Visit Cape Verde Reviews 

I was robbed in Boavista Cabo Verde, as they do it regularly at desert place between Karamboa hotel and Morabeza cafe Every day many cases of stolen mobiles etc at Morabeza and other beach cafes. In dessert was reported armed robberies daytime. Solo women absolutely avoid to go. Women targeting by crimes gangs. Police working not for you, if you know what thats means. They robbed you and kick out of country as soon as possible.

Before you consider going to Cape Verde it might be advisable to check out the AccuWeather site which gives air quality ratings for different countries. Had I known about this before I booked, I would not have travelled there.
To be fair even when the air quality was said to be in the dangerous zone (frequently) I never noticed anything at ground level but it doesn't mean to say that the data is wrong and it isn't a health risk, particularly if you have medical problems.
The weather during my stay in January February was very unsettled, very windy and very cloudy, if you are going for a fly and flop you may be disappointed with the amount of sun.

Went with TUI to Sal, Cape Verde in February. Two big problems. 40 mph winds and the awlful fly infested and very slow check-in and security at the airport at Sal.
The weather was not warm enough to compensate for such high winds.

Amazing weather, beautiful beaches and such friendly locals, will visit again. Booked excursions with Elvis Tours, who have a really good team.
