This product (which health conscious consumers may purchase) should not be on sale. I purchased it at Walmart. Walmart should boycott selling it! I paid $20+ to ingest lead! It’s disgusting to have this on the market it’s comical to state on their container ‘Your Wellness Routine is in for a treat’ Then there is a warning on their container that is contrary that states: WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. So is it stating that if it’s sold anywhere else in the world this product will not harm?!

This review is to warn people about the collagen powder.
I purchased the collagen powder. I took it for three days in the morning, in my coffee, when I started to notice terrible headaches, heart palpitations, and Leg twitching. I contacted the company as I was worried. No interest at all in my side effects. After I did some research, I found a publication showing that Vital collagen is contaminated with heavy metals, so I asked the company to provide a lab test for heavy metals, but they were unable to do that. Also, I have requested a full refund, and they were arguing that the product is open and cannot be accepted for return. This is alarming. Everyone should be very cautious of these big companies and what they are selling. I will address this further.

I bought this powder and it does work for nails and hair, however I wish someone has warned me about horrible heart palpitations that those powders can cause. I know that I am minority but even so, this is a very dangerous side effects that can lead to heart failure in a longer run. Once I stopped using it my symptoms were gone.

I purchase my product from Costco. If I have an issue, I've never had a problem returning it. I have never dealt with Vital Proteins company directly. I have been using their product for 2+ years now and love it.
I do not care for any of Vital Proteins flavored collagen proteins. The unflavored is great. It leaves little or no taste to the drinks I add it to mostly to hot liquids. I don't care for it in water or iced tea. I add it to a hot drink, and it dissolves quickly with no clumping. The downfall for me is adding it to cold liquids. There is terrible clumping and the clumps become slimey. It never really dissolves except if I add it to a smoothy or a cold drink that I prepare in my Nutri-bullet or blender. I don't know if this is limited to Vital Proteins or if a powdered collagen supplement, in general, has this character. I've read that most powdered collagen supplements do not mix well in cold liquids, the secret to mixing collagen into cold liquids is, mixing it first in room temperature liquid, once dissolved, then pour and stir into your cold liquid and mix as usual. This seems to work much better for mixing into cold liquids that you aren't using a blender to mix with. You do need to allow for some additional prep time as you need to have your liquid at room temperature ahead of time.

Bought 2 large bottles of protein powder from their official website recently. They arrived on 7th october 2023 but both of them expires on 9th December 2023. I can’t believe they sell nearly expired protein powders and have the audacity to sell it through their official website. I have totally lost my trust on the Vital proteins brand and will be switching to a different brand. What kind of manufacturer sells nearly expired products on their official website ? Only sloppy ones do that and I now doubt the integrity of their brand and product. There might be lead and cadmium in there since they can’t even track the expiry dates of their products properly. Nearly expired products are usually sold via third party vendors at a large discount. Terrible experience.

I've had a monthly subscription thru Amazon for the past year. Received the recent delivery 4 days ago 9/22/23 and the package was damaged and half empty. Amazon doesn't refund or replace 3rd party providers, and I cannot reach Vital Proteins-when I call, they have me on hold for up to an hour until it turns 5PM Central time and then they say sorry we're closed. Also, have noticed the product is slimy and has a yellow tinge to it. Canceled the order thru Amazon and am pretty pissed off so I choose to write a negative review. Jennifer Aniston, are you still their spokesperson?

Bought Vital Proteins ... It said one could mix with cold or hot water. Added the tablespoons to glass of cold water and it's like a slime blob in the bottom of my glass. Can't even get the blobs to mix in any way. GROSS!

I have a standing order with this company. For reasons unknown, the courier returned my order to sender. I have been unable to contact anyone in this company to get a refund. I would not recommend ordering from them

Dishonest company advertising 20% discount on a £40 product snd gives you £2 . Complete false advertising spoke to chat service who advise already discount by 15% so the £2 is the 5% discount what an absolute con . Altho reading the other reviews they are proper charlatans so I’m glad I had a lucky escape

So far my experience has been terrible. I hope this is rectified. Despite Vital Proteins having my correct address on file, the package wasn't able to be delivered due to the wrong suburb being listed on the package and therefore was redirected automatically to the sender's warehouse address where it was listed as delivered by Australia Post. Although Australia Post has confirmed this to be the case in writing, when I contacted Vital Proteins with proof that the package was in fact not delivered to me, I am still being made to wait until they can see if they can locate their own package in their warehouse before they can help me with either re-sending the items or a refund. It's very frustrating considering I've waited over a month now for my order and can provide proof it wasn't delivered to me, and yet they don't believe me. You would think they could simply confirm with Australia Post as I did, that this information is in fact true and then rectify the situation asap.

I was really worried when I read reviews after I placed my order but I received great service. Ordered on the 7th June delivered next day. Already can tell a difference with my nails and hair

Horrible treatment. They continued my subscription after canceling it weeks prior. I called and stopped it before it shipped out. Still waiting on my refund. Everyone I've talked to there is rude and unhelpful.

If I only coud give 0 star, but... Anyway, THE WORSEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever had so far! On Still didn't recieve my order, there's no contacts pr phone number to reach customer service and by mailing them.theu don't response! My major mistake is that I didn't check trustpilot reviews, which definitely could give me the best decision, to not buy from their website!

I placed an order and still hadn't received it more than 2 weeks later. I submitted emails and calls requesting information and never received any response. I was finally able to get on a chat with an online agent and was informed the delay was due to one of the items ordered going out of stock after my order was placed - essentially VP was just sitting on my order and never going to send the rest of the items, didn't let me know that the item was out of stock, but had no problem charging my credit card for items not provided. I finally received a full refund after canceling my entire order (I'll now find a new brand for collagen).

Severe headaches & neckache when taking this product. Sleep was non existent - wont use again

Have been using VP collagen powder for many months as it really was helping the osteoarthritis in my hands. Serving was two scoops (2 Tbs.) per day, and it dissolved well in my morning coffee. My hands were good all day. Just got a new jar from Costco with the ‘no scoop’ label and new serving size is 4 Tbs. Tried using 2 Tbs. as I have always done, and my hands were stiff and painful by evening. I’m sure they have changed the formula as it also leaves a sludge in the bottom of my cup even after stirring well. I believe they’ve added more filler. I can’t afford to pay twice as much, so I will be moving on to something else!

Ignoring the product itself, do NOT subscribe from their website. Why? Because you will NOT be able to cancel your subscription. I cancelled on my end as I will be moving and going abroad for a few months, and then got charged again as the subscription somehow added itself back to my account.

Then I tried for a 2nd time to cancel the subscription and it doesn't even go through. Customer service is absolutely awful. It's fair to say that I will never buy from this company ever again.

Writing a review here because I tried to do so at Boots where I purchased this and it was blocked with no explanation. It appears they are filtering out less positive reviews of the product.

The text of my review is here: I am writing another review as my first was blocked with no explanation, I think it’s important for transparency that not only 5* reviews are allowed. This is definitely not tasteless and makes your drink slightly thicker, I personally find it a bit unpleasant but it is drinkable. It doesn’t mix well with cold drinks, but more easily in hot drinks. I have yet to notice an impact on my hair and skin.
