Terrible customer support
Purchased a pair of trainers and when I received them they were a completely different colour to the ones in the sellers pictures. The seller also quickly removed the pictures immediately after I bought the trainers which I thought was strange, now I know why. Vinted customer support sided with the seller suggesting that next time I 'ask for more information and extra photos from sellers to avoid any misunderstanding'. Absolute rubbish. I feel ripped off. Anybody buying anything off Vinted please read the following if items purchased are being delivered by Evri,Do not trust this company,I now had issues with Evri since the 12th OCT 2025 over 3 lost parcels ,the collection point designated has just returned ALL parcels in there possession due to EVRI,s incompitance in not notifying customers of the arrival parcels, and now refuse to have any dealings with Evri from now on,The tracking system is not fit for purpose ,and courier reviews cannot be entered because the original address postcode is not recognised, also there comment on tracking history that parcels have been delivered is blatant LYING,How do they get away with this difunctional operations, I beg sellers not to use this delivery service ,it may be the lowest priced service but this might be because they have no avenue for compensation for contractual service fees for misplaced items.I expect a another copy and paste reply.a company with no morals.

I sent an item which did not arrive, the courier admitted there was a fault in their system and told me I had to raise it with Vinted. I tried, and tried, sent proof but they say I did not send it in time, I did, so they have closed the complaint. Why do we pay a buyers protection fee when selling? It seems wrong

Buyer protection? There is none whatsoever - in case of problems, you are at the mercy of the seller's decision. Vinted zero fees? You pay a mandatory, stupid fee for buyer protection, and yet you have no protection. Good luck with your purchases.

Purchased from some ‘genuine’ Chanel shoes to find out fraudulent. Vinted don’t check.
I purchased an expensive bag, paid £10.00 for the VINTED Authenticity verification, only to find a tag saying ‘New Again’ … nothing else to say what checks were done. My bag has a NFC, which they should have been found by a scanner, but nothing to suggest this and l can’t find a tag using my iPhone 16Pro max. Also the hologram is too simple and not 3D as D&G suggest.VINTED, why aren’t you performing the proper checks!!! NFC is an industry standard now and a phone/scanner should have this!!!
I PURCHASED THE BAG BASED ON A VINTED AUTHENICATION tag, but l feel they just tag everything and do nothing… it’s only afterwards l thought l had better check myself, but too late to return as only three days to do this.

This selling platform treats all buyers unfairly. They must have zero human intelligence!
Example: After over three years selling on the platform and a feedback score of 4.9 after many transactions Vinted issued a ban and shut my account down. Reason, I was scamming. I have never scammed in my life, but they think I have. We as sellers are human and humans may make mistake, which I think this issue may be possible. But vinted do not permit the seller to resolve the issue. This is very wrong and is just outrageous to think that every day you sell on this platform one day you will try to log in to find that someone has called you a scam!
I have some else who also experienced this type of treatment. They are aware that a buyer said to vinited that the item was not genuine. My friend I know always buys via the normal catalog people and the item 100% genuine. Yet vinted with no brains did not look into the issue correctly and just took the word from a buy who clearly did not want to pay and changed their mind!
Vinted team, if you read this, then take note. You are very much out of order as to how you treat people. Shame on you! I very much look forward to the day you go out of business, which at this rate will be sooner than you think.
I love vinted
I love vinted! The concept is great, reduces waste and I have bought gorgeous items for a fraction of the retail cost. Although most sellers are honest there are definitely some scammer sellers and the customer service isn’t great. I have had no issues with buyers. Overall I recommend this site but be prepared to expect some disappointments along the way.

I ordered a pair of Skechers trainer from a seller on Vinted
When they arrived the tread was worn away and the ball of the foot was paper thin. There were no photos of the soles of the shoes in the sellers information
The linings were rough and coming off the inside of the shoes
They were only fit for the bin
Within 5 minutes of receiving them I raised an issue with the seller and Vinted although vinted say that I was too late to raise the issue
They have since paid the seller my money and told me to sort it out with the seller
The seller won’t send me a cheque for the amount because they don’t do cheques
I’m not happy putting my bank details on this platform
I have advised the seller that they should put honest photos on items they’re selling and not to say there in good condition when they’re not wearable
Buyer Protection Is a Scam. Misrepresentation Ignored, Forced to Pay for Return
I purchased a pair of boots on Vinted that were listed as “Land Lover leather boots.” What I received was a completely different brand (Highlands Creek), made of synthetic materials, not leather at all.
This is a textbook case of misrepresentation, and under both EU and Irish consumer law, I have the right to a full refund with return shipping covered by the seller.
I had paid for Vinted’s Buyer Protection, which supposedly ensures support in cases like this. However, despite me providing full photo evidence of the false listing, the support team:
Refused to acknowledge the fraudulent listing
Told me to pay return shipping out of my own pocket
Ignored consumer law which states the seller is liable for costs in cases of misrepresentation
Repeatedly sent scripted, contradictory replies
Closed the case unless I paid to return the item myself within 5 days, effectively punishing me for being scammed
Worse still, they justified their inaction by saying the seller was “just a regular person,” as if that excuses fraud.
Meanwhile, Vinted profited from the transaction and the Buyer Protection fee I was charged with, which turned out to be completely meaningless.
This isn’t just poor service, it’s systemic negligence. Vinted facilitates fraudulent listings, then shifts the burden onto buyers when sellers lie.
I’ve now filed complaints with:
ECC Ireland
CCPC (Competition and Consumer Protection Commission)
And will escalate to the European Commission’s ODR platform
If you’re in Ireland or the EU, be aware that Vinted will not protect you when something goes wrong, even if you’re clearly defrauded.
They’ll take your money for Buyer Protection and leave you chasing your tail.
Avoid at all costs. This platform is not safe.

The customer sevice is non existent. My order was lost and then sent back to the seller. Vinted will not help.
The seller is willing to resend the package, all we need Vinted to do is issue a Shipping label but they won't. Their "customer service" is just ai bots and generated responses, over and over and over. They don't answer any questions. My issue is such a simple fix.

Received an item where seller didn't disclose a defect. Seller refused to cover return shipping cost. Vinted support sided with the seller quoting their terms and conditions. Same terms and conditions state that the seller must disclose any defects in the description. Vinted contradicts themselves and allows sellers to scam buyers with no repercussions. Avoid.

Vinted for Fake Goods
I purchased a Ralph Lauren shirt through Vinted. When I received it, it was very obviously a counterfeit shirt with no manufacturer's labels and some of the worst stitching I have ever seen on a shirt. I raised the issue with Vinted support team and provided them with several close up photos of the poor quality shirt. The outcome was Vinted found that the item was genuine (with no physical inspection) and the fraudulent seller was paid. This is essentially a company profiting from the sale of counterfeit goods. AVOID!!!

I was scammed with a person from France vinted user Paris. I sold him an original Alpinestars Racing jacket and he reported to vinted is fake. I reported him also and sent all proof to vinted about the jacket receipt, bank statement ect. Bought item on Vinted 31st October…
Bought item on Vinted 31st October which was taken from my account but the seller did not send. Tracking number provided which showed seller has not sent. On my account states will get a refund if not sent by the 7th November. It’s now the 9th and tracking shows not sent. Vinted refusing to refund unless I chase the seller. Awful company so they still have my money and no refund. Will be going to Financial Ombudsman as cannot believe all buyers with items not sent have to chase around.
