Western Dental asked me for $2,500 down…

Western Dental asked me for $2,500 down payment on the day that I went in with an infected implant. It took several visits, and I was promised a free cleaning which never took place, but I received X-rays instead. The doctor that does the implants only comes once a month, but you won't be told that when you sign up. I was given a discount if I paid in full, and then I received a bill for $470 more. When I called and complained I was told not to worry about it. It would be discarded. Then yesterday I went in and was asked for the money. When I called the billing department the bill had gone into collections and they may have done a procedure that wasn't on the treatment plan, and they did not ask me if I wanted it done. Don't go here I still haven't had my teeth cleaned and I was hustled to pay for unnecessary work.

This place is a joke both Delano and…

This place is a joke both Delano and Bakersfield office. They want to charge for procedures not needed and refuse service because of it. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! I'M SURPRISED THEIR STILL IN BUSINESS, LOTS OF COMPLAINTS!!! I also called corporate to make a complaint and they hung up on me.

I wish I listen to everybody not to go to Western dental

First of all they don’t deserve the one star but can’t write a review without a star. Western dental is all about money first and quick about taking your teeth but not getting your new smile. They lie to you. They treat patients so wrong. I called the day before to let them know that I had a bunch of stitches that my tongue is getting caught up on and can I cut them they said no you have an appointment tomorrow morning at 10 AM to get your stitches out by the way this is the third time they said they were taking my stitches out I went in at 10 AM after working until 1 AM prior and got called into a room where they put my bib on, two seconds later turned around took the bib off and said two more weeks. The doctor didn’t even come in to see me. But they were quick to take the money off the card took the money off the card that day but didn’t even see me. I left there still with all the stitches hanging out my tongue getting tied up with it once I started getting loud and telling them that this is not how you treat patients they tried saying oh we’re so sorry it must be a miscommunication please the doctor will see you now I did not want to go back and get seen after the way they treated me after the way they lied to me after the way they got me up so early just to put a bib on me to take it right back off but I went started to sit down and I overheard the doctor say no it’s another two weeks and I said I don’t wanna hear it anymore when it was a month that day!!! Then telling me No we can take the stitches out and we’ll ll work on your dentures for now i’m in the process of getting implants 5 to 8 months I get that stuff takes time but they need to stop lying to their patients treating them like they just don’t care and all they care about is taking money from their patients!!! This was the third time they said they were taking my stitches out after two weeks they were taking my stitches out after three weeks they said they were gonna take my stitches out when I got there they said no they should just have to be in for a full month after a month the stitches come out this is the third time they said they were going to adjust my dentures to make them fit I still don’t have dentures that fit I still have stitches hanging out all over the place my tongue getting caught up I’m not able to eat I’m losing a lot of weight due to this. I do not recommend Western dental!!!! Save yourself and go to a real caring dentist or orthodontist!!! Western dental sucks they take your money and they don’t tend to your needs and they lie and are extremely rude!!!! If you do go to Western dental for implants they’re going to take your money they’re gonna take your teeth and they’re going to keep making excuses keep saying it’s a miscommunication while all along lie to you and treat you wrong good luck!!!

Dental mess-up.

Western Dental at 4550 E. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, AZ. 85008 I now have more pain than I went in for & it cost me over a $1000.00. I trusted them to know what they were doing, but I know now I can't. I hope they do what's right for me? We will see what they do when I call them at 9:00 am. I called them and they won't get me there with an Uber ride paid for by them. I don't have a car at the moment. So it is a hassle for me right now. Plus I'm going be 75 yrs old. I feel like being ripped off. WOW!

Pull My Tooth Please

I had a wisdom tooth extracted at Western Dental in Casa Grande by Dr. Bell and it was actually a great experience. It took a matter of 10 minutes between the numbing and the extraction. That Dr. Bell really did an excellent job. I never thought that getting a wisdom tooth extracted would be a great experience, but it was.

Antioch

Antioch, Sycamore location in California is the worst! They pretend to be nice and wait until you are numbed up before trying to sell you on very expensive procedures that are not covered by insurance. They say they can save you money, when actually they use your information to sign you up for care credit. They only want a card before they proceed with treatment. I was informed by my credit card carrier that someone was trying to access my account the same day I gave Western Dental, in 2 different states that I had never been to. I had to cancel my card. I will not be going back! Scam artists, run!!!

There unprofessional first visit waited…

There unprofessional first visit waited a hour past appointment time and was told I'd have to only pay a dollar copay then asked for 500 that day to do the appointment. Today noon Appointment arrived 15 minutes early they wanted to reschedule for 2 p.m . No phone call just notified me apon arrival. When I called to get some respect they hung up on me.

I can't believe this is still going on

I can't believe this is still going on. Since February 28, Western Dental has been sending me invoices, even though my last payment went to my Care Credit account. I've sent them images of my bill from Care Credit, clearly showing Western Dental and the dollar amount. I've given them my Care Credit account number to verify if they can't on their own. I've spoken to probably 10-12 agents at Western. I've been hung up on, told to call an attorney. The billing dept clearly doesn't know what they're doing. Hopefully, they will send this to a collection agency where I can finally clear it up with someone with a brain. I am also surprised that I haven't been contacted by Western due to my previous review. Obviously, I will NEVER go there again.

