I ordered 4 books from Blackwells. Turns out they use Whistl for order fulfillment. One was posted a week ago and I have yet to receive it, two were posted 3 days ago and have yet to go out for delivery. Not the first time this has happened to me usung a company that uses Whistl. I strongly advise that you avoid any retailer that uses Whistl for order fulfillment. I will be from now on.
After buying items from temu and them being sent via whistl i realised how bad the app is. Items never arrived with me. But showed as delivered to a neighbour. No neighbour name or house number given, no card through the door.no proof of delivery picture. So going on the app it requested that i contact their driver. Or the sender. The tracking is useless. The seller had to contact me with the info.
One star only to leave a review. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!!!!!
Had a parcel for collection from my house. DPD,under the umbrella of Whistl, arrived on the correct date at the correct time. Driver didn't even get out of van. 20 seconds later drove off. Shower of s!!t
In keeping with with everyone else this was appallingly slow service both times. Music Magpie who are normally excellent and reliable are using them now and will be tarred with the same brush if they continue to do so.
If the company I ordered a book from which I still haven't received had been honest about using Whistl, I'd have purchased elsewhere.
Bought an item off a seller on Amazon on the basis that it would be delivered by 26th February. I now see it's expected by 3rd March. Whistl tracking indicates they handed it over to Royal Mail on 25th February and it hasn't moved since then!
If a company is going to use Whistl it should say so because I would then certainly not order anything from that company.
Apalling service!
I was expecting a parcel this morning containing a plant order, only to be informed by whistl that my parcel had sustained damage during transit and it was not delivered! Could you please inform me what happens now? If it HAD actually been delivered, at least I would have been able to send a photograph to your company, showing the problem! Can you please inform me what I am supposed to do now to follow up this inadequate service by whistl?
Whistl every time I have post it's never on time no tracking and impossible to talk to anyone 3 orders all the same date keeps changing just really horrible postal service I'm angry I didn't look fir WHISTL avoid at all costs
I really don't know how this company can still be allowed to operate.
They are subcontractors for Yodel (who's service in my area is diabolical in itself).
Their drivers are poorly trained and use postcode satellite navigation ONLY to find addresses, ignoring the rest of the address i.e house number and street address. This means if your house is not on their pin drop, then you have no chance of receiving your parcel. They will dump it in the vicinity then take a photo of proof of delivery whether it's thrown in a hedge or chucked over a gate.
I live in a rural area, and my postcode has 41 addresses, well spaced apart from each other. The driver(s) for this area will not bother driving the 5 minutes from the centre of the postcode to find my house. When I complained to Yodel, they told me to go and call on my neighbours and ask if they had my parcel...then ask politely for it, And if I can't find it, contact Whistl and liaise with them!
Fortunately, items I buy from eBay have a delivery guarantee so I can get a refund for non delivery. But I am at the stage now where I check with the seller before buying, if they use Yodel. If so I won't buy from them.
I have emailed Whistl about the last parcel that had gone missing so I will see if they bother to reply....
EDIT: I received a reply from Whistl bouncing me back to Yodel! Diabolical.
I think this is the 2nd time I've ever had a delivery with this company and both times have been dreadful. Parcel is from Temu and was meant to arrive by Feb 6. 5 days later the last update on their website was on the 5th saying "at depot", I've had zero communication. I'd expect at least an email saying it's delayed and an expected date but no, just silence. If I had the choice I would never choose this company for my deliveries, I've had better experiences with the other companies (and they aren't great either). Awful.
This would be a minus-star rating if that were possible.
Tracking showed out for delivery, then changed to delivery attempted – no one to receive, card left.
We were in all day and CCTV confirms no driver came to the door or even down the street at the stated time. No card was left.
A formal complaint was submitted and I was simply told the parcel had been passed to Yodel.
Very poor service and misleading tracking updates.
Tracking not updated for 7 days. Unable to contact anyone.
No delivery scheduled date - just waiting 10 days for item that retailer said ' 2 days'
Poor service been sat at in transit 3 days when u call the agent says they can't help. Decide time I've had time use as the seller insists in using them but it was 3 weeks wait shambles
Slowest delivery company ever.
Really unreliable.
Poor if any tracking.
Even worse than evri or dpd and they are shocking.
I just had a John Lewis insurance renewal letter arrive 25 days after posting ...not just annoying but costly.
Everything went well.
Package arrived on time.
And I think 3 £ was cheap delivery cost to Sweden.
Unethical company and greedy management. Do not use.
Utter rubbish. Unfortunately used by Smol - they "collected" my last order 3 weeks ago and have yet to deliver. Makes Royal Mail and Yodel look good and that is saying something!
