Really loving using Vinted

Really loving using Vinted, the system is generally smooth and easy. However the shipping options are annoying. It says things like ‘Large - the Size of a moving box’ and then someone buys postage that the box is only 16cm deep. I got negative feedback for having to cancel the order and ask the buyer to reorder using a different shipper that had the right size. I wish they would let you select the options that are the right weight/size rather than having to upsize the entire shipping option in case the buyer picks the one option that’s too small.

Account 'BANNED' with no explanation or good reason

I opened a new account and listed 2 items.
After a short period I was 'banned' for possible fraudulent activity. Simply not the case. I listed the 2 items nothing else. After 2 weeks Vinted still hasn't explained their claim, which as far as I know was a random bot decision. If this is their customer service, I'll go elsewhere. I want my data deleted, but as yet I keep getting 'we're still working on it' messages. Shameful. Avoid.

Dreadful customer service every time !

Totally fed up Evri break parcels all sent very well packed to avpid damage . Vinted dont help at all and been waiting for an answer . Customer service is extremley poor on all levels . Buyers protection is just a way for them.to make money and is useless . You were a great company at first but got to popular to quickly and this will be your future down fall . Good customer service and satisfaction is key to any long standing buisness and at this rate you wont survive . Its not just me , most ive spoken to dont rate you anymore for after service .

Shocking customer experience

Shocking customer experience. Still waiting on a refund for some trainers that never arrived after being banned for no reason after failing to see messages I had received.

No response and a shocking overall experience. Out of pocket for no reason what so ever with no person you can talk to besides a bot.

Vinted is absolutely full of…

Vinted is absolutely full of counterfeit items. I’m usually very careful. Today I purchased 2 angels kiss bags. Only to realise it was the same seller with 2 different profiles and the bags had no logos and were fakes. Cancelled immediately and reported only to be told not enough evidence and block this seller lol. No investigation nothing. Plus I got negative feedback from vinted for having to cancel lol. States clearly on vinted counterfeit items are STRICTLY PROHIBITED and to REPORT yet they allow it? The laugh of it is sellers are selling the fakes for same prices as the genuine ones. Vinted is a scammers paradise and total shambles. That’s me done with that corrupt site. Beware mariak 7640 whose answer to me was (oh bb) knowingly selling fakes.

The Sustainable Way Forward!

Vinted has been a great experience for me. I've been able to sell clothes which are in good condition for a fair price, and also buy others when required. This is often so much better than buying fast fashion, and offers so much more scope for convenience, affordability and variety. I'd definitely recommend Vinted to anyone looking to make a more sustainable change. Also, it's is a user-friendly app and very easy to navigate!

Account blocked for no reason—they are holding my data hostage

I have completely lost interest in this platform. My account was blocked without any real reason or explanation. While they have allowed me to access my remaining balance, they have effectively locked me out of my own profile, meaning I cannot delete my personal information or data from their system.

It is unacceptable for a company to block a user and then refuse to allow them to wipe their data. This is a clear violation of privacy. To make matters worse, the platform is now full of suspicious and prohibited content, yet they target genuine users instead of cleaning up the site. I no longer feel safe using this service and I want my data removed immediately. I would warn anyone thinking of joining: once they block you, you lose control over your personal information.

Vinted will cancel your sale, give your item to the buyer, and leave you with nothing - without a proper investigation

I want to share this so other sellers know what can happen on this platform.

I sold a brand new £193 dress - original tag still attached, never worn, no faults. I packed it in a padded bubble wrap envelope inside an outer bag and included a handwritten birthday note, because the buyer wanted it for her birthday.

The package was tampered with in transit. Not torn open - the label and tape were deliberately removed, the contents handled, and the package resealed so poorly that the buyer received it half-open. When she opened it, the bubble wrap envelope was gone. My handwritten note was gone. The dress had a hole in it. The original tag (completely flat when I sent it) was crumpled as though someone had scrunched it up and placed it back.

The buyer confirmed every single one of these details in writing herself.

Within two hours of receiving the package - before I had been contacted, before any investigation had begun, and before any agreement had been reached - the buyer repaired the dress herself. I was never given the opportunity to have it returned to me.

Vinted’s conclusion: insufficient packaging on my part. Case closed.

I have only five-star reviews on Vinted. Yesterday (the same day this case was being decided) another buyer received a package I had packed and shipped in the same way, using the same materials. They left me a five-star review immediately. Vinted’s own platform confirms my packaging is reliable. This was never considered.
I was never asked whether I wanted my item back. I was never given a fair hearing. Vinted made a final decision, refunded the buyer in full, and left me with nothing - no dress, no payment, no explanation.

I have since discovered that this is far from an isolated incident - Vinted’s Trustpilot page shows hundreds of sellers experiencing the exact same pattern: transit damage, no proper investigation, final decision in the buyer’s favour, seller left with nothing.

Throughout this process, responses felt automated and generic - as though no real person ever actually reviewed the evidence I provided. What is described as “customer service” appears to be a system designed to close cases quickly, not to investigate them fairly. I no longer feel safe selling my belongings on this platform.

If you are a seller on Vinted, know this: if something goes wrong in transit, Vinted may side with the buyer, close the case, and leave you with no recourse. Your item could end up with someone else, and you will not see it or your money again.

No dress. No payment. No explanation.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Uploaded a clear photo of an item, vinted has hidden it due to it not being adequate. I can't possibly make the picture clearer, every time I raise this issue with vinted i get a generic response from a bot, what does it take for an actual person to look at the listing and see that there are no issues?

I sent a pair of trainers to batchy he said he never received them just a pair of trousers, I disputed this and said he was lying, I had a picture of his parcel it was grey wrapping mine was black, it had a printed label mine was a digital one for inpost, it had the address where he picked it up from in Cornwall, I live in Essex I rang the shop after getting the number he remembered him collecting a black box, I also checked the postcode on the package which the trousers was in, I found out it was a shop that sold work clothes they confirmed they had sold them to him, yet with all this evidence vinted still gave him the money back, it’s absolutely disgusting, the bloke was rude to me calling me old I’m 68 with heart failure this really stressed me out, I’d never sell anything with vinted again, oh I can’t they blocked me, it’s so wrong this site
