Our team came out to your home to buy it and then handled everything that followed, and a one star rating tells us they fell a long way short of the five star service we set out to provide on every appointment. We are sorry.
What you have described about those conversations is what I want to take first. Being talked over, or being told that the problem is yours, is not the standard we hold ourselves to and it is not something we accept from anyone on our team. We record all of our calls for quality and training purposes. Those conversations are being listened to by someone who was not part of them, and if that is how they went, we will deal with it.
On the check itself, our checks are issued by a nationally recognized financial institution, are backed by millions of dollars in cleared funds, and the funds are made available for immediate release to the depositing bank. We place no holds on that release, so where a delay happens it comes from the policies of the receiving bank rather than from us. That is little comfort when you are the one waiting, which is why our accounting team can speak to your bank directly, confirm the funds are sitting there and get them released to you. That is help you are entitled to and it is there for you now.
I have escalated all of this to the Area Manager responsible for our Cleveland team, who is looking at how you were dealt with and who has been trying to reach you directly. Making this right, and giving you the five star experience you should have had, is what we are committed to.

We buy any car was so helpful to me and my husband when we wanted to sell our Nissan Rogue and trade up to a newer model. I do recommend you make an appointment instead of just walking in. This will minimize the time you are waiting as appointments are priority. The whole process takes under an hour and the guys at we buy any car make it as easy as possible for you. We were helped by Josh and he was pleasant, helpful and really took care of us. He was able to get me a fair offer for my Nissan despite it being up there in age. I did not want to deal with private buyers or even worse the salesmen at dealerships, and I am glad I didn't because this method of selling my car was easy, convenient, and fair. I would recommend going to we buy any car because they seem honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I even left something behind in the car and Josh was kind enough to call me a few days later and let me know he would put it aside for me to pick up. I really appreciated that. Josh you are a class act, and I will recommend you to anyone I can! Thank you for all of your help!

I think a little more effort would have been great. I think you treat women is stupid and ignored everything I said and you also parked too close to my car and didn’t even take it for a test drive. I drove at half an hour before and the car had no issues, but no one believed me.

The allegation that our team treated you differently because you are a woman is one we take incredibly seriously, and we want to address it head-on. Based on what we've been able to find, we don't have evidence that supports the claim that you were treated differently because of who you are. We want to be clear that "we didn't find supporting evidence" is not the same as "your experience didn't happen the way it felt to you" — how an interaction lands with the customer is its own measure, and on that measure something didn't work in our favor at your appointment.

On the test drive: at the time of your appointment, our team documented that the vehicle would not move into reverse or drive. Because of that, a test drive was not something we were able to safely complete. The non-running condition, along with rust on multiple panels, additional cosmetic damage, and structural concerns identified during the in-person inspection, all factored into the final offer. We invite all customers to join the appraisal process so they can see what we see and understand how a vehicle's condition affects its valuation, and the team should have walked you through these findings in a way that left you feeling informed rather than dismissed.

Took about 2 hours and I walked out…
Took about 2 hours and I walked out with a check for the same amount that a dealer had quoted me which was a fair price but the dealer said they would mail me the check within 2 weeks and I wasn’t comfortable giving them my car and having to wait to get paid.
