I’ve just had an item delivered that sadly got broken in delivery and they have refused to cover it. Even though the buyer pays the premium coverage. Absolutely disgusting!!! Go back to EBay!!! You are more likely to have far better customer service

Posting here to get a response, I have been logged out of my Vinted account. I have access to the email on my account but not the mobile number. Everything I try to do to gain access reverts back to the 2 factor authentication. I cannot complete this.
Was sold Counterfeit Goods / Fraud, awful customer service, can't get hold of legal
Bought Nike Air Max 95s from seller milad_khanali_66. Shoes fell apart after a few wears. Professional cobbler and CheckCheck authentication service (certificate C515XC) both confirmed they are counterfeit. Vinted refused to help citing their 48-hour policy. Sent formal legal correspondence to their Legal department with the email address provided on their website — it was routed to customer support and met with copy-paste template replies. Reported to Trading Standards and Action Fraud.
Poor service
Something of a scam about this, I ordered a dress which, arrived in good time but unfortunately did not fit. If I had been told refunds would not be given in this instance I would have sold the item on myself. However, I was asked to return the item, which I did using the same packaging that it arrived in. I have since been told no refund due to damage caused by the poor packaging. I now have no funds and no dress. I will therefore never use this site again.

I reported a seller for advertising fake counterfeit money, they sent me a reply saying they’re not violating community rules…

Very inflexible when there are issues
Very inflexible when there are issues. Dont read correspondence and just send unrelated automatic responses when you try and speak to customer service. Very frustrating.

I love it. such good bargs to be had, and love selling stuff for £1 rather than giving everything to the charity shop for free... it all adds up then you buy stuff with the balance and everything is free!

Vinted works OK (when the app is down) until you need customer service. It’s now run by bots. A refund has not been released to be even though they state it should have been. Buyer protection is nothing more than a commission. The app seems to have collapsed since they got rid of mango pay.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. I recently sold a dress for £20 to a buyer through this platform. When she recieved it the postman/ courier had ripped the packaging and drawn on the dress in red pen whilst trying to write on the parcel. The buyer reported this to me and to vinted immediately. Over the next 2 weeks I was asked over 3 times to provide many details of the parcel, the packaging etc etc which I did over and over again. I was consistently ignored despite multiple messages to the support team which wasted much of my time. Then eventually, after sending the pictures for a final time, I was informed that the buyer would receive a refund and I would loose the money and the item (buyer still had it). I was informed that this decision was final and once I clicked ‘continue conversation’ and replied I was once again ignored. What happened to the parcel was quite clearly not my fault (or the buyers) proof was provided and the customer service was shocking throughout. Safe to say I will never be using this site again and I would recommend others don’t either.

Awful platform , Vinted are scammers , lean heavily with the buyer , sold my sons rokit5 speakers for £170 on Vinted , made sure I double boxed , bubble wrapped , foam inserts , really well tightly packed and shipped by dpd. One speaker arrived damaged the box was stoves in on the side , been dropped or something heavy dropped on it , seller raised a dispute . Vinted have takes there side no money for my son and Vinted have refunded the buyer , truly awful experience with these scammers , hate Vinted will never use again for anything!

AI customer service
AI customer service, my buyer damaged the item ( I have chat confirmation of this ) but the customer service protocol deemed that I pay for return to me and they received a full refund. I’m left with a damaged and unusable item. Photographic evidence is ignored, it’s a clever scam and Vinted are in on it.
Extremely poor experience, “Buyer Protection” is misleading.
I received an item that was clearly not as described (a jacket missing its inner layer and a women’s jacket, not men’s), yet I was still forced to pay return postage out of my own pocket.
I reported the issue within 1 day of delivery and responded quickly throughout, but Vinted’s handling was incredibly slow and frustrating. Most replies were automated, and when I finally got through to support, responses took 1–3 days each with no real progress.
The situation was then unnecessarily escalated to a shipping investigation, even though the item had already been returned and the seller hadn’t even collected it so it came back to me again. Instead of resolving a simple case, they delayed it further.
In total, I was left waiting over 4 weeks (and told it could take up to 6) for a refund on a very straightforward “not as described” claim.
The biggest issue is that I paid for Buyer Protection, yet:
* I still had to pay return postage
* I had to chase repeatedly
* I waited weeks for a resolution
This is not protection, it’s just an extra fee with no real benefit.
Threatened with legal action and was then ignored from then on.
Very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to be cautious as Vinted clearly protect those who make them money, not those who spend their own!
