Panels were all marked, ghosted by customer service

Fast delivery but the panels were all marked and had to be replaced. Their agent said he would have the warehouse check for unmarked panels. Four days later I chased for a reply and three days later got a response simply stating replacements would be sent. No quality checks had been done by the warehouse. Out of 12 panels, 1 was free of blemishes, I then took the 5 least marked panels as I was under a time constraint. I emailed to say that I don't think I should be paying full price for damaged goods. They never replied. I chased a week later and still no reply, it's been three weeks. Ghosted.

Mostly good.

Great price compared to local suppliers
Delivery cost fair.
Delivery super quick.
BUT
Boards had damage to corner edges requiring them to be cut down by a few centimetres. This not a major problem, more a nuisance really.
I have reported this via email to customer care but have not had a response! Shame otherwise would have given 5 ⭐ rating.

Absolutely disgusted with the company

Absolutely disgusted with the company, they sent me the wrong board. I paid for next day delivery. I understand mistakes happen but the company would not hold any accountability and I never received an apology. How hard is it to put 2 of the same boards on a lorry. I wasn’t even bothered about it until I received the reply from the company absolute disgrace. No accountability. Do not take it from these companies you are protected by consumer rights in the uk which trump any terms and conditions a company wants to make.
Customer service in the uk is long gone and it’s these company’s that are the issue.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your review, and I'll fill in the backstory. You placed your order on the 6th of November during the evening when we are closed. The following day (7th), your panels and accessories were sent via 24-hour delivery, as this was the service you paid. On Friday, your items turned up at your property at 10:04am.

At approximately 16:30 you called, stating you had an issue with the panel, which is always gutting to hear. You were asked to send photos as we have to determine what has occurred. You were also told that the couriers had already been in to collect the daily deliveries, as they visit the warehouse normally between 14:00 and 15:00, and any replacement items wouldn't be sent out until Monday for a Tuesday delivery.

At 16:48, you sent a long email stating that we ought to cover your additional costs, still no photo's, which we responded to by pointing out the terms & conditions you agreed to and a gentle reminder for these photo's demonstrating the issue.

At 17:36, you sent the photo's by which time we had closed, as you will have seen that we close at 17:00 from our website. Monday, we responded to your email, picked and dispatched the item, which arrived on Tuesday at 09:54.

I would advise any customer that's in a hurry: once receiving your items, please check them as soon as they are received. The sooner you make contact, provide the information listed on our site and from what we tell you, the sooner any issue will be resolved.

On the phone I was apologetic, polite, and fixed the issue, and it's a shame you feel the way you do. I hope you are okay and that your customer is happy with the panels.

Kind Regards

Rupert

Faulty shower

Faulty shower

Had a bathroom fitted in June and shower stopped working in July. We reported it to the company straight away and after two months they said they had ordered a replacement. Still heard nothing and they don’t respond to messages. It’s a shame because the fitters they recommended were lovely and the bathroom itself is nice. We are now taking legal action.

Hi Hannah,

I have flagged this review, as we do not sell showers; we are a wet wall company selling panels. Please remove your review, as it's damaging to us, and place it on the correct company's profile. No doubt, this will be why you haven't had a response to any messages.

Kind regards,

Avoid!

Paid £40 for 2-3 day delivery. Ordered on the Sunday. Told it would arrive on Wednesday, then actually it would be Friday. Got to Friday and actually it’s now Saturday.

Asked them to cancel the order as I needed it for my bathroom fitters before the end of the week and was told it would cost me 20% of the order to cancel. £120 to cancel?!

Absolute joke of a company who clearly haven’t got a grip on their delivery system.

Hi Jack,

When you purchased Multipanel products, our delivery cost was £40, but depending on spend, our delivery is free if your order is greater than £500. The items were to be delivered on the Wednesday, 2 working days after placing your order by Multipanel, but I cannot see in any emails why there was a delay.

If items are made to order, there is a 20% restocking charge, but only if the items had been delivered, which yours weren't, so there was no charge at all.

Kind regards,

Rupert

Don’t believe what they tell you! Read the small print.

Don’t believe what they tell you! If you’re hoping to return the unused materials make sure you return it within 28days. Any time over that and they will do nothing to help.

Most companies have returns policies and I appreciate that. However, considering we spent £1500 with the promise of being able to return unused materials with no mention of a time limit, I am disappointed that some flexibility in your policy could not be adopted. Bearing in mind that we are talking two weeks over your 28 day policy here, not two months.

