Wetherspoons - Newton Abbot, Devon Went with friends for dinner, arriving around 1600. The place soon filled up. The noise was awful, with people shouting at one another, and children running... See more

Ramsgate Royal Victoria Pavilion
We travel around in our Motorhome and look out for a Weatherspoons wherever we are. This one is extremely large which may explain the food quality as it appears not to be made to order. We both ordered Fish and Chips and the order arrived 6 minutes after ordering, I timed it on my app. The fish must be fried sitting waiting on heat lamps as it was soggy, cold and limp. It appears as if food is bulk cooked. Worst meal we have ever had in a Weatherspoons. We watched female staff member wonder around with a Pizza for must have been 10 minutes then served it to a table near us and she was suprised when the lady said it was cold.
We would not return to this Weatherspoons, terrible food
The King of Wessex Bath;
I would like to thank the Manager of the King of Wessex (Bath) for is thought and consideration on a very busy night (Euro Final Night)
I have awarded 5 Stars for the way all the Staff pulled together to make this Night a special Night.
Thank You.
Being told to leave because of a dog
I was taking my baby dog for a walk when I was passing the whiffler weather spoons on mile cross road Norwich and the out door seating area was very empty only one other table in use so I sat a distance away from them so not too disturb them and proceed to order my drink on app then to be told when it arrived that we do not allow dogs here I think that is quite stupid when all you see on the internet that weather spoons are closing pubs I think they need to rethink there laws

Good food and reasonably priced
I go to panniers Weatherspoon in Barnstaple a lot and the food is great and the staff are very friendly.
Finished with spoons for food
Finished with spoons for food, it's like a training ground for bad chefs, tonight's overcooked fish and bland chips has been repeated so much that even I'm giving it a miss. Reasonable price for drinks
Boring Ale Selection
Boring Ale Selection - Again!
Once again, the selection of available real ales at the Full House in Hemel Hempstead was nothing short of abysmal. What's the point of having potentially 10 hand pumps on the bar without a single dark strong ale? Once, in the past, Wetherspoons was the talisman for real ale drinkers, offering not just inexpensive real ale, but a variety unavailable anywhere on the high street. They can't blame the breweries that are clamouring for business opportunities, so why are we confronted with a seemingly neverending display of IPA, Citrus flavoured pale ales and multiple offerings from the same brewery? I have lost track of the occasions where an order has been placed on the App, yet the poor bar staff shamble to your table offering apologies that your order is unavailable! I noticed that the pale ales still occupy most of the pumps, yet the more flavoursome ales quickly disappear. If they sell well, why on earth aren't greater quantities ordered? My local in Hemel used to be one of the best Wetherspoons that I have used - now I think I shall spend the money elsewhere and avoid the almost daily disappointment. The Manageress took a temporary leave of absence last year and the decline was tangible. I expect staff turnover in this industry, but service like we receive at the moment also reflects on those who actually give a damn, which just compounds the issue. After all, why would you work unsociable hours for peanuts and have to face disgruntled customers when the parent company fails to provide adequate levels of service to their customers?
If Steph does not return, I see a bleak outlook for the Hemel Full House, until it closes like many of its counterparts.
Weatherspoons Northampton,very helpful…
Weatherspoons Northampton, very helpful pleasant staff, lots of beer/ale choices. Good atmosphere with great menu. A very lively pub well managed and well supported by locals. Good place to go for a night out with friends.
Great breakfast
I think a lot of the reviews are quite harsh. I love going to Weatherspoons for breakfast and always found the food nice and staff really friendly. Only downside is they sometimes don’t have decaf coffee so I always take my own just in case. My local is in Bridgnorth but I’ve visited the Bexhill one numerous times when visiting family and can’t fault it for the price.
The picture house stafford, ride and unprofessional staff
Food was okay and the prices were reasonable.
The staff were friendly except for the one barman.
My husband had asked for a dessert from the menu.
He was told to pick something from the bar and that his choice was unavailable.
He was rude and indignant and refused to take his alternative order.
Later in the evening I went to order drinks, this person took my ordered and while doing so was talking to a colleague and being disrespectful to my husband and his complaint.
When I confronted him he lied by accusing my husband of taking pictures of him and his colleague and threatened to throw us out!
We then followed up the complaint with the manager who made no effort to deal with the complaint.
I asked her to take my email so she could update me on my complaint and she refused.
We were dealt with rude unprofessional and arrogant staff.
We will be following this up to a satisfactory conclusion.

