In Pursuit of Pandas
We have just returned from the Wendy Wu "In Pursuit of Pandas" 9 day tour. What a fabulous experience. We had the most exceptional National Guide throughout - Sophie was just on top of everything all the time - and the 3 local guides Susanna (Beijing), Jenny (Xi'an) and Jesfer (Chengdu). We got to every landmark/experience at the right time - we climbed the Great Wall before the crowds, saw the Terracotta Warriors and even managed to see the Pandas close up. Each one was even better than expected. The hotels we stayed in were lovely and had all the facilities to make our stay comfortable.
Again a huge thank you to Sophie who definitely went above and beyond - cramming 3 cities and so many sights into 7 days (other 2 were travel). She was so professional, informative and caring at the same time. She was on top of every eventuality and nothing was too much trouble - just amazing.

This was my first experience of going on an organised tour and it completely exceeded my expectations. Wendy Wu tours was well organised and our tour leader Frankie was fantastic.
For anyone thinking of doing something like this I would highly recommend as a solo traveller.

What an incredible experience we had doing the In pursuit of Pandas tour with Wendy Wu tours. The national tour guide Sophie made it the most memorable experience for all of us and really shared her passion for China. Her service is exceptional and you could not have asked for a better guide! We visited many places, the Great Wall, Xi’an Terra-cotta warriors, yuanjia village, Chengdu pandas and experienced many restaurants with local cuisine! The accomodation, food and itinerary were great. Highly rate Sophie and her local guides and Wendy Wu. They take care of everything!!

Morocco - Dont Bother
I'm giving this 1 out of 5 on the basis that the guide was good and the group were a good group to travel with. My issues with this tour fall into two parts 1) I just really could not gel with Morocco and didnt find much of interest to me and 2) The substandard quality of the hotels, the poor and repetitive choice of food, the majority of which was either stone cold or luke warm, the number of days spent bumping along for up to 7 hours on a coach through vast areas of nothing going on and to put a cherry on top coming down with 4 days of upset stomach & diaorrhea in the middle of it. Wendy Wu cant do anything about 1) as thats personal to me but they can (but I suspect wont) do anything about hotel and food quality etc. They could have chosen better quality hotels as other companies seem to manage to do easily but instead they choose the cheap, worn around the edges bog standard tourist hotels including one location ...the "luxury" desert camp resembled more a UNHCR refugee camp, the hotel "in the middle of an oasis" ... reached by driving through what resembled a deserted war zone in dusty beat up taxis ... and the "luxury spa hotel" which was undergoing extensive renovation and construction of the ruddy spa facilities. Add to that half the trip was in Ramadan where practically all shops, restaurants etc were shut. This tour was a LOOOOONG 17 days and If I could have flown home after 8 days I would have. Ive never spent a holiday where I was literally crossing the days off and counting the time to go home. All met with the usual textbook platitudes from Wendy Wu ... ie the usual "we are sorry to hear ... will review with local providers blah blah" ... they wont, they'll just carry on picking bog standard hotels on the criteria of price. This is the second Wendy Wu tour I've experienced problems with the hotels on.

Morocco is a vast country, and whilst journey times are clearly outlined as part of the itinerary due to the distances involved, we understand that this can feel particularly challenging when combined with other elements that did not meet expectations.
We’re also sorry to hear that you were unwell during the tour. While illness can unfortunately occur when travelling anywhere, particularly when experiencing new cuisines and climates, we appreciate how much this can impact overall enjoyment.
Regarding accommodation, our intention is always to balance local character, location and comfort. Feedback such as yours is shared directly with our product and operations teams and reviewed with our local partners to ensure standards remain appropriate and aligned with what we advertise. If hotels fall short on standards and our expectations we do not hesitate in making changes and remove hotels from our itineraries.
We understand that Morocco may not resonate with every traveller, and we appreciate your balanced acknowledgement of this being a personal aspect of the experience. That said, we regret that other factors compounded this for you and resulted in such a disappointing holiday.

