SImply INCREDIBLE

Our first trip with WT was a treat for sure! Great guides, superb accommodations, wonderful food all in the beautiful world of Patagonia. We shall do a second trip with WT, just need to decide where and when.

Slight confusion over paying (or not) for drinks!

We enjoyed our trip with Wilderness through the Galápagos Islands.
The guide, food and scenery were amazing! The boat “ MaryAnne” however was in need of an update.

Wilderness Travel proved to have the best guides, accommodations and like-minded guests for a ten day trek across Patagonia in Chile and Argentina. A disastrous flood in Torres del Paine was merely another opportunity for our intrepid guide to navigate us safely through. What an adventure!

Wilderness Travel does a wonderful job of connecting with the local environment. The hotels, food, local cultural experiences were top notch.

WT is the most professional and attentive agency I have ever encountered. The staff in Cal, their local partners, and trip leaders in particular, are all customer-focused. Whenever you selected a trip, you just sit back and enjoy yourself, WT will do the rest.

I have been fortunate to take 5 wildlife based trips with WT and have found them all fantastic. The wildlife tours are early riser times and then a rest period followed by afternoon/evening periods, so do not consider them if you are looking for lounging around. Food has always been on the amazing side and the lodgings are predominately bordering on the luxury side. Once in a while lodging may be less amazing but that is only when you are in an exceptionally isolated area - but you are going to see the flora and fauna so it is worth the trade-off for the one or two days. The guides are always excellent, knowledgeable and personable and I have never been with one the was anything less.

We have taken 5 trips with Wilderness Travel (and a few with other tour companies) but we always come back to WT. Their guides are the best we've experienced, the local tour companies (the important boots on the ground) are top notch and the itineraries are well-thought out and constructed to maximize the experience. We believe WT is simply the best tour company and have great memories in our WT trips. We'll be using them again in the future.

I have travelled with WT multiple times, the most recent being New Zealand. I have never been disappointed with any aspect of our trip or destination! Our experience with WT guides has been that they are knowledgeable, competent, professional and very personable.
The management team and booking agents are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable as well.

Excellent tour company, great guides, very good choice of accommodations and food. Their tours provide a high level experience: history, culture, current events. In our experience WT attracts a well educated, well traveled, active, inquisitive, congenial and compatible tour group which adds to the experience.

Nobody better to tour/trek with...you will always feel safe, well informed, stay in remarkable hotels, see mind blowing sights, knowledgeable guides....kind and comforting when the trekking gets tough.

Wilderness Travel offers great trips with awesome guides. Everything from the lodging to the food was very good. I have done 2 trips with them so far. They know what trails have the best views as well as what sights to see along the way. With all the logistics involved, it would be nearly impossible for someone to do the trips I did on their own.

We have been on 6 trips with Wilderness and each has been outstanding. We are convinced they have the best guides of any touring company. Their itineraries are well planned and varied -- home visits, surprise picnics, tuk tuk rides, small out of the way restaurants, game walks -- they do all they can to give you a comprehensive sense of the location you are visiting. Guides are knowledgeable -- but they also form relationships with the group -- you always know you are in good hands. As importantly, groups are small allowing for a more personalized experience. We often travel on our own but when it comes to group travel we would always choose Wilderness.

We've taken five trips with Wilderness Travel (WT). That in itself is a review and recommendation. WT is great! But there's always room for improvement.

Consider adding/planning more customized trips for those who want more flexibility than what is offered on fixed itineraries; eg. Raja Ampat offers nothing but snorkeling for 12 days. Must be other things to see and do.

Trip leaders can make or break a trip. Keys to successful leadership are a passion for the place and subject matter with an equal measure of love for sharing it with the people/group on the trip. Some have it; others aren't as good at connecting with the people. Keep looking for great leaders and winnow out the ones that don't have their hearts in it.

All the trips I've participated in have been memorable - the places visited, the guides, the hotels and other accomodations always comfortable, usually unusual, sometimes fancy, excellent food, superb picnics. The guides, for their knowledge, their interest in their guests and their sense of humor have made each trip special.

Wilderness Travel is a wonderful company for trips in nature. My favorite trip was snorkeling WITH humpback whales in Dominican Republic. It was a life changing experience! I’m planning to go on their Tonga trip to snorkel with the humpback whales there. I also loved their trip to the southern part of the South Island in New Zealand. It was a challenge but worth taking. I have also taken their Tahiti trip for a total solar eclipse about 10 years ago, and I liked it so much that I’m doing that same trip again. The guides are also terrific!

Outstanding guides and camp staff. Knowledgeable and helpful whenever needed. Nice to be the only ones in camps. Not all safaris are limited to one tour group.
