10 weeks and nothing. 4 weeks of me asking for a refund and finally got a refund at week 11. No explanation of why they couldn’t do what they advertise.

Scam
Scam. Google should be ashamed as they come up first when you search for ESTA applications. Don’t ever use this company. Use the govt website. It’s always quick and you don’t pay 10x the cost to be cheated out of your money.
Visa assistance Scam
While searching for info about how to go about applying for a Schengen visa, the 1st site that popped up was GovAssist. This was Aug 14,2024. By the name I thought it was a government site as I have also applied for visas for other countries. They advertised visa processing, documentation etc so when they asked for payment of $198.99 each per person I paid thinking it included assistance plus the processing fees since it was way above the usual visa application fee of $104. They assigned ang agent who sent me the application form & I filled it up online. Once completed they messaged me that I’d have to pay then they will assist me in getting a slot for biometrics. After about 2weeks the agent notified me that there were available slots but unfortunately I wasn’t able to secure it. So the agent said he’d monitor for any slots but I could also check myself for available slots. After about a week,Sept 6,I was able to secure slots & scheduled my appointment at the center for Sept 16. Then on Sept 11 the agent had the gall to send me a reminder about the appointment as if he was the one who booked it. Then at the center, confident that the fees were paid only to find out that it wasn’t! So the $198.99 each for 2 persons was only for that measly effort of assisting the filling up of forms & that one time that he advised us of the available slots!
I think they should put the disclaimer in bold print at the very beginning not at the bottom of the page. They are purposely leading the clients on with false advertising!!

Looks almost like official site for us visas but they are not
they should not put themselves first on google
they put themselves first on google if you search for esta, which is kind of misleading.
esta went trough, i was sent the document no problem. they also confirmed to delete all my data.
i just think they charge way too much and try to impersonate the official gov website. I hope they are very strict with their data security and truly delete information as requested.
Just one big scam
My wife, who hasn't travelled very much saw the govassist site at the top of the google search and thought that was the official Canadian Government site. She has been charged £47 for an EtA that should have only cost $7CAD. Appalling misrepresentation, and one big scam
I completed the application but at end…
I completed the application but at end realised that this website is at best a third party supplier and at worst a scam - stealing your passport information and personal details. It cant provide VISA because it doesn't provide a facility to scan the passport chip or facial recognition. I didn't pay but am concerned about my information.
Was a total rip off
Was a total rip off. Dont use this site! Paid 5 times the amount that I needed and not even sure If its an actual visa as I re applied for a new one.
SCAM and how to avoid
The only way to make this SCAM business (company) is to click their advertisement link, everyday on google.
For every click they have to pay to google, and this is the only way to get them out of this fraud business.

It's a scam
It's a scam! They took $59 in processing fees when the official website (we discovered after) only charged $12 for a UK visa. I've been trying to get them to respond and get a refund, per their policy, for the last three days without any response at all from them. Now, I'm just worried about what they can do with the passport copy I uploaded.

It’s scam
It’s scam, they deduct 59$ and after that requested 140€ and all that amounts were a fraud. They look like officials but it’s professional scam.
WARNING
WARNING. DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM TO APPLY FOR YOUR ESTA OR VISA TO THE USA. IT IS A FRAUD, YOU WILL END UP PAYING 89$ RATHER THAN THE OFFICIAL 21$, AND NOT RECEIVE YOUR ESTA ANYWAY. I HAVE HAD TO CLOSE MY CREDITCARD AFTER FALLING INTO THIS TRAP
GovAssist are scammers
GovAssist are scammers. They debited R2517.88 on the 18th & 23rd of March and R3626 on the 21st of March 2024, without my authority. AdrianP promised to refund it. They still haven't refunded. They send reviews themselves as if they are a good company to deceive people.

Scam - what to do if you have fallen for it
I have written this review to hopefully help others out who have been scammed by showing the process of damage control post scam.
There is a legit GovAssist LLC site (or seemingly legit if you trust the positive reviews for the trustpilot page of that site) that also charge $89 for a US ESTA. Whilst possibly not a scam, they do charge an unnecessarily high cost - you can get the same ESTA for $21 (my partner did this one via the official government site and got his visa back in an hour and a half, site is: esta.cbp.dhs.gov).
HOWEVER, there is another 'GovAssist' or 'Visa GovAssist' site that does not have LLC in it's title, which is definitely a scam. I went into full on panic mode when I realised it was a scam as they have taken a whole bunch of personal details including my address, passport details (and my daughter's), bank card details on payment, work details, social media handles and so on.
If you have fallen for this scam, don't feel stupid, scams are designed to trick people. I personally have never applied for a visa before so just took the first site as legit because it was sponsored by Google. I think it's disgraceful that Google are making money out of this and they should take the site down.
ANYWAY, onto damage control, I did the following after realising I'd fallen for a scam:
- reported to the fraud department, in the UK it's Action Fraud UK and you can find the site linked to by official UK sites so you know its legit if you're suddenly feeling nervous to input data online. You can also phone them to report it.
- reported bank card as stolen so they can't take anymore payments
- cancel passports - obviously this is very stressful potentially if you've left it late to apply for a visa. Most UK passports go through and get returned within a week, you can go the emergency passport route to apply for a new one if you've got days to go before your trip. You may decide not to cancel straight away - I'm just going off of what the HM Passport Service advised as bank accounts and other things can be set up with a valid passport.
- unfortunately there is nothing I can do about them having my address, we're moving soon thankfully but still feels like such an invasion :(
- change handles and passwords on social media pages you linked or provided
- notify anyone whose email you provided for your emergency contact to ignore any emails or calls from visa services
- report the website as fraudulent to Google
This all created so much admin and stress and worry. I'm so sorry if you too have fallen for this scam. I hope this review helps prevent people falling for it/helps them do damage control if they have fallen for it.
Don’t use govassist as you pay $89 rather than $21
Although not a scam I used this to apply for an esta to USA at a cost of $89
I could have done it via USA official application for $21
Do not use this website and apply directly- I think google are partly responsible as this comes up as top hit if you type in ESTA
Fraudulent company
Fraudulent company, these people put themselves at the top of ESTA searches for the US with google ads and charge 10 times the price of an application. They promise a 3 hour ESTA but actually only SUBMIT your application in three hours, whereas doing it on the government website does it instantly.
Deceitful marketing, rip off prices. Basically praying that you don't realize its not a government site.
