UNFORTUNATELY, THE SERVICE ON THE OTHER END OF THE COMPUITER WAS TERRIBLE. THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING. THEY CLAIMED THERE WAS A LEIN ON THE CAR I OWNED. I EVEN HAD THE TITLE WITH MY NAME ON IT. I HAD TO CALL THE BANK WHULE THERE AND THEY EVEN SAID IT WAS MY CAR AND NO LEINS.
THE INDIVIDUAL ONLINE IN YOUR OFFICE WAS SARAH. JUST TERRIBLE. AT ONE POINT I SAID I WAS NOT SELLING IT. I WAS LEAVING.
THE TOTAL PROCESS WAS THREE (3) HOURS.

Selling your car usually takes about an hour although it can take a little longer if there is additional complexity. We carefully track every step of the process and see that you arrived at the branch around 12:05 PM. We cut your check at 3:12 PM which is much longer than a simple transaction would take and understand your frustration.
We carried out an internal investigation with our Deal Support Team to find out what went wrong and I am happy to provide more detail, specifically relating to the lien you refer to. When our titling experts reviewed the paperwork as part of the approval process, we found that the previous lien holder had signed off on the incorrect line on the front of the title, hence we needed to obtain a duplicate title. We also asked for a lien release letter in case the state included the lien on the duplicate title.
Making this an especially complicated transaction, a Power of Attorney was being used which adds to the amount of paperwork needed to apply for a duplicate title.
New Jersey is a very strict state with paperwork. They will reject a duplicate title application if there are errors on the documents or any paperwork is missing or incorrect which is why we wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and did not have to inconvenience you in the future, should the request be rejected by the state.
