First aid for mental health

Really good course content delivered in a fun yet serious manner. Alan was down to earth, spoke openly and you could tell he had first had experience. This made for a better course delivery in my opinion.

The training was at times challenging at times with some of the content. The role play area was ok but an example of how to ask certain questions from the trainer would have been good. The training felt a little stretched at times and could have been cut down and an overview of local referral agencies might have been a good idea.

I enjoyed this experience. I already had some knowledge of mental health issues and the impact that it has on people’s lives. However this course made me think about how I view it. Remembering that not everyone thinks the same way. Allan was a great teacher and very engaging.

Mental health first aid supervisor training- Learnt a lot from Alan who dealt with a sensitive topic in a respectful and appropriate manner. Was interactive and thought provoking and feel more confident leaving the training.

A really worthwhile 2 day course giving a great insight into the causes of poor mental health and the stigma faced by those who face these issues.

I enjoyed this course, ot confirmed to me that I already had a good knowledge in this are.

It also made me realise that I have at times put people in boxes unintentionally and I am now more aware of this.

Allan was a very a good instructor in getting points across.

Good practical demonstrations were shown which would give you the confidence to act in an emergency.

Was very well organised, with some good practical experience added.

Just finished 3 day first aid at work course,our trainer allan was very experienced and informative,lots of on hands practical work,covered all emergencies and how to deal with them as a first aider.i recommend this course it's a must have.

Done a first aid at work course with wayymarktraining, Allan was very good at training,passing on his valuable skills and knowledge. Although a work course,I will take home theses skill which I’m sure will benefit me in the future.

I recently renewed my Outdoor First Aid certification with Wayymark Training, and it was the best First Aid course I have done without a doubt (I have done several EFAW and OFA courses previously).

Allan delivered the course exceptionally well, the content was made very clear with justification and real world examples wherever possible. Cannot express enough the importance of learning from a professional with over 30 years emergency service and first aid experience, like Allan.

I will be completing all future first aid certification and renewals with Allan at Wayymark Training, and also will be recommending to all organisations/instructors I work with/alongside.

The training was extremely reassuring and gave me full confidence in first aid. We were kept engaged throughout with stories and questions to keep our brains active and Allan completely included everyone and made it a very comfortable environment
