Good experience

Rental given to someone else because 15 minutes late. No refund

We had a booking at 1pm in Rome airport and we were late arriving at 2:15pm. Because we were more then 1 hour late they told us our car had been given to someone else and it wasn’t refundable, they cited policy that you have to arrive within 1 hour of booking time. I seriously doubt they sold the rental to someone else in that 15 minutes I think it’s more likely a ploy to extract cash from people who don’t understand the t&cs fine print. Awful experience and customer service didn’t care at all.

Scam!!!!! We had a reservation, our flight got delayed by one hour and when we came to take the car they said they have no car. We got no previous notice, and we were on a flight so we had no opportunity to even know or notify about the delay. We got stuck in Rome with no other alternative! The man at the reception was so rude, we have never had such an unpleasant experience in Europe ever before.

Terrible company!!!!! We ordered a car and the flight was an hour late and they told us they had given the car to someone else, we tried to explain the situation to them and there was no response, they just said there was nothing they could do. So DONT trust them!!!

Rented a car for 5 lugages and the car only fit 4!!!!!!

Dishonest rental agency. A malfunction was detected on a vehicle I had rented from them during the summer, and when I contacted roadside assistance, it was clearly stated that I had nothing to pay. I even insisted on this point, and it was well confirmed. One month later, I received the tow truck’s invoice. Despite my attempts to explain the situation to the agency, they had the audacity to claim that none of their colleagues had told me I wouldn’t have to pay. I was glad to have gotten an attractive rate, but in the end I ended up paying the price of a luxury SUV without ever benefiting from a luxury car. Shameful!

Horrible experience. We came one hour too late and they told us our car was gone.. the only other option was 270€ extra that we had to pay. Read the small print! And avoid if possible.

VEHICLE RETURNED WITH NO ADDITIONAL DAMAGE AND THE SAME LEVEL OF PETROL BUT I WAS CHARGED FOR PETROL AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO VEHICLE WHEN I ADVISED THAT THEY HAD MADE A MISTAKE THEY BASICALLY DID NOTHING AND STILL CHARGED. I HAVE FOUND THEIR LEVEL OF SERVICE EXTREMELY POOR DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

They were very friendly. No wait. Helped me out so much when Europavar didn’t honor my reservation since I didn’t have my international license. Great price too!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Worst car hire experience of my life. Upon arrival at the check in desk we were informed that both of our bookings (we had booked two cars through Stressfreecarrental.com) had been cancelled.

When we questioned why this was we were told that this was because we were over 1 hour late to the desk. We explained that our flight had been delayed and that we had been held up by an excessively large queue at passport control, but this was dismissed by the Viaggiare staff. They mentioned that they would not have cancelled our booking had we provided the flight number on our booking, but as this is not a mandatory field when completing the booking this was not something that we were aware had to be provided. As we were only 1.5 hours late I requested that the vehicles that would have been reserved for us would still be made available but I was told that there were no vehicles available, which is ludicrous as there is no way they could / would have re-sold those vehicles in the 30 minutes between their scandalous deadline and our arrival. It feels like a blatant and unnecessary lie. This left my family (2 adults and 4 children) in a stressful rush to secure another car from another provider. Absolutely terrible experience. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY...

We booked two cars for our family holiday with Viaggiare through VIP cars. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours. Despite providing our flight details via VIP cars when we arrived at the Rome desk, despite being the only customer we were ignored for 10 minutes whilst the desk attendant conducted a leisurely phone conversation all the time avoiding eye contact. He then insisted our booking was automatically cancelled after 1 hour and refused to provide us with our hire cars despite being unable to show where in the contract this one hour rule was shown. He was curt and belligerent and eventually just walked away from the desk leaving it unattended. We eventually had to book with another desk via VIP.com who were also unable to persuade Viaggiare to honour the contract also pointing out it had no contractual basis. Unbelievably poor customer service, avoid them like the plague. It was pretty clear they were motivated by leasing out our cars at higher rates than contracted using the flight delay as an excuse.
