What a lovely company to deal with!
What a lovely company to deal with! I've used Vintage CashCow in the past, which was a very faceless, uninspiring experience. Was Gathering Dust were so kind about my inherited collection of medals, which I had doubts about their value, and made me a really good offer. Angela called to let me know they would pay the money into my bank account, which they did the same day, no messing around. If you are interested in a good price for your items, and one to one communication, then go for it! I'm going to have a hunt round now to see what else I can find!

Other than being delighted by the offer made (and gratefully accepted!) this morning, the process of getting to this point was simplicity in itself!
The explanatory letter and ultra-easy to understand accompanying brochure just made light of difficulties encountered when approaching other online companies offering a compatible service. Indeed the only difficulty was deciding what should or shouldn't go into the box!
100% Happy with the outcome and highly recommend 'Was Gathering Dust' to anyone looking to part with unwanted/unloved items lurking in drawers (you'd be surprised at what you find once you start looking!).

From the first moment I phoned them everyone was really helpful and they were vey quick with sending me out the details and again when the goods were received the offer was in their time line. Tremendous Service
My Mum passed away in November, and with heavy hearts my Dad and me went through the process of looking at her jewellery. We both found it difficult but, realised things would only sit there.
Having read the reviews for Was Gathering Dust, and viewing it as someone trying to find their place in a busy market, I decided to give them a chance.
Everything they initially sent out was well put together and gave me faith that they were worth sending things to.
I got a call from Jacque a few days later, and she explained what had been received and made a very fair offer. I explained I needed to discuss with my Dad first. Absolutely no pressure, Jacque could not have been nicer.
I called back later that day and accepted the offer. I asked Jacque about some old coins my Dad had, and again she was excellent in talking me through their process, and is sending me out another pack.
I was rather cynical about using a company like this, on account of bad experiences friends have had from competitors, but all in all I couldn’t be happier with the end to end service.
Jacque Was a very chatty, upbeat person which might not seem a huge deal but in the circumstances something I was grateful for.
Tremendous company.