Discriminating against the disabled
. I went Weatherspoons in Norwich, I think it's called the Glass House, on entering this public house, I had a medical assistance Dog, I was told they had a no dog policy, I showed him the lead and it said Epileptic on it, he said OK, we ordered our drinks and food, when the same waiter came over and said guide dogs only, when I explained it was discrimination of a disabled person, he disagreed and said it was policy, so because I wasn't blind he discriminated against my disability and as good as called me a liar, I had come from Hythe Hampshire to stay with my husband with friends who live in Suffolk, and our friend took me to Norwich Cathedral, I was so upset the whole public house was watching, the Manager was hiding behind a wall she came out and was so rude her name was Claire but her and the nasty rude waiter gave us back our money and we left, by which time I was stressed, and on returning back to the car stressed and upset, I then had a seziour, I think this is a disgraceful company, with old and out dated policy, where so many people have mental and physical needs and have a helping dog, if I refused to serve someone because of creed or colour, I would be arrested, how is this discrimination any different, I felt belittled and shunned. I feel I needed to write this as if the manager had spoken to us with decency and dignity, instead of all her staff trying to talk to us, and my friend asking for the manager and her saying finally when coming out for us to leave
Went to weatherspoons carlisle today

Hednesford Cannock
Totally crap
I’ve never wrote a one star review
If I could have gave none I would have
Place filthy tables loaded with empty plate and dirty glasses food over the floor
I brought one drink at the bar, nothing like a true cocktail,
Then family joined me we ordered through the app food wait was 20 min, waitress come over to say the delay was 40 min it turned out to be 50 min wait for two pint a coke mini mix grill, onion rings and tub of ice cream
810 our food was due 827 it arrived
The food was tough but I was not going was to complain as I was starving having waited so long already
My false teeth nearly ripped out after the crunch munch stale chips some kinda Mediterranean salad I don’t know what was Mediterranean about dried cucumber and flack salad.
As we finished at 855 we were greeted by waitress who informed us while my child ate his ice cream that children had to leave by 9pm
There was no apologies for the delay in food or abrupt end to out dining.
Sadly I had to remind the waitress if we was delayed by them we would have already left the place that stunk of fish
Sadly this will be the last time we visit this crabby place.
It’s gone down hill terribly
The staff oblivious to customers service sadly not a personal attack more of management issue
You can’t blame what they are taught but this place is certainly NOT RECOMMENDED AND WONT BE REVISITED
Stayed at the Furness railway in barrow…
Stayed at the Furness railway in barrow in Furness while on a night shift at the local shipyard, the housekeeping staff made so much noise it was impossible to sleep, complained to reception, nothing changed, complained direct to housekeeping staff , very rude , never will I stay here again .

