Tommy was excellent. A smooth process.

Tommy made the process efficient. He was up front with the information at each step and allowed me to read and/or see the information, accompany him on the test ride of the vehicle, and the inspection. I appreciated the opportunity to learn. Tommy was excellent to work with and advocated for the best price for my vehicle.

Quick and Easy Car Sell

We wanted to sell my husband's car so we were investigating where to sell it and I heard and advertisement on a local radio station. We looked up We Buy Any Car. This morning my husband made an appointment and the location was only minutes from our house. We sold his car and had a check before we left the office. We loved working with Tommy.

Ease and Honestly of Webuyanycar!

Selling my 2011 truck to Webuyanycar.com was fair, easy and efficient. From the initial evaluation on the website to the final inspection on-site the process was smooth and straightforward. The manager’s thorough inspection of my truck compared to the initial website evaluation was spot on. I checked with a local dealer, who said the he could not even come close to the offer I received from Webuyanycar.
I would recommend everyone have their vehicle evaluated by Webuyanycar before you sell or trade your vehicle to a traditional car dealer.

The staff was great but the process less than honest

The staff was great and I would give them 5 stars. The process, however, was not as transparent or honest as the website and commercials lead you to believe and would give it a 1. I had an 15yo 184K Chrysler minivan that I knew was not worth a lot but it was in excellent condition, everything worked, never an accident and because I had the unlimited mileage powertrain warranty the engine was spotless, and your internet value was $1605. Well after you guys looked at all the little scratches and paint Nick's, and the worn carpet on the drivers side, you came back with $1600 in repairs needed and offered $400. Come on, a car like this no one at auction would buy it and spend money on paint and carpet, they clean it up, throw in new floor mats, and sell it to a low income family who needs a minivan that is in good mechanical condition. So as I was getting ready to walk out then your staff started to negotiate and after a back and forth we came to $1200 which I accepted. So after you did all your measuring and pictures why didn't you offer $1200 and just say hey, we realize you know it's a good car but at auction for us to meet our margins we can only give you $1200. I should have walked out but my wife has a bunch of health issues and I am her caregiver so I don't have time to fool with selling a car. Bottom line I did not find your process very honest.

Comments for Jeremy- I did check the box for one interior damage item and one mechanical item. I guess the disconnect is what your definition of exterior damage for a car is. I get that on a newer model scrapes, dings and a 2" crack on a bumper is a little more serious. On a car with 184K on it not so much, damage to me would be a busted tail light, rust damage, or a big fender dent. The value of an older car lies in it's core mechanical shape- clean engine with no leaks that has been taken care of, no frame issues or rust issues, all the interior stuff (windows, doors, HVAC, etc.) work. Luckily for you guys Bridget the area manager called me and understood what I am talking about and made things right, that is why I am changing my rating. I suggested to her that your company have 2 grading standards depending on mileage and years. You guys are the ones that want to buy the older cars and I think you will make a good margin on mine. I still think you are missing the boat on what I am saying Jeremy.

Reply from We Buy Any Car® USA - McDonough, GA

Hi Gregg and thanks for choosing webuyanycar.com to sell your 2009 Chrysler Town & Country. We appreciate you taking time to rate our McDonough team's customer service and are sorry we failed to give you a five-star experience.

I see there was a disconnect between disclosures you made online about the van and its true condition. When you valued it on 4/28/2024 at 9:41 PM you checked the box to say it had no damage and got the best possible valuation. We do provide tools for you to let us know about any issues. We don't make adjustments for normal wear and tear, but bigger issues do have an impact.

Like any professional buyer, we do appraise the car before we make an offer. If we see an issue, we will share with you the cost (at wholesale) that will take to restore the car to a condition the next buyer would find acceptable. Issues like the damaged carpets, cracked rear bumper and the dents we found during the appraisal will be noticed by the buyer and play into the grade of the vehicle which is an industry standard scale from 0 through 5. Based on the condition of the van, our team graded it 3.16 out of a possible 5 which falls outside of our normal range of forgiveness for wear and tear.

The team at McDonough should have invited you to be present at the appraisal so you could see the same things we saw. They should have also explained our pricing decision in full. Because of the difference in condition disclosed in the online valuation vs our appraisal, they did have to get a review from our technical team and I'm pleased we were able to make you an offer close to the value we would have paid based on the disclosure that the van had no issues.

We're sorry that the transparency of our process came off as disingenuous and caused our team to receive a lower rating than they deserved for the customer service they provided to you. We would love to know how we could have served you better and to find a way to restore your faith in the integrity of our team. I have escalated your comments to your local Area Manager who will be handling your complaint personally. Please expect a call from us today.

Thanks for letting us know you are unhappy and for giving us the opportunity to do the right thing and restore your faith in us. Customer feedback helps us to improve our processes and is shared at all levels of the organization.

Warmest regards,

Jeremy, on behalf of webuyanycar.com