Hi Ian,

Like the majority of business we have a returns policy, sounds like you where out with that returns policy. Would advise if you need to return anything to any business in the future you check the returns policy and return it within the conditions of the returns policy.

Awful firm - don’t even want to give 1 star.

Awful firm - do not use.
Colours on panels delivered did not match. Out of 6 panels received 2 were white as should be - 4 were a beige/grey. Replacements sent and still did not match what should be white.
Rupert tried to say it was down to my plumber unable to read batch numbers! Plumber and I checked and opened them together - what an insult from Rupert.
Unable to use panels, told them to collect the panels that hadn’t been fixed to the wall and that their manufacturing error meant bathroom plans needed completely changing.
Requested full refund - offered partial - still not received that!

Joanna, you needed to give me the batch code for the panels fitted to the wall. Having the batch number for the panels not fitted isn't helpful in the slightest, which is why the replacements matched the ones not fitted.

Either you or the fitter gave me the wrong information, plain and simple, which was your fault, and you're right, no refund was given as you were in the wrong.

Kind regards,

Rupert

Amazing service and products.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Denny Reid and David at your Hillington branch Glasgow. From the moment I entered I was made to feel valued and welcome. Nothing was too much trouble to Denny, I had a vision in my head of what I wanted for my new wetroom and Denny worked hard running around getting different samples and putting them together so I could imagine them together. Nothing was too much trouble at all and as I'm disabled it's difficult to do this on my own but Denny made it a pleasure. David then kindly gave me advice on items that would benefit me with my type of disability and I'm very grateful for that..didn't even know a comfort height toilet was a thing! I went round a list of shops to try and keep my costs down but after meeting Denny and David I didn't want to go anywhere else, they're service was outstanding.

Shop elsewhere for aquaboards. Unpleasant, costly experience.

This company could improve by selling a quality, effective, water tight product. Do not buy their awful plastic shower aqua boards. They are cheap rubbish.

The returns process is then costly and fiddly; you need to be prepared to ship very large, very heavy items back to Scotland if they are not fit for purpose. The onus is on you to organise from start to finish AND you will need to email Wet Wall Works to make sure you are refunded.

They will coincidentally process your refund on the day you chase them.

Sorry to say Rupert in customer services - you are the definition of passive aggressive on email. The whole experience for me, was unpleasant and has left me hugely out of pocket.

I also think it's worth sharing that the advice I was given to organise a return was untruthful (being told to just tape the weighty over 6 foot parcels together as it would then cost around £35-£70.... when I was subsequently phoned by the two man courier and told this was not a viable option and would cost upwards of £150+ for the size of the packages).

The Wet Walls Works refunded amount also arrived on email (following me chasing) without explanation. I had to email to ask for a breakdown of the lowly figure returned to me.

My advice would be to treat your customers as human beings, who are trying in a busy life as we all have, to find a solution. Being disingenuous makes life extra stressful and you should take the poor quality plastic aqua boards off your website to save others this unnecessary and costly hassle.

Good Morning Charlotte,

All of our panels are waterproof, but I have to say, your review is very misleading and not fair. I was extremely respectful, talked you through the entire returns process, helped you input the data with a courier of your choice, whilst you were attending your baby. I appreciate, being a parent, things need to be done there and then which is why I gave you my time to ease any stress, as I would hope some one would do this for my wife. You would not have received this customer service from any household name, as you would not physically be able to talk to a human, instead live chat or automated emails, which causes every one stress.

Samples were available, free of charge, as we appreciate not everyone knows the difference between a pvc and ply shower panel. The company that were fitting your panels were inexperienced! I can say this, as when they contacted me, they sent photo's of the panels cut outside in the rain. Fitters know to check the items before fitting, as when they make a cut they are liable. To also cut the panels outside where they can bleach as there is no protection from uv (like you have from a window) also demonstrates they didn't know what they were doing.

You purchased PVC panels which have a male & female which slot into one another, not click, which is what you get with a ply panel. When fitting any wall panel, sealant must be put into the female, so when the male slots in, the excess is wiped away giving protection. I had to walk this over with your fitters, as they were unsure, your option was to return them as they were out of their depth. I couldn't refund you for panels used, that should be knocked off the fitters invoice. You weren't happy about this, but that's an issue you have to take up with yourself. The other four you obviously could return for a refund which was explained to you. I didn't give you a breakdown of the return cost as it was four panels which we had discussed.

