Reviewing the details of your vehicle, I do see that the car overheated and became inoperable when you came in to sell. As we were unable to start the car and verify its mechanical condition, you would be offered scrap money for the vehicle. We sell cars whole so we have to cover our costs of transporting the vehicle to a recycler.
As a non-running 20-year-old vehicle in poor physical shape, there is not much we can do for you on price. That said, it is as important to us as it is to you that you had a five-star customer service experience and were treated fairly by our team. Ms. Wilson thoroughly inspected the vehicle and provided me relevant information.Based on mutual discussions regarding such we reached an agreement on the sales price that I considered fair and reasonable. Quick, painless and fair.
After a quick online appraisal I made an appointment with my local office and after about 20 minutes I was given a check for nearly what they had offered on line. They actually met the price but had a couple of hundred dollars documentation feed that made the difference. I was very pleased with the transaction.

Great to get in and out ‘quickly’
Great to get in and out ‘quickly’. Not like a car dealership. They are there to buy you car only. Would have liked their top offer right up front after the inspection. Had to do the “car dealership” haggle to get another $1000 on the offer. You all know what the top offer can be after inspection, so let’s cut out the haggling part.
