I packaged everything in bubble wrap…
I packaged everything in bubble wrap and each item in a plastic bag. In the box I placed old cameras, antique cutlery, antique theatre binoculars, ivory brush and ivory gloves expander and an old notebook covered in thin pieces of mother of pearl. They contacted me that it was worth a total of 23 euros. I declined the offer and several weeks later I received my belongings back in the box with no packaging at all , no bags and the mother of pearl pieces in a separate envelope! I am astounded by this disregard of someone else’s property and would never dream of recommending this company to anyone ever.

Allereerst bieden wij onze excuses aan dat u niet tevreden was met de taxatie. Alle items in de dozen die wij ontvangen, worden beoordeeld op basis van diverse factoren, zoals de staat, actuele vraag, zeldzaamheid, wederverkooppotentieel en meer. Onze service is er uiteindelijk op gericht om een snelle en gemakkelijke manier te bieden om ongewenste spullen op te ruimen en een nieuwe bestemming te geven, zonder dat u voor elk item zelf een koper hoeft te zoeken, en toch iets terug te krijgen. Wij maken er geen geheim van dat de prijzen die wij bieden niet altijd gelijk zullen zijn aan wat u soms zou kunnen krijgen wanneer u elk item afzonderlijk verkoopt. Dit is een van de redenen waarom wij gratis, vrijblijvende offertes aanbieden, samen met gratis verzending en retournering, zodat klanten onze service kosteloos kunnen uitproberen en de vrijheid hebben om hun items elders te verkopen indien het aanbod niet passend is. Daarom doen wij altijd ons uiterste best om ervoor te zorgen dat klanten tevreden zijn met de voorstellen die wij doen.
Helaas lijkt het erop dat u in uw geval sommige van uw items niet in dezelfde staat of verpakking heeft teruggekregen als waarin zij zijn verstuurd, en daarvoor bieden wij onze oprechte excuses aan. Wij begrijpen volledig hoe frustrerend het moet zijn geweest om uw spullen te ontvangen zonder de beschermende verpakking die u aanvankelijk had bijgevoegd, zeker gezien de aard en kwetsbaarheid van de items. Dit is volstrekt onacceptabel en niet hoe het hoort te gaan of gewoonlijk verloopt.
Wij hebben uw dossier bekeken en kunnen zien dat wij op 17 juli per e-mail hebben gereageerd nadat u ons op 15 juli had benaderd, omdat wij wilden onderzoeken wat er was gebeurd en het probleem namens u wilden escaleren. Zoals wij in die e-mail hebben aangegeven, doen wij dit nog steeds graag, omdat de door u beschreven situatie niet de zorg weerspiegelt die wij normaal gesproken hanteren bij het omgaan met de eigendommen van onze klanten. Wij willen er echt voor zorgen dat dit naar behoren wordt opgelost.
Mocht u van gedachten veranderen en wenst u dat wij dit intern verder escaleren, laat het ons dan gerust weten. Wij zullen er alles aan doen om het nader te onderzoeken en dit recht te zetten.
Nogmaals dank dat u de tijd heeft genomen om ons hiervan op de hoogte te stellen. Wij bieden onze oprechte excuses aan dat u niet de positieve ervaring heeft gehad die het merendeel van onze klanten wel ervaart. Wij begrijpen uw frustratie en waarderen uw geduld tot nu toe.

Disappointing
Unfortunately my second experience with this company was very disappointing. I was offered 35 Euros for a box with a heavy silver plated Victorian coffee pot bought at the London silver vaults for 3 times their estimation of the whole box, which also included a choker is 3 strings of seed pearls with an enamel clasp from the New York museum of Art, a replica Mayan necklace in gold, lapis and black onyx. The rest of the box had 2 Steiff rabbits , various bits of costume jewellery worth about 35 Euros. No itemisation just an agreement to send back the box free of charge. They added that they had a lot of boxes with valuable items at present . I am asking myself if they lured me with the value of my first into trusting them?
