If I could score zero I would. Customer service as mentioned by many is dreadful. Clearly farmed out to the lowest cost base provider. Zero capability to resolve - both chat and call. I wonder i... See more

Awful picture quality at the Vue Watford.
I went to a performance of the 4K restoration of the Sound of Music in screen 5 at the Vue cinema in Watford. Sadly, the image was dull with all the colours washed out.Such a disappointment. My bluray of the film has grain but is bright with vibrant colours. Also, they forgot to switch on the projector for nearly fifteen minutes. A member of the audience went to find out what was going on.
Cribbs causeway Bristol
Cribbs causeway Bristol. Took family for birthday treat but typically idiots talking loudly all through the film!
Cinema for profit first and customers last
I had a very disappointing experience with Vue Stratford, both in terms of customer service and the way the cinema operates.
When I had an issue rebooking tickets, I followed their troubleshooting advice and even used live chat support. The chat was closed on me before my issue was resolved, leaving me stranded. In the end, I had to borrow someone else’s phone just to rebook. For a company of this size, the customer support feels dismissive and unhelpful.
On top of that, Vue’s tiered seating system feels unfair and purely profit-driven. Seats in the center of the cinema — which used to be the standard — are now branded as “premium” and cost extra. This means you either pay more for a decent view or settle for uncomfortable seats at the edges or front. For families or groups, the added cost quickly becomes unreasonable. What they call “choice” is really just a hidden price hike.
To make matters worse, there is no staff presence during screenings to deal with people making noise, talking, or using phones. It leaves customers paying more for a disrupted experience that Vue does nothing to manage.
Overall, the combination of poor customer service, exploitative seat pricing, and lack of in-cinema support makes Vue feel like a company more interested in squeezing profits than providing a fair and enjoyable cinema experience.
Most cinema are following this policy and I suggest either using video on demand services, streaming or search for the few community based cinemas that may offer a better deal.
Disappointing experience with Vue in…
Disappointing experience with Vue in Piccadilly Circus, booked vip seats to enjoy a proper London cinema experience with my girlfriend… I was shocked by the quality of the seating , had that uncomfortable plastic feel.. The size of the screen was a let down too to say the least. Spent a lot of money on this, would not recommend. I am giving it 3 stars due to the fact that the staff members were pretty welcoming and lovely.
Kindness
I book 3 seats on line.was taken poorly in bed with throat infection on antibiotics.my 2 freinds went.just before the film I had started I had a email from the veiw refunding my ticket money.cheered me up no end,not the money but the thought and kindness without even asking.thank you the vue
Surly Staff, Useless Management, and Humiliating Experience
We visited Vue Altrincham to see a 15-rated film with my daughter three adults and a 15-year-old. My daughter doesn’t carry her passport, and as her mother, I didn’t think I’d need ID for her. We assumed that our presence as responsible adults would be enough, but the staff refused entry because she “looked too young.” From the moment we questioned this, the team was dismissive, surly, and seemed completely unsure how to handle three adults trying to clarify a simple point, creating an intimidating, mob-like atmosphere.
Adding to the frustration, a group of youths who appeared a similar age (and possibly younger) were allowed in unaccompanied and with questionable ID showing inconsistent and careless enforcement. The manager was useless, and getting a refund took far too long. The whole experience was humiliating and frustrating, and highlighted a team of inexperienced staff who barely looked over 18 and had no real customer service training.
This is not the first time we have experienced poor customer service at this location, and we will not be returning.
Absolutely fantastic service from…
Absolutely fantastic service from Tyrese at the Shepherds Bush Westfield Vue.
Me and my sister had booked tickets to the new demon slayer movie when she suddenly became very ill at the front counter and subsequently threw up.
Tyrese handled the situation phenomenally providing; water, ice, tissue, first aids packs, general medical advice and free complimentary VIP tickets even a free tango ice blast!
We can’t thank him enough, God bless him and his family
Utterly disgusted, appalled and enraged…
Turned up to watch a rated 15 film. I was appalled when myself and my two fifteen year old daughters were refused entry after forgetting their id (not that they have any anyway) we were asked to return food for a refund. Ruined our night, they were so excited. Staff utterly rude, (think they were in training, but no excuse) we have made it in plenty of times without any problems. I am not happy.
I cannot believe this
We booked to go see the conjuring: last rites, three of us and we brought everything e.g. food, tickets, parking. Walked up and they said that my 2 of my 15 year old daughters looked underage and asked for ID but what 15 year old has ID. We tried to explain, but they made us leave, taking the fun away from our Friday night.
Everything went wrong made me wait 6…
Everything went wrong made me wait 6 years for the demon slayer movie just to tell me I can’t watch it just because I’m 1 month away from from being 15 honestly I hate this place so much ruined my whole day and Wallahi I’m praying on this place downfall
Great experience but not wallet friendly
Wow! Cinemas have really changed since I was a child. I remember sticky floors and cramped seats, but Vue feels much more modern and almost luxury now. The seats are really comfy with plenty of space, and wide aisles make the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. That’s said, it definitely comes at a cost. What used to be a cheap night out is now really expensive, and the food prices are extortionate.
