ViCoverage Does Not Reimburse Total Cost

I had a policy for the shipping on an auction win. I had eight items and one was completely destroyed and removed from the package during shipping. I filed a claim and VICoverage was nothing short of painful. They wanted pictures of the damage which were not available because UPS removed the damaged item and did not provide anything to show that. VICoverage eventually reimbursed for the item but only the hammer price, not the buyer's premium and taxes which were 30%+ of the total cost. The auction house itself used to reimburse the total cost for damage and loss. VICoverage asked me to prove the auction house had not already reimbursed me directly. They actually wanted me to a prove a negative. Why would the auction house reimburse me for anything when the whole point of the insurance is to shield themselves from that part? VICoverage was very polite but that doesn't make up for the painful experience and lack of full payout. I suspect the auction house will lose my business since I don't really want to repeat this and, unfortunately, UPS and Fedex have gotten very sloppy on damaging packages...I've had at least half a dozen breaks this year alone.
