Hornvik
Hornvik, Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, Iceland 2025.
I have just returned from a photography tour with David. Quite simply the experience of a lifetime,
David was attentive with a great knowledge of both subject and environment.
Travel to and from the lodge was exciting and very much part of the experience, a very safe and capable boat and crew.
Once at the Hornvik lodge our host was excellent and produced food you’d expect from a professional kitchen, This is no five star health spa, rather a traditional Icelandic coastal lodge, in the most perfect location, with many arctic fox,
What can I say, if you love photography, nature and adventure ……GO !
Memories I will never forget.
Thank you David, and all concerned.
Grímsey 2024

When the group came together and we jumped on the ferry 'which wasn't my biggest experience' but at least I got to Grímsey ... As soon as we hit the land I felt like Im Still alive and i knew the next 6 days gonna be awesome. The next days I felt like Im in the photography Heaven Thanks to the flawless organization of the group leaders David and Kev and their unearthly friendship, and of course for the group itself...
See you someday somewhere...

Arctic fox photography expert
I consider David to be the “ go to “ person to photograph Arctic Foxes in Iceland. He has been going since 2017 and I’ve been with him twice. Apart from making the trip enormous fun, David gets you in the correct location for amazing shots… And the Iceland food is amazing in a wonderful rustic house in a wild and remote location.

What a lovely trip with such a lovely guide
I went to Iceland with David to photograph Arctic Foxes. The trip from start to finish went really smoothly and I enjoyed every leg of the journey. The photography opportunities were superb and David clearly had an amazing understanding of the foxes and wasn't shy to share his knowledge about photographing them.
It's not always about the photography experience that matters in trips like this. It's important that you can feel comfortable and relaxed around the main guide and company.
David and his wife Louise are such lovely, warm and caring human beings and were keen to ensure everyone had their needs met. David is so humble and relaxed which really helped put me at ease.
David is venturing into new territories and helping fellow photographers to do the same and that form me is just magical.
I had such a great time with him, i've put myself down for the Mongolia trip to photograph Pallas cats and snow leopards. If It was feasible for me to go to Greenland with him, I would at the drop of a hat!!
Thank you David

Grimsey Island
Grimsey Island, Iceland
July 2024
We have just returned from a six day photography experience on Grimsey Island with Wild Lens Nature Tours and what fun it was! Not just a great wildlife spectacle but also lots of laughter and good humour aided and abetted by the organisers, David and Kevin.
Turning to the wildlife there were the expected masses of puffins but also kittiwakes, fulmars, guillemots, razor bills, eiders, skuas, kittiwakes, redshanks, phalaropes, turnstones, ring plovers, snow buntings, oyster catchers and so much more. We were also fortunate to see the young of eiders, kittiwakes, phalaropes, snow bunting, redshanks and terns. One of our group also photographed a seal carrying in a large freshly caught fish.
The weather and light conditions were different each day which gave us lots of opportunities for static and flying bird photography with constructive feedback and suggestions from David and Kevin.
Accommodation was in the tiny cottage above the coffee shop overlooking the harbour. This enabled us to watch the massive catches of huge cod being landed every day which will have been one of the reasons for the “fish of the day” on the restaurant menu every evening! It was great to touch base and share information with the group at breakfast and lunch in our accommodation.
Overall, an excellent holiday which we shared with an amazing group of fellow photographers - well organised and very enjoyable. We have returned home with a wealth of photographs and many happy memories.

Iceland & Mongolia expeditions (2023, 2024)
I was fortunate enough to visit Iceland to photograph the Arctic Fox with Wild Lens Nature Tours, i had the best experience with them that I had to join them again to Mongolia to photograph the Snow Leopards and the Pallas Cats.
It’s not just about the incredible logistics that i had in both trips (which was amazingly more than I expected), it’s also about how nice David is .. without doubt David is one of the most humble person I have ever met in my life. He cares for everyone and every detail in the trip, he always smiles and makes sure that everyone in comfortable and happy.
David helped me a lot in both trips, he doubled checked everything with me before each trip just to make sure i have the right tools, clothes and camera gear for the trip.
I came back home with lots of incredible shots, lots of great memories and new friends.
I would definitely recommend everyone to join David and Wild Lens Nature Tours for any of their very well tailored trips for nature photographers.

Snow Leopards and Pallas Cats
Snow Leopards and Pallas Cats
Had an amazing time on this tour of Mongolia led by David and Wild Lens Nature Tours. The scenery, wildlife and company were all exceptional and without doubt has been one of the highlights of my photography journey. On such a remote tour it’s vital that the logistics and lodgings are up to scratch and everything worked perfectly. More importantly, the wildlife photographic opportunities exceeded my expectations and delivered some once in a lifetime experiences both in the Altai Mountains and the Gobi Desert. It was a tour I will never forget and would thoroughly recommend.
