Staring our adventure out of Exmouth getting a camping 4WD was important and Wicked Campers was there. Mechanically the vehicle was great, handing all the terrains without a problem. Having th... See more

Spent five days in a Johny Feelgood campervan, Cairns to Cooktown. Booking online was easy and pickup and delivery was very quick and simple, the staff are great.
It was an excellent trip, comfortable bed and the storage, stove, fridge and sink all worked fine. A very easy and comfortable van to drive. Just pull into a caravan park or camp site and pull out the table and chairs, done. So easy. I highly recommend hiring this vehicle.

Far North Queensland 2025 Wicked Campers….Johnny Feelgood 2! What more could you ask for, great company, road trip from Cairns to Cape Tribulation and the smooth, fully equipped Wicked Campers was a treat! Good on fuel, more than enough room for two, 12V chilly bin with solar on roof, loads of storage, compact butane stove, kitchen sink, basic tableware for two, dark tinted windows for ease of privacy and most importantly, the kitchen knife was sharpend! Wicked Campers, Cairns team member was laid back with positive vibes and source of great information! Looking forward to booking our 2026 trip back to FNQ with Wicked!

Beware of this company!
Still did not get my deposit back though it has been two months!
+ the vehículos fleet is old and rusty

It was easy to collect and drop off. The ladies were quick and efficient so we could get on our way. The Mystery machine van drove good and got us where we wanted to be in the outback.
Would have been better if it had some sort of window coverings but all in all was a good experience.

The mystery machine was great to drive in for a few days exploring the great ocean road! Came with plenty of equipment and drove well. The staff were super helpful too.

Amazing customer service, always there to pick up the phone. Have rented twice with them, basic option for van rental is of course basic but very reliable. Cannot recommend this company enough!

The good:
- Fast Response Times Customer Support
- Vehicle didn’t break down
- Got us from A to B
The Bad:
- No bedding provided, not mentioned in booking.
- Graffiti all over the vehicle interior
- Boot wouldn’t open
- Customer Support forgot to take our deposit + didn’t check us in
- Petrol tank was empty on pickup
- Camper was dirty, not looked after
To be completely honest, I wouldn’t book with wicked again. A poor experience all round.

We had a great time in the high top Mystery Machine from Wicked Campers. We travelled throughout South West WA and it was a great way to see the beautiful national parks. The price to hire was quite cheap, the van had everything we needed in it and the mats to sleep on were quite comfy. The colourful design really made a lot of people smile and laugh and we met a lot of lovely people through the colourful van!
The only annoyance we had with the van was that we needed to fill up fuel quite often - approx 1/4 tank went per 100km and the wheels were a bit flat and petrol was empty when we were given the van.

We hired the mystery machine for 12 nights and did the job. Not luxury however was exactly what we needed. Used camp kitchens as was not really an option to cook from the van due to space. Overall we had a great time.

Had a trip of a lifetime in a Johnny and would recommend the vehicle. However, the condition of the van was subpar and roadside were not the most responsive when we did encounter issues. On top of this, some of the restrictions were not anticipated, like the fact you aren’t insured to drive in the dark if you are not in a city. So yeah the Johnny was great but wicked campers not so great!

Our experience with Wicked Campers was a good one. We did an 8,000km round trip over 12 days from Sydney to Adelaide, Uluru, Tennant Creek, Mount Isa and Lightning Ridge. The vehicle went well. When you put your foot on the accelerator it went. When you put your foot on the brake it stopped. What more do you want!?!

When I first encountered the van I was pleasantly surprised. It had all the basic equipment my friend and I needed for our trip which was more than I expected going in. However, the van was old which led to a few close calls safety wise. Let’s just say you get what you pay for, and by the time we dropped off the van I was more than ready to say goodbye.

We had a mystery machine which ran ok but was pretty old. No sponge though so pretty hard to clean our dishes, but other than that was fine. Just the basic necessities but fine if you dont expect anything luxurious.
Camper was smaller than expected and lack of bedding was also a surprise. Won't hire wicked camper again.

The car ran really well and is easy to drive, plus the camping was comfortable for us, (we're in our late 60's). The little van had everything for our camping needs. Thanks for the enjoyable experience.

The Jhonny Feelgood is a super convenient little van for a solo traveller - comfortable to drive, and quick easy set up for camping/sleeping. Was the perfect amount of space for a road trip, with all the essentials covered.
Wicked are strict on their policies though (which are warranted, but not ones I've experienced with other rental companies), so be sure to read the terms and conditions when booking! Otherwise I had a wonderful trip and would hire with them again 😊

Thank’s a lot for the beautiful road trip with the Mystery Machin. It has all things with need to make a good travel.

We had a very good experience overall however the van was a bit older so there were a couple of minor issues that had been patched up but not very well like a hole in the sink and the pump for the water. However the van drove fine and we were doing about 4 hours driving a day so pretty impressed for the price. Would definitely recommend and use again

We recently rented from Wicked Camper Vans and had an amazing experience! The pickup process was effortless — we were in and out quickly and ready to hit the road. The van itself (the awesome Mystery Machine!) was easy to drive and definitely turned a lot of heads everywhere we went. The layout inside was perfect, making it super comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat on the go. I would recommend Wicked Camper Vans every time — they've made road-tripping so much fun! I’m already looking forward to our next adventure, this time renting a 3-seater so I can bring my kids along too!

Strong customer service for booking and payment process, let down by pick up experience and general condition of the camper.
When we collected our camper from Exmouth WA, the confirmation email stated a seamless, contactless experience for out of hours collection (3pm on a Saturday for which we were charged $100) but to our dismay, we turned up to a basic shed in an industrial estate and the only hint of what to do was to call a number that turned out to be a local resort/accom and when someone turned up later to provide keys, she really didnt have much idea about who we were, what we had booked and just handed us a key with zero assistance to show us where things were, how to operate anything and no sign of the National Park pass we'd been charged $150 for. The door of the camper was so hard to open, we had to buy WD40 to try and make it easy - unsuccessfully.
Generally, the camper was OK to drive but def not a the strong customer experience we'd received during the booking and payment process.
