Just excellent service

Ordered a bat online for my son and really appreciated their knowledge and advice. Used the knocking in service too and they made sure it was ready for last weekend's matches. Also bought some shoes when I was there - didn’t realise until I got home that there were a couple of spikes missing. We couldn't get back that day but no problem, they posted me a whole pack out first class. They're just a really easy company to deal with who know their audience and love cricket!! I will return.

good prices, knowledge and staff

My son has recently taken up cricket, so we've had to stock up on various bits of kit, and this place has been fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
It's brilliant to see small independents like this still going—I really hope they continue for many years to come. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for quality cricket gear and great service.

Best Cricket Store in the UK

This is the second cricket bat I've purchased from VKS, and both times Vinay has been incredibly humble and helpful. is experience being invaluable! He goes above and beyond a simple transaction, taking the time to discuss my needs and offer valuable advice to ensure I make the right choice.
In my opinion, VKS is the best cricket shop in London, and possibly even the UK. Having lived in South Africa, New Zealand, and now the UK, I've visited many sports shops, but none compared to the personalized service I've received at VKS. Despite having AJ Sports right near me, the exceptional experience at VKS makes the journey worthwhile. While everyone at the shop is helpful, I've been fortunate to work directly with Vinay.
Thank you, VKS! Please keep your passion for the sport and your customers alive – it's what truly sets you apart.

Online order with excellent service

Ordered a bat for my club in Germany. I got prompt pictures and very helpful advice on the phone, to help me choose exactly what I was looking for. The knocking-in is very reasonably priced and the bat arrived just 8 days later, fully knocked and ready to go.
I highly recommend the shop for their choice of cricket equipment as well as that extra personal service so often lacking nowadays.

A store that is really well stocked…

A store that is really well stocked with both junior and adult cricket equipment. The staff are very knowledgable and offer really good advice. What I really liked the best was the large range of cricket bats that are on display and my kids were able to pick up and try out. Well worth the visit, highly recommended.

VKS softs are great. The owner helpful

1. Communication and Flexibility. I wrote to Vinay before paying for my order. He responded on a Sunday within a few hours. I was having some problems with my bank cards verification because I was buying from overseas but would be visiting the UK so I wanted to have the items sent to an address there, which was clearly very different to my billing address. We used a different payment method which worked great and he delivered in the promised 3 days to the third party address. 2. Vinay gave excellent advice on glove sizing with regards to different manufacturers fits. So when i said what had fitted me in the past he was able to make a recommendation on what would be the right size in another brand. 3.The VKS pads and gloves are the best I have had. I've had a previous generation and these are even better. I love that the quality of the VKS own brand is on a par and possibility better than some big brands. I got 6 years of Summer and Winter cricket (Australia) out of the pads with good care and even now I've only changed them because the new design looks even better. The pittard gloves are 100% best I've had- better than GM, SS, SG, Newbury, Kingsgrove. If nothing changes, then I'll keep getting my softs from VKS.

Lack of Customer Service

If you have a lot of knowledge about cricket and know exactly what you want, then this store may work for you. However if you need assistance or advice, these are in short supply. There isn't any real customer service. If you are buying cricket equipment for your child then I'd strongly recommend you go to AJ Sports in Clapham. Excellent shop with excellent advice.

I wish I could give it 0. Customer Service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life and I should know, I work in retail. You only need to see the rest of the trust pilot reviews to notice how bad they are with everyone experiencing the same thing. Don't make the same mistake I did and order from them!
I made the mistake on relying on this company to deliver an order that I placed for someone’s birthday. I paid for next day delivery. I was called the next day to say it wasn’t even in stock to send out the next day even though I’d paid for everything and online it showed as being in stock. I was told it would be arriving in stock to them the next day so I’d get the gift 3 days late. I called 4 days later to enquire where my order was and ‘apparently’ he forgot to call me as no Medium sized jumper had come into stock as expected (which is what I ordered). They’d now arrive next week so I requested my next day delivery fee back and accepted the late arrival of the jumper. He explained despite my bank statement showing I’d been charged that I was not telling the truth as they hadn’t charged me. After much dispute he said things like ‘when you call your bank will you have the decency to call back and apologise to me’, ‘you’ve had your turn to speak now it’s mine’ and much much more including talking over me the entire time. Gobsmacked to have been spoken to like this so I’ve cancelled my order as cannot trust this company AT ALL. Has left me feeling awful for the day as this was a present and it’s caused such a backlash and I’ve been spoken to like a piece of dirt.

