Complete scam, don’t fall for it.
Having worked in the sales & music industry for some time I’m fortunate to be able to recognise both a scam & a sales pitch when I see one. This ticks both boxes.
A man from Vox called me up and spent the first 2 minutes of the call tripping over his words. It was regarding a modelling application I had submitted, which I don’t recall submitting to ‘Vox Talent’ and explained how the process works. The catch is that you need to pay £50 deposit to book a photo shoot, and the portfolio is £299 (ridiculously overpriced)….If anyone actually wants to get a portfolio made you can do this by going to any amateur photographer and pay significantly less.
The company Vox Talent seems to be a sequel to Hashtag models who have the exact same website, pictures & format, who are also riddled with negative reviews. Neither of these 2 companies exist on companies house, unsurprisingly.
The company (scammers) seem to be very offended by negative reviews as they’ve taken the time out to reply to some of them with unprofessional responses riddled with typing errors.
Don’t bother, if you want to get into the modelling industry, find an amateur photographer on Instagram, get some shots done, make your own portfolio and send them out to legitimate agencies who won’t request payments from you.
Edit - I have been requested by the company to remove the person’s name from my review from Vox. It’s a bit strange how they’ve made no attempt to respond to my review outing then as a scam, yet they’re quick enough to want someone’s name removing..
If I could leave a 0 I would
UPDATE
***Since leaving the review I have been contacted three times. Twice by vox asking to remove this review and once by another member of staff that was handling my application. They seem to be very interested in protecting their image rather than customer/client care***
If I could leave a 0 I would. Was in the midst of setting up appointments, and as life does it got in the way. I work an office job where I can’t always answer my phone and I got a reply from the employee dealing with my application saying “absolute waste of my time” disgusting professional behaviour. No wonder they’re desperate and pushy if that’s the way they’re treating possible clientele

Super unprofessional, call cut out and received horrible message back immediately after.
UPDATE - after realising I came back to update my review, I never signed up for voxtalent, I signed up for another agency and they somehow got my details, this is a SCAMMMM.
........
Sent in an application with a photo, and received a call back the next day. As I had gone on holiday camping, with very little reception, when receiving the call, the call cut out. Exactly 3 minutes later whilst i was walking out to receive better reception to call them back, I received a snotty message stating that I'm a time waster, that I purposefully cut the call after putting in the tike to create an application, that I mustn't just send my photos to "random companies" and i must not contact them back because my application will be closed. Very disappointed as this was very unproffessional. Make sure you don't have bad cell service, to ensure you dont get on Adams bad side :(
Such a brilliant day.
Such a brilliant day.
I was asked to bring in 5 outfits. The stylists and makeup artist made me feel so relaxed. I was worried a little as i have never done this before.
The results came out amazing. I was extremly pleased with the images. I was happy with the package i was offered and they have also put me forward to a few agencies that will help me get into Catalogue and commercial work.
I was so pleased with how incredible i looked on the day. I loved every moment.
I would definitely recommend getting started if this is the path you are choosing to take.
Im so impressed!!
Great Customer Service & Advice
Firstly I would like to apologise for jumping the gun on my first review. I had assumed you guys were an agency and reviewed you from that respect. You help people by offering portfolio building and that is great for those who are starting out. A good portfolio for modeling or acting is essential if you want to be noticed. If you want to have one done in one day - if you're just starting out - then £299 is a very reasonable price for a varied, professional portfolio. You take your own outfits, though they throw in hair and make-up in the price too, making it very reasonable. Their customer care is fabulous. John, who called me, was incredibly helpful even though I wasn't actually looking to have a portfolio done. He gave some great advice about agencies to apply to, and I'm really grateful for this. John didn't have to giv up his time to someone who wasn't going to be a customer, but he chose to help anyway. A top guy. Thank you.

I was asked to write a review once I had been to see them in person. The service was good, no real complaints, but i am only givibg them three stars as I thought it was a whole day thing, not just half a day. I had booked train tickets for 6pm from Euston to Birmingham, and arrived in at 9am so was waiting all day at a loose end. The shoot itself was fun, just lots of waiting for me. That is my experience anyway.

Read the good the bad and the ugly on here before you go.....however this was my experience.
I entered an online competition All shapes age and sizes. I am 50.
Good sales pitch at the beginning on the back of a photo I submitted ...that's their job to sell you the services provided by the studio...this is your shoot....your choice of clothes and to see if this kind of work will actually suit you...
It costs money to hire makeup artists, hairstylists and photographers..the studio, the electric to do everything for you for your shoot....It also does cost to have cameras and digital equipment to create your portfolio....whichever catergory you choose is up to you....so I suggest before you pay the deposit do your homework....
Once I arrived at the studio I was really surprised how busy it was and how professional the staff were on that day...
5 outfit changes including an outdoor shoot, the sun was glorious.
Hair and Makeup changed 3 times. Basic, Day to Day and Evening. I was being transformed and was over the moon how I looked....but I was blown away with the female photographer who gave me so much confidence and guided me every step of the way..just wow...made the whole experience so worth while and I would love to do it all again . I did also purchase my e-portfolio as the pictures were so good. Once in a lifetime experience for me. X