Western Dental made me wait two hours…

Western Dental made me wait two hours to finally see the Dentist. The xray technician was horrible. He had no experience taking x-rays and complained to me when I said the bite wings were cutting into my gums. He stormed off to find someone else to do his job. Then he wrote a lie, in his notes about my uncontrolled blood pressure. Not true.
The Dentist wanted to sell me night guards and perio trays. I do not need these costly items. I just asked for a teeth cleaning. It was a nightmare.

been going to them for almost 2 years…

been going to them for almost 2 years still not happy got my dentures told them over and over again they do not fit still nothing finally had to report to my insurance which sent me to their dentist which agreed with me that it was horrible work went to my new dentist that told me the same thing said the work was horrible

Wow! Absolutely horrible service

Wow, what can I say? This is the worst managed/staffed dental clinic I have ever been to. Had 8:00 appointment. We're the second to check in. Waited 1hr 3 mins for X-rays. Wait another 34 mins before an arrogant worker named Cody told us it would be another 5 mins and the doc would see us. Overheard the administrator and doc talking that the doc had a meeting to take and would be 15-20mins before she could resume working on patients. 1 min later, Cody, came over to tell us it would be another 5mins. When I asked him how can it be 5 more minutes when the doc just said it would be 20 more minutes. He just blanked stared at me, knowing he was caught in a lie. He rudely told us we could leave and reschedule if we were unsatisfied. I couldn't believe it, being lied to and then told I could reschedule? We left and did NOT reschedule. We do not recommend Western Dental.

Bad place bad service

Western dental is a horrible place. My appointments were cancelled four times. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. Called corporate and they were no help at all. I know i will never get a call back from them. Very bad place!!!!

Absolute nightmare going on 2 years…

Absolute nightmare going on 2 years now. No service for over 6 months because they just didn’t have an orthodontist. They wouldn’t see my son at any other clinic until I threatened to sue. I paid for services which they were not providing. We don’t ever get seen for visit until more than an hour after scheduled time. So many issues with billing. Then can never coordinate orthodontist and dentist visit so my son hasn’t had his teeth cleaned the whole time he has braces until now- so in 4 months he’ll have his teeth cleaned (that means over 2 years wifh no cleaning and checking for cavities!). Every time i call corporate I am assured a supervisor will call me back within an hour. Not once has a supervisor ever called me back. Not once in 6 months worth of phone calls. Literally the worst service I have ever experienced in medical setting. Unacceptable and they truly don’t care. The orthodontists we’ve seen have been fine. It’s literally every single other thing that has made the experience really bad. And I should never have had to fight to be provided services I already paid for. And for me, the service isn’t free. I have private insurance and paid thousands out of pocket. I will definitely go out of network next time and pay thousands extra just to avoid all the headaches.

I'm fed up with them

I'm fed up with them, I have paid faithfully every month, and every month they send a letter trying to nail me for late fees I don't owe. They tried to authorize auto payment behind my back, and have the audacity to make new excuses even when presented with the reciepts that they themselves printed. I will never go to these swindlers again, their attempts at scamming their customers are scummy and pathetic. Steer clear of these little thieves

I had one appointment with them place is a mess regular cleaning hygienist was a joke spent less than 10 minutes…They want to take X-rays and spend minimum time on cleaning extra and just bs assessment… vey bad dental care…

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH WESTERN DENTAL!

paid a lot of money for a Crown to cover the root canal suggested and performed by DDS Shaw.

1st the root canal was performed
I came back for a temp which was installed. The temp came off along with small fragments of my tooth that where stuck to the cement. I was eating dinner and damn near swallowed the temp crown. That happened twice. Finally permanent was ready and installed.

The exact thing happened a total of 3 times.

Each time DDS Shaw who only works on Mondays shaved my tooth down till there was hardly any tooth left to secure the crown on to.

The last permanent crown was installed about 4 months ago. It came off 3 weeks ago.

Keep in mind that I've now been in 10 times for this procedure.

I walked in Feb 24 and another DDS looked at my tooth and said that it couldn't be saved. It had to be extracted. He went on to say "that in his 15+ years that has only happened 1 time that he knows of and that patient was a METH ADDICT"

He then said that they would credit my account for what I paid for the crown and come up with a solution and then charge me the difference.

CHARGE ME THE DIFFERENCE? METH HEAD? I left furious and needed to calm myself for the way i was treated.

I called the manager Shannon and explained and Shannon was rude and more worried about leaving at 1 p.m. than helping me.

I came back the following Monday to speak to DDS Shaw and manager and they said there is nothing they can do to save my tooth and I would be charged to fix DDS Shaw's botched procedure.

I tried getting a copy of my file and only x-ray pictures were given and Front desk customer Agent Ashley refused to give me the entire file saying that it's a violation of HIPAA laws which turned out to be an absolute lie according to their Corporate Grievance Dept.

