Avoid these plus herdman london
Avoid these plus herdman london. Both have same looking websites showing items that when you receive them are nothing like the photo. Impossible to return without paying ridiculous costs fir postage and customs
Material cheap and nasty
Material cheap and nasty! Have tried to find out how to return goods for over 3 days but no response. Have only just discovered based in China. Misleading information states company started up in London in 2003! Agree with other reviewers that this is a scam company so do not use! Will probably have to give to charity as not paying excessive amount to return to China AND I did research first before I bought! Like I say very misleading!
If I could zero I would do not buy…
If I could zero I would do not buy anything from the company false advertising absolutely crap quality goods made abroad somewhere . They should be investigated for deceiving anyone who buys from them
Scam website - Avoid!!
The website looks very similar to Haven Birmingham with similar offers. AI website. All shipping is from China. Just Google "Is William Clothing London a scam". Avoid!!
Shoes paper thin!
Shoes paper thin!
I would chose -1 star if offered. I wish I had checked here before ordering. The shoes were cheap plastic, paper thin, too small and such poor quality I won’t pass them to a charity shop. Return is a joke, it costs £30 and no guarantee you will receive money. Exchange costs £9.95 and you can keep the first pair!!!
The site is a complete con. Claims to have Trusted
Dreadful cheap trainers
Dreadful cheap trainers that were not the correct size compared to my others of the same size.
Do not buy anything from this company
This company is wholly based in China and has no address in the UK, contrary to its misleading advertising. The quality of the goods is uniformly poor and returns are impossible. Dubious discounts on future purchases are offered if you complain but the product is so shoddy you wouldn't want to give it away. The returns label contained a virus which was not surprising.
I submitted a dispute through by bank and master charge. I've been given my money back and was told today that the dispute has been settled. My money is safe in my account. I recommed all 130 of you try the same . Good luck..
Update. I've now received two threatening emails from this company. I've not replied myself but have passed their messages to my bank who had originally offered to deal with this dispute. This is a nasty little company and I wish I knew how to prevent them advertising in the UK
Update 28th June 2026 I have now received three lengthy threatning e mails from this company. The emails are wordy and it is difficult to know what they want apart from money. Im told they continue to advertise in the UK and their reviews are uniformly bad.
Do not buy from this company!
Wish I had looked at this before I bought my trainers. Incredibly cheap and not true to size. Hence not fit for purpose. Continually bouncing emails back and forth. Offered that I could buy something else to the same value instead of returning item to China. However not tempted as don’t trust their quality. Do not buy from this company, it’s not a pleasant experience.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Nil stars!! Do not waste money purchasing from this company. The items sent out are not what are in the photographs and when you try to return you have to send to China and pay the postage and import fees which costs as much as what you have bought! I am handing mine to Trading Standards as the items are not fit for purpose! DO NOT NUY FROM THEM!!
Financial redress made easy
So many reviewers complain about being charged costs of shipping unsatisfactory goods back to China. You don't need to do this if you bought the goods using a credit card. Under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, although you think you've bought the goods from a Chinese company (perhaps masquerading as a London company), in law you've bought the goods from your credit card company, and your credit card company bought the goods from the Chinese company.
So, if the goods are poor quality or you just change your mind about them, your legal right is to claim against your credit card company. They, not the Chinese seller, have to refund you, and they will do so. They then take it up with the Chinese seller, and whether they get any money back or not is between your credit card company and the Chinese seller.
You get your money back, and you're out of the picture. So don't fall for any nonsense about shipping the goods back to a Chinese seller.
Act promptly. Your credit card company will want evidence you tried to get a refund, but you don't have to go on and on with them. A few emails : that's enough. Then call the credit card company, explain what's happened (and produce the emails) and say you want the refund you're entitled to from them, the credit card company.
I did this recently with MasterCard (and a different Chinese company) and I got all my money back. So can you.
Use the law. Don't get messed about.
Wife ordered a pair of shoes size 5.5
Wife ordered a pair of shoes size 5.5. When they finally arrived did not fit. Quality was poor certainly not worth the money. No invoice or return slip in package. Email them for slip you have to photograph shoe size package slip. WHY can they not send return form. Return policy is a joke. Shall stay well clear in the future. Once bitten twice shy.