Poor customer service from management - The William Stead
EDIT:
18/03/24
I received an email reply from my complaint i made online that apologised for any inconvenience i might have had and that I should have spoke to the Duty Manager at the time about my issue and that the area manager would open an investigation.
I replied saying that my issue was with the Duty Manager did you even read my complaint?
EDIT 2:
19/03/24
the Kitchen Manager has phoned me, apologised, informed me again that there is an investigation going on and that he would like to offer me and my partner a free meal.
I decided to take my family out for a cheap and quick meal today 17.03.24 and quickly regretted my choice of venue.
We went to The William Stead in Darlington and proceeded to sit upstairs at it was noisy downstairs and my child has sensory issues. After deciding what we were going to eat I realised that the bar staff had left.
I went downstairs to order and was served by someone who said they were new so I handed them the basket I had made on the app and told her that she can copy off of there if it makes it easier for her. She said that would be a great help. The first item was a tomato pasta from the kids menu and she could not find it so asked for help from another member of staff. While he helped they told me that upstairs was closing and my family had to come back downstairs. That’s fair enough. Eventually she passed my phone back and said that she was done so I assumed that my order was correct as all she had to do was read from the list.
As for the drinks, they were all wrong including the alcohol free koppaburg i ordered turned out to be an alcoholic one which isn’t ideal when the person drinking it is 7 months pregnant.
Then the food came. We ordered 3 burgers and the pasta. One burger was missing its onion rings, another was missing the cheese and the other was missing all of its customisations. Not just those issues but i had been charged for an extra american cheeseburger. I let the server know of the issues and she went and got the duty manager.
This guy has terrible customer service as he was blaming me for the issues, he brought back a second lot of food that was also wrong and then the third time we managed to get it right but he charged me for the extras and missed the onion rings again. At this point i showed him the basket i had on the app again and said i’ve been charged over £40 for this food when in the app it says £36 for the lot.
The manager did not want to apologise for any inconvenience nor did he acknowledge that the staff made any mistakes and told me several times that it was my fault.
How hard is it to read a list? And how did someone with terrible customer service like that end up a manager? Who knows what’s going on in there.
I will not be returning there.
Went into Moon on the Hill Sutton the…
Went into Moon on the Hill Sutton the cashier took my money put it into the till then came back to me and said I have not given her enough money. She called the manager and he took her side (my first alcoholic drink in 10 days). The so called manager told me that all staff are trained to a high standard and I had to pay the short fall what the bar person had said otherwise it would be theft.
Just received an American burger meal…
Just received an American burger meal with a pint of leffe, the leffe was good as usual but I am extremely unhappy with the portion size and still extremely hungry! The meal would even be enough to satisfy a young child with low appetite!! Have posted this on Facebook, Instagram, X and group messaged this all over my WhatsApp!! Left here with already looking for something to eat and I only just finished the meal, all the staff could say is that they agree with me and that they are sorry!!! This is at the The Willow Walk branch in London Victoria…
During a visit to to the Bewdley one
During a visit to to the Bewdley one, I was left feeling extremely upset!
I was served by a lady I asked for the special meal and pointed to it on the menu she flipped the menu open and she literally went from 0 to 60 in less than 1 minute. My father was standing right next to me. She was abrupt with me I took it so I could place my order. The whole bar area went quite. I didn't know where to look. It was like she was on a huge high and someone was going to get the blunt end of what was going on in her mind, that person was me.
I continued to place my order and she flipped at me we couldn't believe our eyes. I was totally embarrassed and started to get slightly tearful!
She raised her voice and she was very loud just pointing out the meal deals. We couldn't understand what the hell was going on. She was pointing at the menu repeatedly and she looked so angry she shouted at me saying I know what your doing, I was in shock if I'm honest. I thought the best thing to do was to walk away so I did after placing my order. I did say to her I'm a really nice person you know and you have upset me she still continually was raising her voice and still going crazy we couldn't reason with her. I was with my family of 4 not one of us enjoyed our meal. We left feeling upset and absolutely shocked what had happened!
I wouldn't be able to return there as to be honest she scared me I could not wait to leave. I slept on it what happened yesterday and I'm still in shock and upset by the nature of this woman in my opinion she should not be working in a environment like this. I was thinking all kinds of stuff like if she was like it with someone who was drinking alcohol and it caused trouble if she was like it you know like saying the wrong thing or even looking at her wrongly. Weather spoons are meant to be a family pub. I don't know her name to be honest I was to intimidated to ask. It was Tues the 20th Feb 2024 at around 14.07 I ordered surely it must be on CCTV there.