Very poor service - avoid
I attended Vue Gunwarf on 9th Sept. 25 to see a screening of NT-Live. The seats cost £22 each for our party of 3 so a total of £66.
Out of the 2 hour screening the first 45 minutes of audio was out of sync with the picture with a delay of over a second giving rise to an obvious “lip-sync” issue. This made the production painfully unwatchable. After 30 mins the streaming was stopped and restarted to try and solve the problem. This ruined any remaining atmosphere in the auditorium. The attempt failed. There was then a second attempt 15 minutes later which succeeded but by this time the audience experience was destroyed.
I discussed with my party if we should leave early and request a refund but as it was my daughter’s birthday and she had been looking forward to the play she decided to stay.
Following the screening I approached the general manager to make a complaint. He was dishevelled, inattentive, avoided eye contact and seemed unable to articulate himself clearly.
Quite frankly I wondered if he was in fact the toilet cleaner who had been put up as a stooge to absorb the customer complaints that must have been anticipated.
I voiced my complaint firmly and politely and explained that the poor experience had ruined my daughter’s birthday.
The manager didn’t seem to care, didn’t apologise, didn’t commit to take any action to improve things in the future and refused to offer any form of compensation or refund.
In fact he said it was Vue policy not to offer refunds.
He sloped off before the conversation was complete. Despite a growing gathering of dissatisfied customers following the screening.
On request from others he failed to provide any clear contact details for Vue customer services or the complaints point of contact. And abdicated any responsibility or accountability for the issue blaming “the other end” of the streaming service.
It seems to me that the Vue policy is in breach of UK consumer law since refunds are due when the product or service is demonstrably defective, which in this case it was.
Vue charge premium prices but deliver a poor, disfunctional service. They employ staff who lack the basic competence to address any customer concerns that may arise.
I strongly recommend avoiding Vue cinemas.
Northampton : Parking issue : Wont be back
Since Cineworld closed in Northampton, i visited Vue Sol Central Northampton last Sunday afternoon. Car park empty.. cinema itself empty. Today, ive received a parking fine for £60. I had followed the parking instructions to enter your vehicle registration but you are not given any receipt (so i have no proof). I wont be back and will swap to Odeon instead!
Failed service and remediation
As others have documented, unable to use Sky vouchers and left with no alternative than to pay…similarly Vue not offering any compensation for their error…which, unhelpfully was not documented on website…which would have helped with the decision to travel to the venue. All round lack of accountability for failure of service.
Extremely poor customer service
Vue had a technical issue accepting codes... Had to pay full price and they won't exercise any discretion by refunding the original booking. Disgraceful!
Vue Exeter, The Roses
My son and I both tried to book the day before several times using the 2 for 1 Meerkat movies code, said error code try later. Gave up and just went 20 mins before show to book tickets. 3 staff 2 people in front. Took 15 mins to be served. Not able to book seats as systems down, couldn't tell us if there were any spare seats, couldnt scan the meercat code. Said we could go in and sit on any spare seat but would have to move if someone said tbey had booked the seats. Charged us for one lowest price seat👍 Sat on the seats that were not showing as booked on our mobiles. Didn't have to move. Sound was deafening throughout trailers but OK during film. Lift not working. Looked like there had been a water leak all over the downstairs carpet, dehumidifiers all around, hope it wasn't the toilets😩. Seat was comfortable. FIX THINGS VUE!
Pants website
Pants website, pants customer service, pants app pants pants pants pants!
Even the staff are Absolutely PANTS. Me and my partner have been trying to use our VALID vouchers for the pants... I mean past 2 days and it doesn't work. Can't even get through to customer service.
Just entered Vue Leicester Square…
Just entered Vue Leicester Square London. Standing like a lemon waiting to get served. One guy beside me getting served, three staff at the till not bothering. Dear Mr Vue MD - if my team dealt with the public like that they would be sent for re-training and moved back of house. Fortunately it’s a trip down from Glasgow for me, be glad to get back to my Odeon where their priority is customer first.
Vue Castleford
Went to the new Vue at Castleford tonight to see the new Fantastic 4 film with my parents, and it was pretty good! We were sat in the new EPIC screen (screen 7), and just before the film started, a member of staff came in to welcome us to the new cinema and screen! One slight niggle though, and that is that we ordered a large Pepsi Max, yet the lids provided didn't fit the drink! Will defo go again, especially as we get two free tickets per month via Sky!
Popcorn was fresh but the seats were…
Popcorn was fresh but the seats were ripped and uncomfortable. Could do with a bit of love, especially for the price of tickets/snacks!
