pond plants
We ordered a starter pack of pond plants from Wetland Plants.
Pros: They arrived by DPD in a few days with a delivery time slot (but only 45 minutes notice). Good selection of plants wrapped in wet newspaper and sealed bags in a double lined box. Instructions were good enough and each of the bunches of plants included plastic identification tags with individual instructions. Not bad value for money. Plant health and hardiness remain to be seen but I will update in time.
Cons: There weren't enough potting baskets included (2 medium and the rest small) and we had to order a few more to avoid putting too many plants into the small pots, particularly the plants that grow quite high and need a bit more weight in the pot to stabilise them - there simply weren't enough big pots for them. This was a bit of a nuisance as we've now had to order more pots. A confirmation email from the company after ordering would have been appreciated, and a bit more notice on delivery.
