Returns a Costly Pain

Shoes are always chancy to order online due to variations in sizing. First my VPN was warning me about the lack of a secure internet connection, but thinking of WOC as a legit company from shopping in their stores, and unable to find the same boots elsewhere, I went ahead. Unfortunately I had to return them, and the return process meant waiting for "authorization", no label was provided, and I had to pay 17.00 to send the package (heavy boots) within the same city. I hope my refund is honoured but this is not typical of current return practices and I won't use them again.

NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS!

I ordered a pair of shoes on the website for 'Walking on a Cloud' and I am truly NOT pleased. The shoes were delivered after days of ordering them. I opened the package, tried them on walked around on the carpet in front of my desk for ~2 minutes and discovered immediately that my heel was slipping out of the shoe. I then emailed the company, and proceeded to send the package back at my expense. Then, they sent me an email and informed me that "We are currently reviewing the return to ensure the condition of the packaging aligns with our return policy". A few days later, I received another email, with a picture of the shoes with scuff marks on the toe stating "Please send us a return label for your package so we can ship it back to you." I was flabbergasted that they now want me to pay again to ship them back and they don't even fit me!

I can honestly say that someone at the company tampered with the shoe because they were out of the box no longer than 5 minutes and all I did was walk in a few circles, on carpet, and then placed them nicely into the box and sent them back.

I have read a lot of negative feedback about this company and I feel that they need to be held accountable for scamming people. It’s very sad that I, along with many other consumers, am a victim of their scams.

In knowing for certain that I did not ruin these shoes, I will be taking the next step in contacting the media and Marketplace to take this step forward so that their company will be accountable for lying to customers and falsely accusing them of wearing the shoes shoes and sending them back in used condition.

I have dealt with your Yonge st

I have dealt with your Yonge st. store before with the same sales lady. She is super nice with a great personality. She knows her business - backwards and answers all questions about what kind of shoes you want - styles - etc etc. She tried on about 7 - 8 pair for me. I finally settled on one - as i wear orthotics and have bad feet. They fit like a glove with the orthotics. I dont know what people would be so rude to say things they did on hear. There are not many shoe stores in the City that have staff that even know how to sell shoes or let alone answer your questions. I have been to many as i have a problem with small sizes for a man. The store is neat - clean - fast service - questions answered quickly and in detail. I or my spouse never had a problem in that store. The people who were rude should simply stay away from this store - and yell at others in another store. Frank Deturse

Define normal wear and tear

On January 21, my wife bought a pair of shoes at your Hillcrest store
As it was winter, she only wore them around the house to break them in.
A few weeks ago, she wore them outside, and immediately after noticing they were scuffed in the toe, the colour was gone.
We took them back to the store, and they said we should just apply shoe polish. We did so, but that lasted one day, so we went back to the store.
The manager sent a photo of the shoes, but we have been told that they will do nothing to help us out.
We do understand normal wear and tear, but new shoes should not lose their colour after being worn once.
In the end, we took the shoes to a shoe repair shop that applied dye and polish. The shoes look fantastic.

Returns are very difficult to make

They encourage you to buy their shoes or boots or sandals, but when it comes to returns they suddenly find problems with the product that do not appear. I have spent thousands at that store, but no longer. I am very disappointed. 😡

Evil saleswoman

At the Yonge location, a Hungarian blonde woman served me. She was rude, and hostile. She looked at my ordering history when I checked out and said " I see you've made many returns in the past " Why was that her business? I felt like I was dealing with a Nazi guard. Beware the small blonde woman at the Yonge and Sherwood location!

Horrible!!Honestly I would have selected no stars!! Absolutely horrible customer service store level. Sold me unmatched pair of shoes with different widths and wouldn’t replace them because I wore it once out. Didn’t realize it when in the store. A 250$ shoe. Please buy your shoes elsewhere. I definitely will never shop here again. Upper Canada mall in Newmarket Ontario you absolutely suck!!!

Terrible website, waste so much time I just leave

The website is incredibly difficult to navigate, and it's almost impossible to find what you're looking for. For example, if I'm searching for shoes in size 5, I have to know to search the UK equivalent, the European size, and the brand-specific size variations—each with its own options for narrow, wide, or regular fits. There's no consistent filtering system. What if I want winter boots that are temperature rated, waterproof shoes or wide-calf boots? The lack of targeted filters forces me to conduct overly broad searches, which eventually makes me abandon the site altogether.

I shouldn’t have to sift through 25 pages just because basic filtering is unavailable. And don’t get me started on color options. They list every possible variation provided by the manufacturer in stead of grouping common colours together. If I want black shoes, I have to select from Black, BLack, BLACK, Black Grey, Black Nylon, Black Patent, Black Red, Black Multi—just to name a few! It's overwhelming to select all possible black variations to get the right result. Plus, there are often only a handful of shoes in each category, and every selection refreshes the page, wasting even more time.

This site is a nightmare to use. It desperately needs an overhaul and a dedicated eCommerce manager to fix these issues. Optimize for eCommerce guys.

2024 July Walking On A Cloud Shoes

2024 July Walking On A Cloud North York, Ontario online order review. First I would like to say I am so sorry for those who seem to have received poor service from this company. My experience is the exact opposite. They were extemely responsive and helpful in replying to all of my emails, providing quick, efficient delivery of the shoes I purchased. The shoes are Kara Galilei Bordeaux Perforated Leather Mary Jane Shoes. So far, limited testing, I love them. They are true to size and extremely comfortable. Will know more over the coming months.

I have NEVER experienced a company that is this horrible to deal with! You won't even get any help from the owners of the company! BUYER BEWARE! Do yourself and your loved ones a favour and buy your shoes elsewhere! Will NEVER Shop here again!!!

Earth Brand Everglade Boots

I bought a black pair of Earth brand Everglade boots in a size 10 wide as was advertised, I was sent medium width. I can't even begin to get my foot in the boot. The boot fits like it's several sizes smaller than what it claims. It is a very, very small fit. I will never do business again with Earth brand or Walking On A Cloud. Can't even return them to a local store.

Avoid buying from this website

Very iffy online company. They charged me for right away for two pairs of sandals that they did not even have in stock. The payment was charged on May 19th, on June 13th I received one pair (even though I ordered two pairs). No one has ever communicated from Walking On A Cloud that I would NOT be receiving the full order. Charging a customer for goods and services that can't be processed/ provided or shipped right away is a direct violation of the VISA Merchant rules and regulations which the merchant must accept when they accept VISA cards for payment! I would not recommend that you do business with these clowns. There are much better options to spend your hard earned money at.
