We understand your disappointment regarding the final offer, especially after recently installing a new battery. While basic maintenance like a battery replacement helps keep the vehicle running reliably, it does not significantly impact the resale value. Our appraisal process is designed to assess the overall condition of the vehicle, including both cosmetic and mechanical factors.
During our professional appraisal, we identified several issues that were beyond what we consider fair wear and tear for a vehicle of this age and mileage:
- Damaged seat
- Poor previous repairs on the bumper, door, and fender
Additionally, our OBD-II diagnostic report revealed the following faults:
- P0137 – O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
- P2097 – Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Bank 1
- P2270 – O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 2
These mechanical issues have a direct impact on the resale value and must be factored into the final offer. We also noted that no problems were disclosed during the online appraisal, which meant the initial valuation did not account for these concerns.

Everything was so easy
Everything was so easy! I arrived to my appointment and in 15 minutes I received their offer. Once we agreed on the price, they needed 10 more minutes to complete all the paperwork. And besides, Curtis gave me a voucher that gave me a free Uber ride back home. I highly recommend Curtis’ brunch.
