stars ⭐⭐⭐for a hopeful solution today, but 1 star ⭐for the following poor service... I bought a 2nd hand Golf in January. From the start there were several intermittent glitches with the infotainment-dashboard system. The car was was booked in March to sort this, but problems still persisted ⭐. Booked in again June same issues,⭐ told they did fault finding and did a "software update"⭐ problems persisted.
In September the car was in for a warranty check and I raised again the various intermittent infotainment system errors, but they said I needed to book it in again for a full day check. So today the car was booked in and collected at 5 pm. The service desk staff said ... we found that the car needed software updates that they 'managed' to get it covered under warranty. That is what they should have done when I brought it in 1 month after I bought it. The service desk staff member said "any more problems, please let us know".... Hopefully sorted, but it doesn't inspire confidence

Absolutely appalling service EVERY TIME. Staff on phones in plain site and not working. The mechanics damaged my vehicle, and didn't even let me know. They also can not find faults (its their job)- I have to show them for them to go - oh that the problem. I am not a mechanic. Whenever I go in with a problem - they cause me another one.
They also refused to contact me, after I called several times and when promising to call me. The service manager is appalling. Even the general manager of the branch refuses to respond to my email - with evidence of issues. Having to escalate to head office to be taken seriously. Whilst I have done this, the dealership is still ignoring me.
I have had dealings with Ferrari, Mercedes, Toyota and others and have never had such appalling service. I seriously advise to have no dealings with the dealership. I would give this 0 stars if i could.

Whilst trying to sell my son's car, a potential buyer pointed out an issue with a previous repair on the bodywork. I took the car back to Vertu where the work had originally been carried out and, without hesitation, Adam and the team immediately agreed to re-do the work free of of charge even though it was just out of the warranty period.
Although frustrating that the original work hadn't been completed to required standard, I was very impressed with the way that they took responsibility for the issue and resolved the problem without any debate. A big thank-you to Adam and the team.

I had a non-fault claim over 2 months ago in June whilst I was learning to drive and took my new car to Volkswagen for an estimation for the repairs to aid with the insurance. I was then told Volkswagen would deal with the repairs and insurance directly. Since then all I have received is a complete lack of communication. I am having to actively reach out for updates on my own car, however have been shut down during these phone calls with no updates or progress. I have not been kept in the loop with anything regarding my car and every time I call I am told a different story. For example I was told my car was approved for repair and that the final part was ordered on Wednesday when I called, however when I called on Thursday I was told the other driver’s insurance was sending an engineer out to decide whether it’s repairable or a write off. As annoyed as I was that I was told different things, this was the most progress made over the past 2 months my car had been sat there. However in my 1st daily attempt to call Volkswagen for updates today, I was told the engineer was not yet there but would be there later on in the day. I then called again at 5 to check what the engineer decided, however was told that the engineer called half an hour ago to cancel, however was never informed leading to another dead end.
Prior to my test I went to collect my L plates off my car to find it parked at the back of a car park, untouched. After passing my test I decided to purchase another car as I had no faith in Volkswagen that the car would ever get repaired, leaving me at 17 having to run 2 cars.
Whilst researching for insurance, I found out that if a claim was still on going it was immediately marked as my fault, adding even more costs to my insurance. I am currently having to pay to tax and insure 2 cars at 17 with insurance being £500 per month due to Volkswagen taking so long.
I genuinely cannot see my car being repaired any time in the near future as Volkswagen have shown how unreliable, inefficient and how bad their customer service is.
To anyone considering to repair their car through West Bridgford Vertu Volkswagen, I strongly urge you not to if you want your car repaired any time soon.

We have had excellent service from Adam at Vertu Nottm bodyshop. He went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with the work we needed to our Tiguan and it was evident they know how to look after a customer. Thoroughly recommended

Update: 27/6/23 Upon reading my review, within 24hrs I have now received the gift due to the incredibly helpful new car sales manager who got this sorted immediately - absolute 5 star service from him.
This may seem trivial but on picking my new VW up in Jan 23 I was told by a manager that for being such a "good customer" I could buy an electrical item to the value of £200 that VW would pay for. It wasn't clearly explained what to do so in March I emailed the sales rep. No response. Emailed again. No response. Phoned. Not there. Left a message to phone me. Never did. Phoned again. Not there but spoke to someone else who told me what to do - email his colleague with details of the purchase so I did. No response. Phoned again and actually spoke to him - said he had put the order through. 2 months later - nothing. Phoned again - spoke to another colleague who said he would put it through so to email him the details which I did. No response. 1 month later I emailed again. No response. I assume this is all just a load of baloney from 2 sales reps who couldn't care less about customer service and it's now end of June so 6 months and I don't have the "gift" for being such a "good customer". They definintely won't be getting any further custom from me - Derby from now on.

Purchased a blue 69 reg Golf R from Vertu Nottingham as a at distance sale with 33000 miles from Laurence.I was sent a video and told the paint defects would be corrected. The car was delivered and was in shocking condition, the repainted bonnet was full of blemishes, apparently the work was carried out by the VW approved bodyshop on site and some of the defects had not even been highlighted as the video was taken at a very clever angle. Estimate to put the car right was £1400 - I asked Laurence to take the car back and sort out the issues and was told they couldn’t do that and offered me £300 !! I had to drive the car back to Nottingham to return it and they deducted the road tax and have kept money back until I receive the V5 - DVLA refusing to issue a V5 as Laurence had put an incomplete address on the V5 and I pointed this out to him and he assured me it had been amended before sending it off. Little or no assistance in getting this issue resolved from the dealer. I very rarely leave bad reviews therefore please draw your own conclusions about this outfit.

Purchased a VW Golf GTD Reg PJ21 xxx and i was given paperwork showing the car had been through the Approved Used multipoint checks. I had issues with the car within minutes so i took it to my local VW dealer for them to resolve only to be sent a health check video showing the car had faults. I contacted Vertu VW and the response was shocking. The sales manager Alex had zero compassion and zero interest in resolving the issues. Alex is only interested in sales not problems. I returned the vehicle and i am still waiting for some monies to be returned.
The car was back on sale at £1750 more than i purchased it for so i assume the faults have been corrected.
I have recently purchased a BMW after years of VW and couldn't be happier

Bought a car with Vertu Nottingham. Charged 30£ for fuel which 20% are tax.
Charged for Road Tax more (in my case 30£ instead of 20£). On the day of collection told them that rear break pads are worn and asked to be chanced, didn’t want to listen, trying to convince that they are more than 50% and don’t change, even didn’t want to move from office to have a look. Straight away on these day asked for money back, said take the car and will sort it later. Next day contacted and said that will give money for pads and over charged for Road Tax. Now disappeared, call them, always everyone busy, don’t give a call back. Email them don’t answer.
Horrible service, keep away from Vertu Nottingham.