DDS Shaw did nothing nor provided any suggestions on how to cover the small hole that she inserted a metal rod to secure crown given the fact she shaved the tooth down to a nub.

I filed Grievance 2/25 it's now 3/09 my tooth is exposed, in pain, and sensitive and they have another 30 days to look into the matter.

BOTTOM LINE. THEY TREAT YOU WELL WHEN THEY WANT TO UPSELL YOU FOR PRODUCTS YOU DON'T NEED.

BUT WHEN THEY BOTCH THE PROCEDURE THERE IS SUDDENLY NO EMPATHY, NO PROFESSIONALISM, AND NO ONE TO HELP FIX THE PROBLEM OTHER THAN FOR THE GRIEVANCE PROCESS WHICH DOESN'T HELP YOUR PAIN.

IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE YOU'RE INSIGNIFICANT AND A NUISANCE AND THEN HAVE A DDS CONFIRM WHAT YOU SUSPECTED WHICH WAS A BOTCHED JOB AND THEN IMPLY YOU'RE A METH USER AS THE REASON WHY CROWN KEEPS COMING OFF RATHER THAN DDS SHAW FILING DOWN MY TOOTH TO A NUB, DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH WESTERN DENTAL IN HAWTHORNE CA EVER!

Apple Valley & Lompoc Western Dentals

I went to Western Dental when I turned 26 and got on obamacare, I’ve been obsessed with my oral health and had never had a cavity or any work done. Western Dental told me I had my first cavity and got to me on my gum health and scared me into getting a Care Credit account, and get the gum treatments, when I couldn’t afford it! The dentist also stuck the needle too far in my nerve and I had debilitating pain in my face for a week.
My last experience with Western Dental was in Lompoc. I was told I had a small cavity, ok sure, got a filling. 6 months later I was told I had 4 cavities! They would not show me the X-rays so I said thanks bye and never went back. Got a second opinion and my teeth are great! My gum health is great! Western Dental is a SCAM

Farmers Lane-Santa Rosa

Horrible experience yet again. This office is just plain deplorable, it's dirty and filled with rude unhelpful people. Since i am a medi-cal patient i have very few options to receive dental care and this is the most convenient location but i already found another much better office and will be switching at least my dental care over next month. i made the unfortunate mistake of doing my ortho care also with these people and i'm warning all of you now: DON'T DO IT. there are plenty of other places you can go and you will be treated like a person instead of scum.
last month i went in for my scheduled ortho adjustment, i had my son with me. no one had ANY issues whatsoever. he sat on my lap the whole time and behaved like an angel, there was not problem! today i showed up for my next adjustment and they refused to let me be seen because i had my son. started telling me about some BS policy that minors aren't allowed in the patient rooms...? they called me a liar saying they don't believe me that my son had come to my last appointment!!! i asked politely if they could just work with me for today so i could get my treatment and that i would make other arrangements going forward.... NOPE! wouldn't even entertain the idea of being considerate and kind. so here i am, having taken time off work and wasted gas driving there just to be denied treatment over some policy i doubt even exists since as i already stated: they allowed my son to be with me just one month prior without so much as a whisper of complaint. i told them i would take this matter as high as i can (their corporate office and BBB etc) and that i would seek council with a lawyer about getting my money back... the "supervisor" laughed and said very snottily, 'ok, you do that'. she responded like that because she knows that corporate doesn't care and isn't going to do a damn thing about how they treat people paying good money for crappy care.
AVOID ALL WESTERN DENTAL OFFICES, if at all possible.

Beware like the Plague!

Beware like the Plague!

I would give zero stars if at all possible.

I scheduled an appointment this morning to have X-rays, oral cleaning, and an exam for a toothache. Not only does the X-technician manhandle my mouth, causing actual physical pain, but when the doctor comes to see me, she pulls up my chart and x-rays on the computer, and then leaves. She doesn't return. No explanation, nothing. Meanwhile, my information on right there on screen for anybody to see as they walk past. HIPAA violation.

I have to go looking for the doctor, only to find her working on another patient. Her assistant rudely yells at me, ordering me to go back to my chair. When the doctor finally does show up, she's defensive, refuses to apologize for just leaving me there, and then refuses to work on me altogether. The staff person who came to investigate is just as bad, saying the doctor can leave in the middle of session without having to let me know. It would have been nice for someone in the office to tell me if there was an emergency, that the doctor is coming back, that I haven't been forgotten.

But apparently, that I am upset that the doctor disappeared for twenty minutes and no one had the decency to tell me is somehow my fault. Also, the doctor and staff denied my information was ever on display as a HIPAA violation. Just because the screensaver kicked in two minutes before you returned doesn't mean it wasn't visible for eighteen of those twenty minutes.

Had I been an out-of-pocket patient instead of Medi-Cal, I'm sure the staff would have found some common courtesy real quick, despite their claims that they treat all patients equally.

I have reported this practice to Liberty Dental, who was nice enough to find me another dentist in my area who accepts Medi-Cal.
