Some what disappointed
I was given an estimate by phone and online that I was ok with and when they came out they lowered the estimate because they said they had to send to body shop because it had some very light scratches that probably tooth paste could take out. The problem is because I was ok with the estimate I turned down other people that were interested in the car. It was a matter of only a few hundred but I'm 87 yo and need to pay a lot of medical bills after 17 days in the hospital and in ICU on life support.

We understand your frustration when the final offer differed from the estimate you received by phone and online. Our online valuation is based on the information provided by the customer, and the final offer reflects the verified condition of the vehicle after a professional, in-person appraisal.
During the appraisal, our mobile buyer identified six areas of exterior damage requiring reconditioning, including dents on two panels, oxidation on the driver-side front door, and scratches across multiple body panels. While toothpaste is sometimes suggested online as a DIY remedy for minor paint imperfections, it is a mild abrasive that can damage automotive clear coat if misused. More importantly, it cannot remove dents or correct paint oxidation — both of which require professional body work and were among the findings on your vehicle.
We invite all customers to join the appraisal process so they can see what we see and understand how a vehicle's condition affects its valuation. Our team should have explained the nature of these findings clearly before you had the opportunity to accept or reject our offer.
We have requested that the appraisal notes and photographs from your appointment be peer reviewed by our leadership team to confirm the inspection was conducted to our exacting standards and that every finding was justified. We want you to have full confidence that the process was fair.

He further took his time to work out an issue with DMV, when my old auto tag # appeared not to correspond with my auto VIN.
