We had no damage on the car when we left the car behind at the rental. 2 hours later they send us a email we had to pay 250 euros. We text back that we want prove because we could prove we had no damage. We never get a mail back but they took 250 euros of our bankaccount without promission.

Excellent experience renting a car from Viaggiare, Bergamo
Excellent experience renting a car from this company, Viaggiare, from Bergamo Airport terminal in early August 2024. I booked it via Discovercars.com. This was the best and most economical offer I could find, filtering by 'in terminal' and '5 seats' for a family of 4. I chose a Fiat Panda or similar, manual. I received by pure luck a brand new Skoda Kamiq. You have to take a brief shuttle bus for ALL car rentals...even if their office is in the terminal. Don't let this put you off, it's zero hassle, and only adds about 15 minutes in total. I collected the car smoothly, in a timely manner (about 30 minutes for entire process). As advised by others, I used another company (AIG) for a sperate car-hire excess policy (about €50 for an annual policy) so didn't take out any extra insurance with Viaggiare, nor was I expected to or asked to :). Finally I took a video and photos of the car before driving off, and returned it on time to their small office at the car rental zone/ car parking area (P3 in Bergamo airport). I was relieved that it was scratch free (a new car without previous scratches). The staff were lovely. I would use this company FIRST the next time, if the price was right!! D.McGoldrick

A good, trustworthy company within a market of scammers
In a sea of scammers, rip-off merchants and con artists, Viaggiare seems to be a decent car rental company based on my experience. Getting the car was straightforward and it was in good condition. I did not do an inspection of the vehicle in advance as I was in a rush and was not charged for scratches and imperfections on the car at the end. After dropping off the car, I was promptly returned a check in document which had no additional charges. The deposit was released back to my account within 24 hours. Would definitely use again in Italy as I believe the positive reviews on here reflect one of the few decent car hire companies available who aren’t seeking to exploit customers.

Reliable rental company
Good price, friendly staff, easy collection process, check in without forcing you to buy additional insurance. Everything was as it should. The only complaint was lack of windshield washing fluid in the tank.

Suite à un acte de vandalisme sur le véhicule de location, j'ai eu besoin d'un véhicule de remplacement.
L'assurance m'a dit que j'avais besoin de la facture globale de l'agence de location pour être remboursé des frais avancés.
Cela fait maintenant 2 semaines que j'attends cette facture (promise dans les 48heures lors de la restitution du deuxième véhicule) et pire depuis l'agence ne répond à aucun mail et ignore totalement mes messages alors qu'elle a été payée.
J'ai une perte de 2000 euros tant que cette agence (dont certains agents sont d'une grande malpolitesse) ne fera pas son travail et m'enverra la facture dûe.
A fuir comme la peste!
A seguito di un atto vandalico sul veicolo noleggiato avevo bisogno di un veicolo sostitutivo.
L'assicurazione mi ha detto che avevo bisogno della fattura completa dell'agenzia di noleggio per essere rimborsata delle spese anticipate.
Aspetto questa fattura ormai da 2 settimane (promessa entro 48 ore dalla restituzione del secondo veicolo) e peggio ancora perché l'agenzia non risponde a nessuna e-mail e ignora completamente i miei messaggi anche se è stata pagata.
Ho una perdita di 2000 euro finché questa agenzia (di cui alcuni agenti sono molto scortesi) non fa il suo lavoro e non mi invia la fattura dovuta.
Da evitare come la peste!

Deposit charge 900€ is way too much
Deposit charge 900€ is way too much. And I have been told by staff that they will refund deposit the same day of the return of the car, which was a lie as now they say 20/30 days. This is really not satisfactory and not good practice. Not happy at all.
The car was good though.

Booked a Fiat 500 Hybrid online from…
Booked a Fiat 500 Hybrid online from Milan Bergamo Airport. Queued 30mins to be processed as only one agent on the desk. Was given a Citroen C1 standard internal combustion engine. I understand the term “or similar” on the website but a petrol engine is not similar to a hybrid engine which I chose specifically for the type of driving I would be doing. Nonetheless picked the car up and everything was fine regardless. Handed the car back with no issues and was told my deposit would take up to 3 weeks to refund. Midway through the fourth week and not having received the refund I contacted the merchant via it’s website messaging service. I was told the delay was down to my bank. Contacted my bank who obviously told me this is nonsense and advised me to request information from the merchant regarding the transaction so they could investigate. Contacted Viaggiare again with this request and from there on was ignored. The money was finally refunded over 4 weeks later. I have hired many cars before and often have the deposit refunded before I’ve even left the car compound. 1 star is generous given the duration of wait and correspondence with their customer “care” team. Won’t be using again I’d rather get the bus
