We did the boat trip yesterday. Absolutely amazing. It's like being thrown back to the 1600's. Jip and Pim ( host and skipper ) are lovely dudes, and made us feel very welcome. A must do when in Amsterdam.
This was such a nice and interesting tour! You are guided through a beautiful part of old Amsterdam, while a guide gives you really inspiring info on the history of Amsterdam, interspersed with lively VR animations of how live looked like in the 17th century. And the crew was very friendly and helpful. So, I highly recommend this tour!
I've been to some Amsterdam boat tours, and decided to give this "unique" one a try. Boy, what an experience was it! The boat tour takes about 75 minutes which 15 minutes of it is VR, and at least 25 minute has an English or Dutch(they said more to come!) voiceover that tells the beautiful story of the Amsterdam!
I enjoyed the VR visuals which accurately depicted me the 17th century Amsterdam, VR content was high quality and explanatory! I think this was a great utilisation of VR in this kind of a context!
They said more content will be coming so I will be eager to revisit again!
