I cannot get any audio after ripping dvd. I can’t seem to get hold of customer service and not having much luck with several extensions I have tried. I have a Mac computer if this makes any difference.

Great service

Having only recently bought their products, my desktop crashed and I had to replace it. I lost my software. I wrote and explained my situation and had a swift positive response that means within a day or so I was able to use the software again.

Great software

Product not working on MacBook

Product not working on MacBook. After three months of trying being helped by customer service I give up. A solution does not come, their only solution consists of the tip to download the program again. A really crappy experience.

April 2024: Of course I also contacted customer service in response to the response to my review. My last attempt is now a week ago. No reaction at all. Really outrageous when you look at what you pay for the product. Don't buy! I repeat: don't buy!

This seems like a scam

The product is good. However, my activation code has stopped working. I have sent them two inquiries without response and without receiving an email confirmation that they have received my inquiry. This seems like a scam. It's a sad because the product is good when it works.

Video Byte has mitigated my License issue.

UPDATE Feb 23, 2024

Video Byte reset my password and I am now using Video Byte again on my new Win 11 PC.

It would be remiss of me if I did not Say Thank you to Video Byte.

During the period when I could not use Video Byte, I was forced to find an alternate Blue Ray Ripper.

I purchased ACROK Video Converter.

This is not a recommended package. I tried to cancel a week later and PayPal declined.

Very slow and unstable. It rejected several of the Blu_ray disks that I had created myself. These disk were fine when I used another Ripper.
I had to uninstall this even though I purchased the license.

I also tried Leawo Prof Media for which I also purchased a full license. I would say this is second to Videobyte.

The BIG negative is that LeawoPro is VERY SLOW. Often it would run overnight to rip one BD disk.

A great little packge was MakeMKV. This is superfast and comes with a 30 day free use license. BUT the it can only rip to MKV format. This a serious Limitation. This is a Beta version.

It will be interesting to keep tabs on their final release.

I had to use Prism Video Converter to convert the MKV videos to MP4. PrismVC is a free package for personal use.

When I added up the time I spent it was not really worth the trouble to do the two step conversion.

Hands down, VideoByte beats them all. Video Byte does the Ripping perfectly, very fast and allows you to select the output file type that you need.

I do hope they will up the ante with their Customer service for the great product they provide. Perhaps they should hire more staff.

This is a scam

This is a scam - I never got the registration code for almost one week and that did not work. Sent the details to customer service for a refund. They have a 30-day refund policy but they do not honor it 10 emails requesting a refund and they came back thanking me for my order - I cannot get a refund so applied to my C/C company for a chargeback - DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO lose YOUR MONEY - Bad customer support I agree on all the other negative comments for this company all true reviews- Again they just replied with the wrong information and still no refund- I only got the code 1 week after i complained as the original code would not work I still want a refund on their 30 day guarantee they do not offer - If you have any issues with this company you will loose your money do not buy this software you will get burned

This is a scam it seems. Just stealing peoples money!

I purchased a tier level for $130 plus tax which clearly stated as one of the benefits would be full technical support for the products I purchased. I have been trying relentlessly to get in touch with their so called technical support team and no one has responded whatsoever! I honestly feel this is not legitimate and is a scam. The software I purchased would not even download. I will also be writing to the better business bureau to share my experience. Completely bogus! I’m demanding an immediate refund!

I want nothing to do with a company that behaves in such a deceptive manner! Offering customers things that actually don’t even exist as it turns out! Ironically several other reviews on trust pilot have reported the same thing so don’t pretend you are all interested and noble now! Far too late for that!

Great service

Great service: Bought the software at the beginning of December, but only tried to install it yesterday. I noticed that I had lost the email with the download link or registration code.
At first I was skeptical because the payment went to “digitalriver”. I wrote an informal email and received release data at short notice. Thank you very much.

Software has only been tested briefly so far. Easy to use and even in German. The first attempts worked straight away. I am very happy with the purchase.

They do not honor their guarantee

Asked for refund within hours of buying after comparing to another Blu-ray ripping software. States on their site that they offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Beware. They do not honor it. You have to go to their page on the “guarantee” to read the fine print about what they consider acceptable circumstances for a refund.

Great easy to use interface and can rip videos very quickly. I'm currently using MakeMKV and Handbrake but will be looking to purchase a licenses for Videobyte to unlock all it's features.