Most disgusting customer service ever…

Most disgusting customer service ever received in my life , please make sure you ask the owners with full terms and conditions on faulty product .
They will never exchange or refund on their faulty products .
Don’t buy from them , don’t trust them they have no sense of customer service and their attitude is disgusting .

Don't make the same mistake

I made the mistake on relying on this company to deliver an order that I placed in good faith. After calling to find out why my order is two days overdue, I was told that it won't actually be sent to me for at least another two weeks. No contact from VKS to explain the delay of any kind, they're just an utter shambles and I won't be using them again. Don't make the same mistake I did and go somewhere else.

Ridiculous Service

I placed the order of Cricket Bag on Monday 6 P.M. and paid extra for 1-Day Delivery. I was expecting the order to be delivered on Tuesday but then I called them and then said that the orders after 2:30 P.M. cannot be delivered on the following day hence I was expecting my delivery to be made on Wednesday. This itself is bad because on their payment page they didn’t have this term written anywhere. Am I supposed to scan their website to find the terms and condition of 1 day delivery? Why is it not on the payment page?
After that I get a mail from DPD saying my order will be delivered on Thursday. Really? I paid extra money for 1-day delivery and you are delivering my order after 2 days? I wrote them an email and guys don’t bother responding. When I called them on Tuesday they said, 99% of our customers are okay so you need to look carefully on the website.

Cricket bat collection - bring your slip

I've been using this shop for many years (10+), particularly for cricket (bats, pads, gloves) but also badminton (rackets) and tennis (grips). On the 28th July, I left a bat (previously bought from them) to get oiled, knocked in and have protective sheet/tape added.

When I went to collect it, I forgot the slip, but I was pleased that they would be able to find it using my name (I did give them other details eg. date I handed it in, bat name). The lady at the till couldn't find the slip but the elderly gentleman was able to find the bat.

So far so good, but while they were trying to find the original slip (so I could sign I had collected the bat) the lady said I had given her a different name to what was on the slip. I did give her my full name, but she heard my first name. I did point this out - and was annoyed at her insistence it was my mistake.

A couple of points to think about VKS:
1) You need to be specific and request surname (if thats what you use on your slips).
2) Its easy to lose customers with bad service. There was no need to imply I didn't know my own name. Try and remember we all have a first name and surname, just because you are looking for one and it turns out to be the other that is not my fault.

Having personally spent hundreds of pounds in this shop, its sad that they are let down by a bit of poor customer service. I have brought in my friends and family to buy cricket bats and gear from you, so I feel extra bad to have been treated this way.

Bad service when buying a cricket helmet

Went to vks to purchase a cricket helmet. There were two older chaps who served me and came across as not too satisfying in terms of tone when asked questions about any returns and exchange of product. Clearly in a rush and after I did make the purchase and asked for a receipt I wasn’t given one with product details instead was told they only do the small till receipt with the amounts on them. When asked for a bag, the guy just left it on the table and did not put the box into the bag nor offered to help. Very bad attitude! I hope this experience is not practiced on a daily basis as it’s such a shame to some of the bigger brands they sell.

Bad experience

Ordered a bat on 16 Nov 2017, only got told it has shipped on 5 December 2017 after i had to e-mail and ask about it. Online i paid for Courier shipping, only to find out it was sent via Air MAIL..... excuse is that shipping rates have gone up by 50%.. Then fix your website pricing VKS.....IF I WANTED AIR MAIL I WOULD HAVE SAID SO.... i am astonded that they have a 9 out of 10 rating....... then they send me a Mail thanking me for the 1 star review in a sarkastic manner. Hence me editing this review and adding it.

Great Service!!

First time ordering with VKS and I must say, it was easy. They replied to all emails very promptly and helped me to choose a bat as well as some pads and gloves. It all arrived the next day and was perfect.

Will certainly buy from them again and reccomend them to my club mates.