Wendy Wu tours Beijing and Xian
We could not recommend Wendy Wu tours enough. We booked the land tour through Iglu cruises. From the moment we arrived in Beijing we were welcomed by our tour guide Addison and he was amazing. He accompanied us each day to make sure that everything was organised from the coach, to each excursion and arranged all meals in different restaurants. He brought our whole party together to make sure we all had a wonderful experience. He travelled with us to Xian for further sightseeing and also made sure that we all arrived at the airport on time for our onward destination. I would not hesitate to recommend Wendy Wu tours and in particular our guide Addison.

Incredible trip and guide
We’ve just come back from an incredible week long land tour in China, and our guide Betty truly made the experience unforgettable. Addisonsun our tour guide on the Terracotta Warriors Iglu Travel holiday (February 2026) was excellent. From the minute we arrived in Beijing to us leaving Xi’an, he was there to help and support us. From preparing us for our excursions, selecting food for us to even ordering our drinks - nothing was too much trouble. Inspiring India
My trip to India was an unforgettable experience, full of vibrant culture and stunning sights. Visiting Ranthambhore National Park and seeing a tiger was a real highlight for me.
The tour was very well organised which made the trip stress free and enjoyable. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and full of interesting facts.
Although the heat and busy streets could be a bit overwhelming at times, the overall experience was incredible. I would highly recommend India to anyone looking for a memorable adventure.

My wife and I went to Vietnam with Wendy Woo it was an excellent holiday and exceeded all expectations. The country offered a perfect blend of vibrant culture, rich history, and breathtaking scenery. It wasn’t worth the price.
It wasn’t worth the price,the hotels in Vietnam were very poor quality, the two in Cambodia were very good, so I expected that they would all be good.
There was far too much time travelling on a coach, it would have been better to travel by night train.
The representative in Vietnam was war hungry about taking over Cambodia which i found offensive with all the other troubles around the world.

Vietnam & Cambodia Discovery tour was excellent
Just finished 16 days touring Vietnam north to south and now on our way to Cambodia. Loved our Vietnam guided trip!
* Lap, our local guide, shared interesting historical & cultural insights in a thoughtful, sensitive way
* Itinerary was packed with variety of places, experiences, modes of transport (cycling tour of Hue and vespas in HCMC-Saigon were highlights)
* Walks in gorgeous northern highlands in Hasan, staying at Panhau eco retreat
* Cruising in Halong Bay & visiting the wartime hospital cave
* Hanoi and HoChiMinh city were gloriously wild sensory overloads, balanced well with the slower paced Mekong, Hoi An, Halong Bay, Hasan
* Hotels were very good overall with the Little Residence in Hoi An an absolute gem
* The food was delicious and plentiful, however set menus are understandably less spicy than a la carte. Ask for spice condiments on the side to liven up
* The breadth of active experiences, from multiple bike rides & walking tours to Lap's early morning optional Tai Chi, were great at keeping us energised in this hot climate.
* Lap seamlessly and humourously took great care to meet the various needs of our group of 14 and ensured we learnt a lot as well as having a lovely time in this fascinating country.

We've just returned from a fantastic trip touring southern India.
The trip was well organised, hotels good, trips out and our transport excellent.
We had flight cancellation due to the conflict in Iran. Wendy Woo sourced us new flights, arranged for us to stay further at our hotel and transfer to the airport. We were kept informed at all times.

Best Guided Tour ever!
We went on the Guided Tour covering China and Japan. We’ve now done the Chinese part of the Tour and I have to say it’s been perfect in every way. Wendy Wu Tours have organised the very best hotels, fantastic restaurants and the most impressive tourist attractions. What has made the Tour even better was our National Tour Guide, Andy Zhao. He looked after us every step of the way. He arranged our schedule so that we missed the biggest crowds and any potential bad weather. He would do anything in his power to ensure we had a great Tour. The local tour guides (David, Shirley and Choi) plus the coach drivers also played their parts in making everything run smoothly. I cannot recommend Wendy Wu Tours enough. What stood out most was his organisation and attention to detail; he consistently made sure our group was ahead of the crowds, often getting us first access to key sights, which made a huge difference.
Andy struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the tour. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him.