THIS IS A SCAM *** AVOID ***
THIS IS A SCAM *** AVOID ***
I was called up after seeing a Vox Talent advert for modelling on FB.
The guy very swiftly took a £50 deposit which he said would be refunded when I arrived on time for the session.
I arrived on time at TS Studio Camden. A family emergency arose and I had to leave abruptly, I spoke to the studio contact and didn’t want to disclose the private details.
On my way back to the tube I thought it was weird that my card details hadn’t been taken down and no refund offered. So despite the time it took to go back to the studio, I did, as something didn’t feel right.
Upon arriving I asked to see the form I had signed so I could take a picture and was disappointed to see the reason for my not doing the session was “wouldn’t give a reason, walked in and said she didn’t want to do it - quite agitated.’ The studio contact was unapologetic when I pointed out that was untrue (I had my suitcase full of outfits with me). She shrugged and said “I don’t think you want to be here.’ With a thin smile.
I took a photograph of the form which did not have the reference number the chap on the telephone had given me and said would be required for my refund. I asked for my refund, the studio contact said ‘We don’t have access to your bank account here, email head office and they will do it straight away.
So that was a lie about being refunded on the day.
By the way, TS Studio is not professional, a really basic setup; a black or white backdrop, minimal lights, a photographer, studio contact and a tired looking Photoshop editor furiously editing the pictures. I felt sorry for her. And a make up woman in the gallery floor upstairs. Not a great first impression.
The grim atmosphere was more supermarket (Asda) than a photographer’s studio.
I think the deal at TS Studios Camden is to screw more money out of naive punters (me) to pay for a portfolio. I think I dodged a bullet.
I’ve since discovered real agencies don’t screw you to take pictures. More fool me.
So do your research first.
Since the ‘session’ on April 30th I have not been refunded, despite emailing three times and ringing three times. I called back the chap who initially rang me and got another number yesterday to ring but it just goes to ansaphone and noone has called me back.
Vox Talent is a rip off and in cahoots with the TS Studios Camden to get as much money as they can. I’m sure they just hired the studio space to coin it in.
No photographs of anyone on the walls. Very suspicious.
No real details about the people who have made a success of modelling.
Vox Talent and TS Studios need to be shut down. Totally unprofessional, deceitful and scam artists!
Some people have said their experience was a good one, but mine wasn’t.
Update: I eventually got the £50 refund on May 15th after much persistence and frustration.
Amazing!
My lad went last week, he loved it, they took care of him and seems like they had his best interests at heart, at first I was hesitant due to reading the reviews but I am so happy that I took him
Scam
Scam, you have to pay £50 pounds to get registered, and then £299 for the assessment without guarantee that you will be offered a job, avoid it !

Very dodgy company who exaggerated…
Very dodgy company who exaggerated their clients’ success stories and asked for £100 deposit over the phone before I’d had a chance to research the bad reviews. I told them days in advance that I had a family emergency and would really appreciate a refund so I could use the money to travel home and my emails and phone calls were ignored. After reading reviews I wouldn’t go to this appointment on your own for safety reasons and they might pressure you to pay a lot of money for the shoot!

This is a scam.
They present themself as a modelling agency and then proceed to suggest you will need a portfolio of photos to ‘stand out’.
No reputable modelling agency will ever ask for payment for a portfolio as they don’t use professional portfolios before signing people up.
They see them in person and then will crest a portfolio for that person free of charge.
This is nearly an overpriced photoshoot and you will be left with a number of photos you will never be able to use as no modelling agency will be interested in them. Infact most insist on selfies.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a photo shoot at Vox Talent on 18/4/23, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the team at Vox Talent made me feel welcome, comfortable, and confident in front of the camera.
The photographers and staff members were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. They listened carefully to my needs and preferences and used their expertise to create stunning photos that truly captured my personality.
The studio itself is well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a range of backdrops and props to choose from. The lighting was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and fun, making for an enjoyable and stress-free experience.
What's more, the final product was simply outstanding. The photos were of the highest quality, and the attention to detail was remarkable. The team at Vox Talent clearly takes great pride in their work, and it shows in every aspect of their service.
Overall, I cannot recommend Vox Talent highly enough. Whether you're in need of headshots, product photography, or any other type of photography services, Vox Talent is the way to go. They are professional, talented, and committed to customer satisfaction. Thank you, Vox Talent, for an unforgettable experience and some truly stunning photos.

was approached by this company today to offer me a photoshoot for mature models was asked for £50 deposit and then i could but the portfolio starting at £299 this would then be assessed and forwarded to agencies for work.
on checking this out i found the pictures and reviews on this site are also the same as a company called HASHTAG MODLES & MORE this is very suspicious
update;
This is not an unfair review you are promising work in the modeling industry but the client has to buy the portfolio and find her own work, this whole game is a way of making money with the promis of work at the end iv checked the reviews on this and very very few people have had any work. THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVEIW BY ALL MEANS WASTE YOUR MONEY BUT DO YOUR RESERCH FIRST. yeah £299 is cheap but i asked and was told that the best ones to get work were in the region of £3000 so this company needs to take down the lies and stop scamming people because first of all their website states you have to be a minimum of 5ft 8inches to be accepted for any work yet at 5' 4" i was told that was ok, obviously to get your money and make false promises it is
