We bought our new house at Waterside Meadows and moved in Dec 2026. It was a long process due to our buyers having issues selling their house. However, Michael (sales) did everything he could to ensure we got our dream home in the end.
At first we were sceptical about buying a new build after hearing of all the horror stories, but we can honestly say this is the best decision we’ve made.
The build of the house was fantastic. The snagging list inside the property was reasonable with no major issues. Kieran (site manager) got started with the snagging straight away and has managed to sort out most issues and responds straight away.
The grass outside the front and side of the house has been ruined by a contractor, but we’re in the process of wain homes sorting this out, once completed it will look great.
I would recommend wain homes to anyone looking at buying a new build house.

We have built up a fantastic relationship with Nickie and Rich and trust them implicitly. They have been part of our journey and they go above and beyond to help. They both provide not only exceptional customer service, but empathy; something I believe has been lost in most avenues today.

Build quality is fantastic!! The shining lights to our experience were George (sales rep)and Shingi (site manager) who made our first visit, to the sign off to customer care fantastic.
Shingi was extremely accommodating when it came to fixing snags, I had to book time off work for it to all be done in one week and this was not a problem for him. Shingi made sure all the work was completed and to a great standard. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

We moved in to our new home 5 weeks ago on the Mead Fields development and couldn’t have asked for a better team! Caroline has been amazing from the beginning, very helpful and supportive throughout our complicated chain and still showing the same level of care now. Our site manager, Curtis has also been great since completion, sorting the (very few and minor) snags quick and efficiently, nothing has been too much trouble for either of them. This is our second new build purchase (first time with Wain Homes) and the quality and care is far better here.

Been being told that the streetlights would be sorted for over a year and a half!
Apparently a report and fix will be “within two weeks” since July 2024!
Until they sort it out then highways won’t take over so we are at the mercy of this incompetence

We have been in our HOME at Rectory Woods for 5 months and our experience with Wain Homes over the past year has been exceptional.
We started our journey with Wain Homes in early 2025 meeting Suzanne (Sales Exec), she took the time explain how buying a new build works and answered the questions we had.
In Feb 2025 we reserved our new home which was at foundation level.
As there were no Jenner properties available on the Rectory Woods site for us to view, Suzanne arranged for us to visit another local development to allow us to view completed house.
In April 2025 Suzanne introduced us to Richard (Site Manager) where they both took us through what would happen in detail and answered more questions from us.
In the middle of the year Claire took over from Suzanne and Sean took over from Richard but nothing changed for us the service we received continued to be first class.
We would visit the site every week to see how the build was going (as we could see our new home through the site gates) and this would leave to more questions which Claire & Sean would always answer.
During the summer 2025 we met Ian (Assistant Site Manager) who like the rest of the team if we had a question or query he would answer it for us an he also took the time to explain what was going on around the whole site.
In summer / early autumn 2025 we had meetings with Claire to review and agree extras, we never felt rushed and Claire always took the time to walk through the options in detail so we could make the right selection for us.
In Winter everybody worked extremely hard to get the house ready and CML completed which allowed us to move into our new HOME in November 2025.
Due to us being on holiday just before our completion date Sean / Claire were flexible around our house demo and completed a few days after we moved in
Once we moved in “Google” the site Telehandler arrived with the mini skip to help us remove the mountain of cardboard and packaging that comes with moving house.
Ian visited us few weeks after moving in and completed the snagging review, he took our list, advised on what the next steps would be, with all of the items being resolved quickly (some of which were resolved the same day).
In Jan 2026 Dan took over from Ian, and in Feb 2026 Alex took over from Dan, as with all the Wain Homes staff we have encountered they will always stop and talk to you and answer any questions you may have.
The whole Rectory Woods Team currently led by Sean have been amazing, always being available, extremely professional and friendly.
After the site snagging list was completed and signed off we were handed over to Wain Homes Customer Care, the level of service has remained same with any queries we raise being handed and resolved in professional manner by Jon & Ciara.
Everyone we have dealt with from Wain Homes has always been very professional, open and honest. We cannot recommend Wain Homes highly enough they are customer focused and deliver results.

Went above an beyond to make our moving in experience perfect.

UPDATE - as usual just being ignored………..Our first time buying with Wainhomes and we’ve been let down by them massively so will be our last.
They stopped a retaining wall half way shorter than should have done and went with a batter option instead. This was not on our plans that was drew up when we signed, As per the NHBC report we had done regarding this matter this was probably done to save money. THEY (Wainhomes) then decided to replace our wooden fence with concrete fence posts and bottom concrete slabs but didn’t change the support of the retainer to accommodate. also which the NHBC reports states was the wrong size posts was used aswell anyway so was a disaster waiting to happen. Now the land has give way and the full side of the fence and slabs in the garden are falling. Which I might add is extremely dangerous as children play in the gardens that are below so I dread to think what could happen when it fully collapses. But Wainhomes don’t care at all they just wiped their hands with it said it’s not their problem and now just ignore us. We have had to get a solicitor involved, it’s been hell for us.

Very poor service and customer care service, the garden wall have big cracks and was removed by Wain Homes since Sep, 2025, after that, no one has replied when can repair for me. Have sent email to customer service, the reply was “Site manager and repairing team do not have confirm date to repair”……
There are some broken into the garden, garage cases in the residential area and without the garden boundary wall, I really feel unsafe. I have send email to the site manager but no reply as usual. I have sent a formal complaint email to the customer service again on 22/1/2026, they said formal pathway to resolution will be provided to me within 10 working days.
I have sent email to the customer team again on 23/2/2026, they have replied me this time but still saying “ The current information I have is that there have been discussions with the Engineers, Bricklaying and groundwork teams but have not received anything further to advise when works will be carried out. I have today forwarded your latest email to the Contracts Managers and Build Teams asking for some further information to provide you”
“Really great service”, can’t repair the wall for more than 6 months after taken off, “Good job Wain Homes”

Moving into our new home with Wain Homes has been a great experience from start to finish. The whole process was smooth, well-organised, and far less stressful than we expected. Claire was incredibly helpful and kept us informed at every stage, always happy to answer questions and make sure everything was progressing as planned.
When we got the keys, we were really impressed with the quality of the build and the attention to detail throughout the house. Any snags (minor) were resolved straight away by the site team Shaun & Alex who have also been fantastic during this process.
Overall, we’re absolutely delighted with our new home and would definitely recommend Wain Homes to anyone looking for a high-quality new build.

We moved into our house (Rectory woods) around 5 weeks ago and are really enjoying our new house. There was obviously bits of snagging which comes with the territory, but the site managers Sean and Alex and sales manager Claire have gone above and beyond to ensure timely fixing/repair/touch ups have happened. They have made time to answer all our questions and guided us with advice about any future issues. Moreover, they just seem really decent people and their customer service skills are fantastic.

Still no wheel wash on site at Farriers Chase in Clayton-Le-Woods. I am informed that planning permission was granted on the basis of this being on site. Roads covered in mud every day this week so far. Even got to the point where the Speaker of the House of Commons is contacting Wain Homes over the issue. Absolute shambles of a company who previously told me took their responsibilities to the local community seriously.
DO THE RIGHT THING PLEASE AND STOP COVERING THE ESTATE IN MUD.
**This is not the first time I have had to contact Wain Homes about this issue. In fact it seems you are only taking the matter seriously due to Planning Enforcement from Chorley Council getting involved.