Cheap imported, poor quality goods!!
Please persevere or ask yoyr bank to get your money back. It was surprisingly easy with PayPal. Dont give up...takes an hour at most ...tell them you will do it if they dont give you your money back. They just hope you'll give up, and this is how they make their money!!
I too thought I was ordering a quality garment from a UK business. What arrived many days later was a dreadful, cheap import from China (via a UK distribution address). They promise a 30 day money back guarantee. What is buried in the smallprint is that you have to send it back to China at your own expense which costs as much, if not more, than the original item.
They offered a paltry amount of refund and I could keep the item, or an exchange for an additional £9.95 postage
Also...I had to send several photographs of the item...they do NOT make it easy and you have to persevere!
After several emails, their best offer was 35% of my money back and I could keep the unwanted item . Not acceptable!
In the end, I contacted PayPal (or bank if
youve paid direct). PayPal were
brilliant...an immediate full refund! Thankyou them....shame on this company
Do NOT buy ....its a scam to get top money for cheap imports ! Angry and frustrated but was determined they wouldn't get away with my money!
I'd give no stars, if I could! DON'T BUY FROM THEM
I'd give no stars, if I could! Williams LONDON is based in CHINA. My fault - I should have checked it out properly and read their returns policy. They are extremely helpful and polite charlatans who sell shoddy goods and want you to send them more money so that they can send you something else shoddy to make up for your disappointment. Don't touch with a barge pole!!
Do not buy anything from this cheap rubbish company
Absolutely terrible. Like others I thought they looked good in thr pictures. When they arrived very shoddy, made out of cheap plastic. I contacked them thr next day to return them. They kept assuring me that they were trying to resolve the matter and thanks for my patience. I kept replying asking for a return label and tuen today I have been told that it has past the 30 day return window!!! What how does that happen!!! Oh yes drag your feet until the 30 days have gone by. I reached out to them pretty much everyday since the crappy things arrived. As stated by another the impression is they are in the UK but they are not DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
Very poor quality trainers arrived…
Very poor quality trainers arrived today which don't look anything like the photo online or match the description given of them online. They arrived some weeks after order was placed. Have just looked at returns policy and it will cost as much to return them as I paid for them! Complete rip off!!
Scam of a company . Just like the other numerous reviews
Just like the other numerous reviews - these goods are missold and things a China scam.
I am going to report to trading standards
Just like previous reviews I too bought…
Just like previous reviews I too bought these cheap and nasty trainers.
I also thought they were a British company but are actually a Chinese con
I’m about to ask for a refund, let’s see what happens.
Very poor quality, expensive to return for refund
The item was too small and of exceptionally poor Chinese quality. I discovered that to obtain a full refund I would have had to spend more than I paid originally to cover transport and customs to a depot in China, the location of which was not disclosed on the website, even in the small print.
Whilst very polite the customer services team were very unhelpful, especially with regard to giving the location of their shop as shown on their website. I am led to think that it does not exist.
Be very wary of ordering from this company and make sure to read the returns policy very very carefully.
keep away from this company
As with other reviews. The goods are cheap quality items. Cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Received a series of emails asking for photographs. Then an offer of a smaller sized item, then told I would have to return it to China. This is a complete scam, passing off as a UK company. Should have checked trust pilot before ordering.
Terrible company
Terrible company. Their adverts clearly take advantage of vulnerable pensioners who spend their hard-earned money. My 87 year old grandmother was misled by their adverts and bought a set of clothes for £50. The quality was not what she expected at all. Upon trying to get her money back, as promised on the website within 30 days, the website suddenly says in the small print that it will cost between £17-30 in postage costs to RETURN PLUS the potential (likely) cost of customs (Despite it being free to recieve the product!!!) That places the money she would likely recieved back if they "Accept" her return, in the realm of £50 anyway, making any return meaningless and simply paying back the money she will lose from returning it. Ridiculous. Terrible to clearly target the old and vulnerable, who are not as well versed in spotting the signs of scammers! The website is clearly designed to trick even most above 40.