We do not arrange collections which is in our terms, that you agreed to. The reason why we don't, is that we are relying on customers to wrap the panels to protect them during transit. Historically, people would wrap bubble wrap along the edges and expect a pvc panel to make it through various distribution centres, on and off vehicles to arrive intact. We would not be covered by insurance for a claim and have the privilege of refunding the customers for damaged items plus hit with a collection invoice.

Customers expect to receive items in perfect condition, which is why we have invested in our machines, but we can't expect the customers to have these facilities at home, which is why, if they arrange the return they are covered for a claim as the item(s) are going from consumer to business and covered for any damages.

As I mentioned earlier, you wanted to arrange the return there and then but you could have taken your time and done a google search for other couriers. I also advised to tape the packages together, as you would be sending fewer units which would bring the cost down. You didn't follow my advice which is why you were charged a higher amount.

I also asked you for the tracking which you did not send. We have containers, lorries arriving daily and if we don't have a tracking code, then items will be placed to the side until a tracking code can be linked to an item in the holding bay.

I am not passive aggressive, I tried to make everyone's journey easy but it was down to you not meeting me. You listened to your fitters who made a mistake. They should have advised you and checked what they were doing before starting. I've tried to help you throughout this process and will do again in the future if needed.

Kind Regards

Rupert

Very Dissapointed with the panels

Big gap in the middle at the joint between 2 panels. Company claimed it was a fitting issue but was still the same when removed and laid on the floor.

Lee at customer services was friendly enough but didn't offer any solution just claimed it was my issue for fitting the panels.

Delivery was very good
Price was very good

Unfortunately the tounge and groove joint let it down

Wouldn't use again.

Totally amazing bunch

Totally amazing bunch . Mark and his team have made my elderly mother incredibly happy and her life so much easier with the design and installation of her new bathroom. Mobility was the main issue for her and trusting someone to get the job done was mine. Neither of us had to worry. Honesty craftsmanship quality and price came in the same package….5 stars simply isn’t enough- well done you guys. Ian Williamson, falkirk

Glasgow Hillington site.

Glasgow Hillington site.
Great showroom with plenty options on display.
After sound advice from David we were very quickly able to decide on aqua click panels.
Delivered within a few days using own driver, not a third party or courier.
Product was a delight to deal with, even for a keen amateur, and looks amazing,
Highly recommended this supplier.

Bathroom now completed

Bathroom now completed! Spent time over Christmas researching and speaking to Denny and David at the Hillington Showroom. They were extremely helpful, had clear knowledge of all products and gave us a number of samples to take away. Ordered on Tuesday and delivery took place exactly as promised on the Friday by a really helpful driver. Returned some glue and one trim today and received a refund with no hassle at all. We are very grateful to both Denny and David for all their help.

The shower panel arrived scratched and…

The shower panel arrived scratched and it was an addition to 3 shower panels that had previously arrived.
Customer service aggressively defended that the shower panel should be inspected within 24 hours, who does that on a large job, you wait for the fitters to open it and fit it.
I was present during the unwrapping and there was a clear scratch down the middle of the panel.
They were unhelpful and quite clearly work on this little clause to not support people with faulty goods.
I have claimed on my credit card for faulty goods but good companies should not behave like this when things go wrong and they are clearly at fault.
I would not deal with this company again.

Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your review. On all of our emails and throughout the site we advise customers to check items as soon as they are received. The customers that do this find, they have a seamless journey with peace of mind and very little stress. The ones that don't, cause themselves stress, needless costs due to poor organisation and are racing around finger-pointing when they had a simple task to follow our many prompts prior to fitters arriving.

Many thanks,

Rupert

Hi,

Thank you for your review, However I think you might have us mixed up with the wrong company. A quick google search shows the company your looking for is in Florida America. Were a company based in Glasgow Scotland so would be a bit far for us to travel to fit a bathroom. If you could remove your review and post it on the actual company that would be great thanks.

Many Thanks

Great company to buy from and excellent customer service.

I found the website very good and
was by far the best compared to other places, easy to understand and had everything I needed at competitive prices.
There was a problem due to courier.
I emailed Wetwalls explaining everything and received a phone call.
I have to say the customer service was excellent and the problem resolved very quickly. I must stress it was the courier who created the problem nothing to do with Wet Wall Works.
The marine boards are great quality and I would definitely recommend
