Read the T's and C's first
Booking ref BGY 7186. Car booked through third party broker (Autoeurope) so you don't get to see the full terms and conditions of the rental company. So I advise you check the car rental website and read the terms and conditions before you book. If you are prepared to accept the risk of falling prey to the rather unfair clauses which are mentioned in these reviews then you only have yourself to blame. There are plenty of alternative rental companies out there. They tried the 'pick up more than 1 hour late so your contract is cancelled' trick but when I pointed out that I had been waiting for 45 mins for them to deal with just one person in front of me, and no way was I going to pay them a penny, and was prepared to call airport security, they realised I wasn't going to roll over.

Cars not in the terminal, but the rest was ok.
All correct except that they say they are at the terminal and it is not true. The office, like all the others, is in the terminal but the cars are in a parking some minutes away and you have to take a bus, like all the rest of the companies.

Fairly good service
Fairly good service. The car was excellent. The only negative was that I was contacted by phone and told to return the car immediately as I was past my booked dates. The tone of the phone call was quite unpleasant. This was however incorrect as I still had 2 days left. It seems a simple clerical error which was cleared up with an email with my booking voucher.

Would be happy to use them again. Hassle free and straight forward car hire
Collection was easy and quick. Communication with staff was friendly and clear. Vehicle was great and new (less than 10k miles) and was assured at drop off where we checked the vehicle over together and documents signed off for peace of mind. Friendly staff and would definitely use again.

I would totally rent from you again!
We would like to thank everyone involved. You made it so easy to rent the car, even though we left it to the very last minute and didn’t have a credit card. The car was brand new, there was very little bureaucracy, and it made our trip so much more comfortable. I would totally rent from you again!

Do not arrive 10 minutes late, you have no car.
Last Thursday we arrived at Bergamo airport at 1050 PM due to a slighly delayed Ryanair flight. We contacted Viaggiare the car rental from the plane to remain open after 1100 PM.
The phone was answered but the person told us that he would close exactly at 1100 PM and not wait, we should ask for a refund.
We had no car.
Sunday on our way back, we passed by the offices of Viaggiara and we requested a refund.
They refused to refund.
Based on the reaction of Viaggiare customer services on this mail, I contacted them on the indicated mail address but without response.

Great car hire company
Very helpful young lady at car check in, great that she didn’t force us to take out additional car insurance as we had already paid for the top one through booking agent. Car was virtually brand new, clean and great drive. Would use these guys again!

Computer says No !
Probably a waste of time writing this ,
Car was booked for 11.30am , we were delayed & Probably got to desk at 12.40pm ( 10mins after the hour given , belive flight number was on my booking ) finally got to front of queue at 1pm , having waited 20mins to be served & told our booking had been cancelled & nothing whatsoever could be done for us ( what makes it even more infuriating is that a lady served before us clearly hadn't booked & was obviously given our car , lucky HER , We had a very stressful journey home & finally got home at 7.30pm !!!!!!!

Serious and professional car rental :-)
Viaggiare seems to be both serious and professional car rental (unfornately, not many of those...) We rented via AutoEurope from Bergamo and had insurance there. As expected, Viaggiare wanted to sell me more insurance which I declined. We had an upgrade, nice brand new Skoda Enyaq. Upon return of the car, quick inspection; and I had a printed confirmation that all was ok. Will definitely use Viaggiare again when I go to Bergamo next :-)

On August 23
On August 23, 2024, my family and I were left without a car at BGY airport. We booked a pick-up time for 11:00 PM. The plane arrived on time and we were on time. "VIAGGIARE RENT A CAR" received the money for the reservation in advance, and when we arrived, the company "VIAGGIARE RENT A CAR" was completely closed (while all the other companies were working). We had to run around all the other companies on the spot looking for a car. In the end, we paid for the rental again, only four times more - in total, the rental cost us as much as renting five cars.
On the way back, I managed to talk to the employees of the company "VIAGGIARE RENT A CAR". Their answer was simply shocking - you did not pay us anything, you did not take the car from us, contact the place where you booked the car, we do not return the money - go to court!
I strongly advise against dealing with "VIAGGIARE RENT A CAR" - they simply rudely kicked us out of their office without even trying to explain the reasons for this situation...
