We recently purchased our new home on Shropshire Heights. We can't thank the team at Wain homes enough for our dream home. From the day we made our first enquiry Anita was absolutely great. We received regular updates and any questions we had were answered. From the day we moved in Rob the site manager has been fantastic. We have had a really professional , positive and friendly experience with Wain Homes.
From initially visiting site, to reserving out plot and eventually moving into our new home, it has been an enjoyable journey. At times it was frustrating and stressful, buying a house is, but The Wain Homes Team at Molbrook South Molton were always there from start to finish. Whether it was confirming stages or requiring information there would always be prompt email or phone calls, and response times from the team. From front sales staff to office staff and on site teams any worries, queries or questions were always answered and explained.
A few people we wanted to thank along our journey, Karen, and Gloria in sales office at Molbrook, both patient, professional and friendly, and always able to answer questions. Nick B at Molbrook, for always being willing to sort out any problems or address any questions regarding anything , his commitment is admirable.
Will for all his help before he moved to his new site. Joe and James new site management team, that are working so hard to address any issues and get everything on track. Sarah H for having such patience and for believing in us , and working with the team tirelessly to get us in our new home. We bought 5 years ago in Preston, the Paddocks.
The shower from the main bathroom has been leaking down into the kitchen for some time but we didn’t know.
A tile had fallen off from the shower wall in the bathroom and lots of black mould has been found behind it.
The tiles have been fitted incorrectly on normal untreated plaster board apposed to Hardiebacker/waterproof plaster board and has caused damage into my son's bedroom next to the bathroom. (The bedroom has smelt of mould for over a year, and we couldn't pin point it, although it is clearly this now-measuring 45% on an electric damp meter through the wall which is very concerning to my sons health).
There is also a massive gap from the plasterboard to the shower tray at the bottom which shouldn't be there (which the tiles just covered over).
We’ve let quite a few snags go, such as underlay to carpets just being sparsely laid in chunks with massive gaps, but the plasterboard/tile issue is really bad workmanship, causing issues to my sons health and damage into other rooms not just the bathroom.
There’s no way to check this when you move in (or within the 2 year warranty) you just have to trust the quality of the builder, which I won’t be doing ever again.
I appreciate there is only a 2 year warranty on the houses, but this poor workmanship wouldn’t come to light until after 2 years.
I requested someone from Wainhomes comes to rectify this issue asap, before it causes more damage to the house and my sons room/ health, for Wainhomes to reply ‘it’s out of warranty’.
I contacted NHBC who said they won’t cover it because it is down to poor workmanship from Wainhomes, which I can’t dispute.

Once again customer service has been great. After speaking with Deb she arranged a visit within days for a repair.
This was carried out by Mike who not only sorted the plaster issue but the shower holder as well.

Excellent, prompt, response to a query relating to ceramics in a Wain home I’m buying. My seller isn’t first occupants but Jon at Wain Homes was able to locate the file and advise on original tile selection so I can replace some damages.

We couldn’t be happier with our new home at the Meadfields development in Banwell and the whole experience from start to finish. Caroline in particular has been absolutely incredible every step of the way – she went above and beyond to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible, always available to help and keeping us updated throughout. Her professionalism and genuine care really made all the difference. You could genuinely tell she was just as thrilled for us as we were, which made the whole journey even more special.
The site team have also been fantastic. We’re almost three weeks in now and they’ve already been round to sort out the very minimal snags we had, which were handled quickly and efficiently. The standard of finish on our home is extremely high and we’ve been so impressed with the quality throughout, as have all of our friends and family. Now my sister is considering a plot on the same development!
On a personal note, we had just welcomed our newborn when we moved in, and thanks to Caroline and the team the process was so seamless that we managed to settle into our new home just a week after he arrived. We’re so grateful for the support and couldn’t recommend Caroline and the team highly enough.

Brought a house on the mead fields development and as a first time buyer we went into it with 0 knowledge.
From the moment of enquiry, we felt at ease and informed at every step of the way.
A big shout out to the site teams, the house is absolutely immaculate and any snags reported are sorted within a few days. Curtis and Ryan are helpful, kind and give you the time of day even though they are busy. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The site areas are always kept clean, the teams always make way for you and all of them say hello if they see you.
Caroline in sales has been so helpful, proactive and genuinely cares about us. She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to help where she can.
We went to a few builders before wain, and wain stand out by far than the rest. The quality of houses are impeccable and the staff really make the experience an enjoyable one.
Would recommend 1000%.

The standard of home produced has been incredible so far. We were a bit cautious about a new build from all the horror stories of the past but with the standard of home Wain Homes are producing it just made sense. Extremely energy efficient with a rating of 94 and the very nicely decorated interiors which with every other company we looked at cost a fortune it was all included in the purchase price of our home.
The aftercare has also been impeccable with our sales advisor Darron checking in making sure that everything is going smoothly and our site manager Andy being only a phone call away and always happy to help in any way he can.
All in all i would 100% recommend not only Wain Homes but the Horizon site itself.

I can hand on heart say that the team at Kingsley Manor have been exceptional. From first meeting Ashley in the sales team, and listening to his advice when it came to being a first time buyer, to exchange and after care, I have only had the highest praise for the team.
Special mention to Chris and his post-sale care, sorting out the few snags I had quickly and thoroughly, going above and beyond what was expected to make sure everything has been left perfect for my family and I - including rectifying a design flaw I didn’t like within the house!
