VERY NEGATIVE REVIEW

I contacted this company to inspect and diagnose issues at my property, as I was experiencing water entering the building. My concern was to identify the actual cause of the problem.

After an initial inspection, I was told the issue was condensation and was sold a condensation unit, for which I paid a £600 deposit.

When their electrician attended to install the unit, he inspected the property and clearly stated that the condensation unit would NOT resolve the problem. He advised that the main issue was water ingress through the external wall and chimney, and that external works such as chimney capping and wall treatment were required. No work was carried out.

Further inspections by their own staff later confirmed the same conclusion — that the condensation unit alone was not fit for purpose and would not fix the actual issue.

Despite this being identified by their own representatives, the company has since attempted to:

Reframe the problem as condensation

Impose a 20% cancellation fee, even though no work or installation took place

Delay the refund by requesting further inspections and imposing conditions

I cancelled only after their own staff confirmed that the solution sold to me was unsuitable. Any delay was caused entirely by the company’s reassessments, not by me.

I am still awaiting a full refund for a service that was mis-sold and never provided. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious and to seek independent advice before paying any deposit.

Poor Company

A salesman from Weatherdry visited, and what followed was nothing short of a pressure sales tactic. He was a salesman as he confirmed this, not a damp proof technician who had casually waved around a damp meter, confirmed what I had already told him rising damp.
Without giving any real diagnosis, flipped the question on me:
"What do you believe it would cost?"
The number was then conveniently used it to set an inflated price. Classic bait-and-switch tactic. No real expertise, just manipulation.

The job was supposed to involve removing 600mm of plaster. Proper damp treatment requires removing at least 1200mm of plaster to actually be effective, ask other professionals.

The work they proposed was not a solution just a cosmetic patch job with a big price tag. I would’ve been left out of pocket and still stuck with damp issues.

Weatherdry’s "solution" was incomplete, overpriced, and deceptive. Don’t fall for it.

Great after-sales experience

5 years after having some work done by this company, I needed some further information about the work done. My request through the portal generated a very prompt call from the Sales Manager Lorna Fripp. Having clarified what I needed, Lorna found the original paperwork and sent me what I needed immediately. Brilliant no-nonsense after-sales service 5 years on, for which I was very grateful.

AVOID And Save Money!!!

AVOID And Save Money!!!
The sales man came and did basic checks with a damp meter.
He then diagnosed it as rising damp which I already mentioned…
He then asked me my thoughts on the cost? So that when I gave a figure he used that as a mark up to lean towards, but still overcharge.
Do your research and ask around before agreeing on any work.

They claim you get a one off offer on the day to push you to pay as part of their sales tactics.

THE MORE SHOCKING BIT.
The work specified was also to take of 600mm plaster, apply DPC and then replaster.

However the work should be around 1200mm plaster taken off, DPC and replastering. Look around for this information.

The work stated by weatherdry would therefore basically resolve nothing.
Weatherdry were looking to extort money and cut corners.

Excellent service from all the team

Excellent service from all the team, both internally and also externally within the business. Communication was thorough and knew exactly what was happening. Sam and Trin have been amazing in carrying out the work on my property whilst also being respectful of my neighbours and inside my property. 110% recommend.
