The complete lack of any support
The index itself was delivered quickly and worked well. However the premium bundle wasn't delivered at all. The index was supposed to come with a couple of games and Half Life Alyx along. I wrote their support, no answer. I write again 4 days later, automated answer. One week later only email I get is "we consider the transaction now fulfilled". Not even a phone number to call and no way of getting back my money. I hope I never have any hardware problems cause I'd have to go through the store to get my guarantee fulfilled but apparently there's only people working there when they can make a quick buck but vanish if you have any issues. What a ripoff, especially for that huge price
Edit: So as feared, it has happened, after a month talking with steam support directly they said they are going to send a replacement headset cause my current one is not working properly, so I write vr-store because they claim to help with support requests like these. And I get no answer. Literally not even a single email writing me back (and there's no phone number to call). Write them again to nudge them, but still nothing.
Luckily for me personally I know someone who I can send the replacement to across the border (because steam doesn't send to Switzerland, hence why we need the help of the vr-store for these requests), but holy cow, if you personally don't have that, good buy 1500CHF because your headset doesn't work and the guy doesn't seem to care to ever respond to anything (not the first time this happened, that he either doesn't respond at all or just stops halfway through an email exchange).
While technically not a scam (because I got the VR set), the whole support system (which is an important part of the price, since Index is notorious for breaking down and needing replacements) is non-existent which effectively makes getting any replacements impossible, thus making it a complete waste of money in the end.
