Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Walked in and the lady at the front desk was nice at first and then i was in the waiting room for an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment. And they finally took us inside but I was seated for another hour and a half. The dentist came in to check my kid which took five minutes but didnt tell me what to do so i walked myself over to the front and asked the lady there if my insurance could cover, they said no so i said thank you and they said they would make me a payment plan. so i said u would check other places and she got mad and said to walk out and never make another appointment here and to take my papers with me which she then ripped in my face. This was western dental in atwater.

Staffs were friendly and seems to be overwhelm with patients which I frequently notice during my sons visit. Those corporate programmer need to ease down on trying to make more money for under staff facility. I go to my Dentist and I could definitely see the difference on the Staffs load and amount of people scheduled for a given time.

False or unauthorize billing

I got billed for additional services according to the Western Dental billing department via mailed and an itemized statement that was emailed to me after I requested it by phone which took an hour and a half through call loops. Western Dental really need to fix their customer services call menu and stop having people transfer you to another call and those people hanging up on you. Which made me do a bunch of recalls.

The additional listed services was not on my copy of the contract that I signed for. Which means I did not authorize for those additional services and they billed me without any warning or consent.

There was also some sketchy stuff on the bill like there is no due date and on their website under "pay a bill" the bill could not be found on their website.

I went to Western Dental (October

I went to Western Dental (October - 2002) in Inglewood to get a filling for a dead tooth that had the root canal portion done ... that dentist was excellent, but i had to move before the filling. A Western Dental dentist convinced me to not have it filled, but get a crown (the more expensive procedure) .... adding that fillings fall out. It sounded great, but I had no idea he would file most of the tooth off to put on the crown. The crown put in felt unnatural, unlike the dead tooth. I got use to it but haven't been to a dentist since, until now - the crown having broken apart. I would guess Western Dental still pressures their employees to recommend the expensive, needless route.

DECEITFUL SCAM

Do not trust ANYTHING you're told about financing at the Antioch, CA office. Serenity (financing CSR) who is very nice, but a complete stranger to the truth. She sent me back to consult with the dentist, while in there I had received an email from Alegro before I left the chair. Before even getting the hard copy, she docu-signed my name to a contract she sent from her computer without my authorization. She said it was a promotional $5,000 no interest if all payments were made on time. It said nothing on the hard copy & she said don't worry, Alegro will explain it to you. I immediately called them & they said that was completely false. After 3 weeks back n forth on the phone with one lie after another from Serenity, I started getting calls from Alegro for a missed payment. Alegro submitted their form to cancel the misrepresented, forged docu-signed contract along with notes on my account from 6 times of phone calls with Alegro. When I just called today, she just said "Oh well, that's what I thought they said. She said just make the payments and they'll send you a refund for the interest if you make them all on time." She made up another story about the promotion being over and said it's not her problem. I told her on day 1 I could have gotten a loan from my bank for 4%. But she fabricated this "no interest" lie and to top it off, the numbness across my cheek & eye from the 4 upper implants turns out to be permanent nerve damage. They run that office like a drive thru line at a fast food restaurant & now I have to live with this forever. I canceled the remaining appts and have to have a competent oral surgeon finish all the work. Stay clear of this place or take the chance of being damaged for life now, like I am, thanks to them. I would have given them zero stars, but that option isn't available.

the worst and rudest experience I've ever experienced!!!

the worst and rudest experience I've ever encountered. I owned a customer satisfaction survey company when I was younger and can tell you Western Dental is oblivious to customer service!!!! I hope to be able to prevent companies like Western Dental in Murrieta, Calif., from abusing customers in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The employees at western dental…

The employees at western dental deliberately ignored us even though there were no other customers around. When they finally waited on us, they said that my granddaughter could not be seen for several weeks on down the road! She is has a badly chipped front tooth and her other temporary fell out! Will not go to them again! They are uncaring and rude!

WORTHLESS ORGANIZATION - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

I originally tried to reach them by phone, but was unsuccessful. I finally drove to the facility and waited 45 minutes to get to see someone to take xrays. Another hour to see a dentist - but only after I threatened to leave. They supposedly were trying to verify coverage (after I told them I would pay out of pocket if necessary).
I made an appointment to have a tooth extracted the following week. Uoon discovering I needed to make a change on the time of the appointment, as I needed a ride to and from the facility, I tried to call and reschedule. A dozen phone calls later - told to call back after 3 p.m. - which I did, still no answer. They don't have voicemail to even leave a message.
Fed up, I drove to the Santa Clarita facility and there was no one at the reception desk. I waited 10 minutes and began yelling back into the office for anyone to help. No response. Another 10 minutes later, I walked back into the office and eventually was confronted by "someone" and told I could be back there. I expained I had been there for 20 minutes and needed to speak with "anyone". I walled back to the front and still 5 minutes later, no one came to see what I needed. I then took their "Checkin" sheet and turned it over and wrote on the back that I was canceling my extraction appointment and for them to call me. Guess what? No calls, no nothing. I made additional calls, spent another hour calling and on hold with a recording telling me how much they valued my time, etc. Still unable to leave a message. How in the HECK to they stay in business. SO, to pin point their service; 1) They NEVER answer their phones. 2) They have no one in their office to greet patients or even check them in. 3) There is absolutely no way to contact them, even if you show up at the facility.
I have finally made an appointment elsewhere and have scheduled to get the work done that they were supposed to handle. This is the absolute worse business I have ever experienced. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

