We want to scalp your classic car

I approached this company via there online form, trying to get a valuation of my car, as I did not have a good idea of what it might be worth. They came back to me quickly to arrange a viewing, which I thought was odd, but agreed to it. When they came they offered to buy and take it immediately, for what turned out to be a very low offer. I thankfully turned it down and said I never gave the impression that I wanted to sell straight away, just wanted a valuation.

Whilst I'm not convinced that this was a deliberate ploy, but rather poor communication of expectations from the company. I can see how this tactic could lead to some clients giving there cars away for way less than the market price, due to feeling under pressure from the unexpected buyer on their doorstep.

Please be clearer with your processes when dealing with clients, as this can be quite an emotional transaction that you need to be sensitive too. Turning up to buy something with no prior discussion of prices, is not a fair way to go about this.

Selling my classic due to health concerns.

Well, having read some of the reviews on their website, I decided to try using this company. However, my experience didn't live up to the reviews posted on their site. They are fairly quick to respond, but they make an initial offer, either without checking where you live, only to lower the offer based on what they believe collection will cost them, or, the initial offer maybe just to get you on the hook, in the hope that you will accept out of desperation. I find this approach not only highly unprofessional, but also misleading and very underhand. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would not use them in future!
