Have been using the site for a little over a year now. It’s honestly amazing how much valuable information I’ve been able to glean from the site and it’s users for free. It has helped me get my career on the right track with actionable advice, and provided tons of laughs and entertainment as well. Love the community.

Unique and very active community with people from different backgrounds, chatting about finance and non-finance related topics. Probably spent way too much on it but certainly supported me to get a job at a bulge bracket investment bank. Can only recommend.

Best resource for commercial real estate found online. Community has been extremely helpful for learning more about options for breaking into CRE and has been one of my main resources when figuring out my path and how to break into a closed industry.

Would recommend additional verification and moderation for other forums. RE forum is one of the best communities; other forums can be hit or miss and do not have the level of professionalism/expertise with less verified members.

WSO is a great forum to familiarize yourself with the competitive landscape in PE and investment banking. The anonymity allows for a "no holds barred" exchange of insider perspectives that is both helpful and extremely entertaining.

The forum helped when I was recruiting. I would say that there are two flaws with the platform:

1. Little verification for posters, so someone claiming to be an associate could be a college student
2. Hard to sift through past posts, search bar functionality is low

Nonetheless, as I am in the industry now, I do return for a laugh sometimes and no longer rely on WSO for advice/help. Great experience and forum overall.

Fantastic site for keeping up with all things investment banking recruitment. Being able to connect with other users as I went through the interview process was instrumental to me getting my offer. Also, an amazing resource for knowing what’s happening across the Street at other banks - keeping every bank in line with Street standards!

Very useful platform for people joining various industries as well as a place for more experienced members to share thoughts, opinions and advice. I strongly recommend this tight-knit community for anyone trying to break into finance or consulting. It can really be a game changer for your career.

WSO has been the go-to forum and platform for finance professionals and the like. The threads and forums have been engaging, informative, and entertaining for the most part. WSO has also provided many important sources for interview preps, company database information, networking and interview opportunities. Looking to contribute further to the large WSO community that has grown exponentially throughout the years.

Great resource for newcomers to finance or those looking to break into industry; definitely gave me a lot of information regarding interview prep. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their foot in the door of a big wall street firm, or even just those who want to learn more about the finance industry.

There is great education and conversation on the site. I think there are a few opportunities with regards to consulting in Bulge Banks, but all in all, I would never complain; because I think WSO serves many people who would not have access to this information any other way. Are the finance guys a little extra on the boards maybe, but that's what makes the whole site entertaining. Some of the training sites cost is really high for my taste, but you've got to invest in yourself.

Wall Street Oasis was an excellent resource for me as a young analyst at a top 4 bank here in the USA. I learned about bank culture, the hierarchy, what the different roles are in investment banking, private equity, and sales and trading, and much more. The experienced bankers that weighed in on posts offered immense value in my opinion, and the humerous articles offered entertainment during my lunch breaks. The company database offered good insight on different banks from the perspective of insiders that helped me decide which employers I wanted to apply at. The financial modeling course is second to none in my opinion. My bank hired Training The Street to come in and teach us, but I view Wall Street Oasis material as more comprehensive and easier to understand. The interview prep was also a great resource.

I wrote for WSO through an internship program and rhen briefly as a paid writer. The experience was excellent. Not only did I learn a lot from writing for them, but getting engaged in the community was really awesome. I also had a chance to speak with the owners of WSO a few times, and it was always a pleasure. Always felt welcomed and appreciated, even when my writing was controversial.

I've really come to enjoy the community you have built at WSO. I wish I had discovered you all sooner! I didn't come across the site until the depths of the pandemic, but since I have, I've upped my "networking" and picked up countless other tips shared by generous members of the community. I only hope I can someday be in a position to contribute something meaningful to the life or career of a more youthful WSO participant.