Refused Preventative Care, Felt Like Being Up Sold

I was refused a standard cleaning in favor of a deep cleaning, a procedure for which this dental practice wanted to charge me over $1,000 even with my insurance, because I hadn't been to the dentist in several years. For context, I have excellent hygiene, and my gums aren't red or swollen and don't bleed. Additionally, I declined to get a crown, a procedure that by their own admission might have to be repeated as regularly as every five years. The original trauma to the tooth they wanted to cap happened decades ago, and other than some discoloration, I haven't had any problems with it since it was root-canaled in childhood. That didn't deter them from insisting that the procedure was necessary though. Like many other so-called clinics, this practice operates more like a business, putting profits before patients.

Please please do not accept or enroll…

Please please do not accept or enroll for any Dental work in Western dental locations, especially San Mateo, CA and Redwood city, CA locations.
Really horrible service,
1. You have to wait minimum 1 hr to 2 hrs even if you have an appointment
2. Endodontist is available only once in a month
3. Even if you take the appointment calling the corporate call center, you realize it later that the appointment was never confirmed at the specific location ever and you are turned away and again you have to repeat the whole drama of calling the call center and taking the appointment again while not sure of the confirmation at the location
4. Even if you physically schedule an appointment at the location, you arrive on the day and time of your appointment to know that no dentists are available for that day and time are you are again turned away

5. If you try calling the location directly instead of calling the call center, you will never get a response for days together and no body answers your call. It's another waste of your precious time.

6. For every visit they would take your x-rays for the same tooth/ teeth even if it's already available on the system

7. Just to make you abide to the appointment, if you are lucky, then they make you sit on the treatment chairs where you have to wait for the dentist indefinitely.

So the bottom line as per my experience, please don't waste your time or money for Western dental at all. I got an impression that they are just concerned about the business, enroll as many patients as possible irrespective of their capacity to provide quality service.

Soon I'm changing my provider and going away from Western Dental.

A very horrible experience for me for last 6 months. I couldn't stop myself in writing this review and help some people to save their money and time and go for a much better provider

1. A week ago, the Western Dental Clinic of Lancaster CA off of Challenger Way, stated I needed a procedure. This being my first time, I informed them that I had high blood pressure. The technician did not check my blood pressure.

2. Today, I went back to the same clinic off off Challenger way for a follow-up. I was told that I was going to an extraction even though I was told I was there for a follow-up for the procedure I had a week ago. The dentist stated that it needed to be done for an high risk of infection and to install a bone graft. I stated ok, but I informed the clinic staff to call my wife ( as she drove me there). I was informed that the front desk staff staff contacted my wife.

Then, when my wife picked me up, she was angry stating why I did not inform her of the procedure. I informed my wife that I did request the clinic to do such. They called my wife but did not leave a message. I called the front desk and why this happened. They first tried to say that it was not there responsibility to call for patients ( even though my mouth was numb). Then the front desk staff stated that they were directed to call but were not directed to leave a message ( that was dumb).

Then I went to the pharmacy in Lancaster to pick up my medication ( note, I left the clinic 30 minutes before arriving to the pharmacy). I had to call the dental clinic to ask the dentist to place my medication order.

I would give a zero if I could.

I would give a zero if I could.

Western dental prominently advertises emergency dental services on the internet.

My daughter had a dental emergency on an holiday and called the main western dental number. She was given an appointment later in the day. When we got there she was turned away because she already has a dentist. We had made it clear to the person making the appointment who our regular dentist was and that this was for an emergency.

So wrong and unprofessional.

EVIL LIVES at WESTERN DENTAL

This is the most HORRID company to work with, They randomly added money to my balance from what they called an "audit" then came up with a total different number, Then the statement had a third different number, NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company EVER, save yourself the hassle and misery of dealing with this unethical business.
We had paid the account from $10,000 down to $700, Then they added an additional $700, I complained but still let it pay back down to clearing the original $700 and then cancelled my credit card it was being payed on. They then came back and said the balance was $500 in the Better Business Bureau complaint. Now when I check my statement it says $600, So 3 different random numbers and I am supposed to trust these people? AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED MY BALANCE IS ZERO. This is EXTORTION, COERCION, and ILLEGAL.
