Very Disappointed

Very Disappointed — Poor Service and Unfair Price Hike

I placed an order with Wholesale Air Conditioning for a Mitsubishi controller that was listed as in stock. After waiting, I was informed it was actually out of stock due to an error on their website. Rather than taking responsibility, they expected me to wear a $141 price increase to proceed with the order. This delay and price change was entirely their fault — yet I’m the one left inconvenienced and out of pocket unless I accept their new terms. Completely unfair and unprofessional. I won’t be ordering from them again. Seems it’s not the first time they have done this, sales tactic perhaps? Appalled.

pathetic service

I contacted this company to get a quote on 2 split air cons, and I asked in that request do you do installs and how much per unit.

They sent me a link in my email to fill out a form, and provide floor plans and photos of where the installs would happen and this was their reply.

"We noticed you've contacted us via both email and text/chat. We've already addressed your request on Chat.

To ensure faster and more efficient support, we kindly ask that you use only one channel for future inquiries. This helps us avoid delays and ensures we don’t provide duplicate responses.

NOTE: they did not address my request on chat, as I could not send files on my phone i had to do it from PC, but even though i filled out their forms and provided everything he just shrugs me off.

I purchased an $1200 air conditioner…

I purchased an $1200 air conditioner from them, which after 4 weeks was never delivered and they refuse to answer emails. This has to be stealing. Hopefully the bank will recover my money. DO NOT USE THEM.

Great price but forget about the rest

Great price but forget about the rest. Quoted, paid and delivered the unit to be told at installation it was going to cost more to install - not left many options but to pay it. Move forward to the following day and I am invoiced the amount, three hours later a follow up email demanding payment as the account was overdue…seriously, I was at work when the original invoice was received. Fast forward to after it has been paid - text message and emails demanding payment. I provided proof of payment and reconfirmed the banking details - these guys are savage on the hunt for money, money they already had but were too caught up on doing nothing to bother to check the bank account and confirm it had been received

Flawed customer service system: anxiety I don't need

I ordered my split system on March 14. Nearly one month later was still waiting for delivery. Honestly, at points, I thought I'd been scammed and felt sick and anxious. I contacted Vincent S by email and phone throughout the timeline and he really did a great job. He identified there was no warehouse stock for my unit. Fair enough. But tell me! Allied Express didn't give me a tracking number. Vincent passed it on. Their online tracking had my unit ready for delivery for five days, but nothing arrived. Waiting for installation. Emailed. Called. Four days of silence from them. Finally got Aimen, a manager. He took action. Next day the installation was done. Used Appliances Online twice previously. Ordered. Delivered and installed in two days. Never using this company again.

unbelievable power by staff

I had dealings with this company whole air conditioning and I negotiated a price of $2900 for the unit and installation. I then received an additional email requesting a further $50.00 for shipping the unit. I cannot believe that this is legal and therefore contacted the company and was told that they would cancel the order immediately. I requested to speak to a manager and was told that their manager doesn't get involved. What kind of company is this? I cannot believe this sales rep that I spoke to has full authority to handle these complicated situations.

Website claims DOOR TO DOOR AUSTRALIA WIDE DELIVERY. Perth, Darwin and Northern Territory – please contact us with model number and we will provide you with and accurate quote in 30 minutes.

Only to be told that Perth is out of our standard delivery zone.

Should have taken a look at their other reviews before buying because I have had the exact same issue as other people.

So purchased in good faith, and the online store said it was in stock and 12 days later I start chasing to be told it has not even been sent and they don't know why.

The person on the phone then has the gall to ask me if the payment went though and if I had made payment.?

Ok, so why am I calling to ask where the item is if I have not paid for it? That would be really naive on my behalf if I am asking a retailer to ship before payment!

Anyway, why we as the customers have to constantly chase retailers is beyond a joke.

The word SERVICE is simply not in the new world dictionary.

So the end of the call went a little like this, "I'll have to get back to you tomorrow as I need to check with the warehouse." Not, hang on a second and I will call the warehouse and chase this up or go down there and sort it out right now and I am so sorry for the inconvenience.

No apology, nothing.

So, No, I have to wait another day and they will get around to it tomorrow. Maybe!

I bet you $10 I am going to have to call them and chase them and it will end up with me forcing a refund and going elsewhere. Hey, I already found the same item for $45 less two days after I ordered it.

So my honest opinion is avoid this company based upon my personal experience and the other reviews found on the internet.

Avoid - dodgy and unprofessional

Aside from their poor communication (nobody answers the phone nor responds to the chat regardless of their online claim "we reply immediately"! Apparently they are on holiday; ever heard of training someone to work in your place whilst you are on leave, or else letting the public know that you are not available to work?) they lied to me that they have an item in stock when it is not. I triple checked this fact with them before cancelling an order elsewhere because they claimed I could have it in a matter of days. I couldn't work out if they lied as an underhand tactic so I'd possibly buy something else or because nobody could be bothered checking the stock. Either way it wasted 2 days and has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I have read other reviews of their "service" and feel relieved that even thought I did not get the item, I have dodged a bullet.

Contacted them for supply and install…

Contacted them for supply and install of a split system. Had to keep chasing them, took several emails over a week. Then they just stopped responding - oddly as soon as I called them out on their non-adherance to the aust wiring standards (dedicated circuit now required for all systems, regardless of size - since 2019).
I've since got another quote and had the system PROPERLY and LEGALLY installed before I've even got a quote from this mob. Similar experience to another online place that had cheap (dodgy) installations available.

A business that doesn't offer as advertised product, and fails to give any compensation

They don't offer any thing at all for their mistakes.

They charge some other price than what the item was advertised at. If item advertised at $X +$ Y shipping, they send you invoice asking $X +$5000 for item and $Y + 200 for shipment.

No compensation or remedy offered by them like any future discount or any good Customer service business would provide for their mistake.

And clearly they do not advertise correctly.

They also state that item bought at $X was a picture or NFT not a physical good. LOL and they are asking us to pay $280 + from Toll Shipping for this NFT ??

One can only imagine the process one would have to go through if they actually bought their item and it got defected.

So much trouble to go through VCAT, SACAT, NSWCAT for warranty etc if the manufacture says you need to go through the place of purchase.

Just not worth it to go with them, they will always charge you way way higher, and who knows perhaps even send you a printed picture for your payed price, when you think you payed for an actual air conditioner
