Practical, human and genuinely impactful support
I recently had the opportunity to host a Lunch & Learn wellbeing session for Police officers and staff, delivered by Dr Rebecca Williams, and it was excellent.
The session focused on managing stress in a demanding environment and struck exactly the right balance. It wasn’t theory-heavy or corporate. Instead, it was honest, human and evidence-based, with practical tools that people could immediately relate to and use in real life.
Around 30 officers and staff attended, and the feedback afterwards was extremely positive. It was one of those sessions that really landed — people felt understood rather than “talked at”.
What stood out most was Rebecca’s genuine care for the people she supports. In policing (and other public services), wellbeing budgets are often extremely limited, so sessions like this only happen because of professionals who are willing to give their time and expertise because they truly believe in making a difference.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Williams Stress Management to any organisation looking for credible, compassionate and practical wellbeing support, particularly in high-pressure roles.

My sessions with Rebecca have been life changing. I desperately needed support with managing anxiety and low self-esteem and Rebecca's support has been incredible.

Working with Rebecca has been a life-changing experience for me. I have struggled with anxiety, depression and PTSD for nearly all my life, and have 'tried everything' to help me understand who I am, how to work through problems, and even, that I am a person worthy of love and compassion.
Rebecca came into my life through a seminar organised at my workplace. As soon as you hear her talk, you know she really knows her stuff. She understands how people tick and got a group of disparate people to start opening up and sharing experiences. Using her background as a GP, she was able to give physiological reasons behind many psychological issues and gave us many tips to help with self-regulation and understanding.
I also had three 1:1 sessions with her, which were the most beneficial treatment I have ever had. By use of skilful questioning and listening, she helped me verbalise issues and come to my own conclusions about how they had or were still affecting my life.
I now like myself - this is HUGE. My life is changing in so many ways for the positive; my outlook on life is so much more assured; situations that would normally send me spiralling into a pit of anxiety and stress are now manageable. This is thanks to Rebecca helping me open my eyes - note, helping me open, not opening; I feel this distinction is important, as she has given me tools to understand and strengthen myself, rather than dictating to me.

I recently organised a Stress Management Workshop with Rebecca tailored for our under and post graduate students who are about to start their exams. It proved to be a highly valuable and insightful experience. Dr Rebecca Williams gave a webinar talk to our Team about Stress Awareness. With a very easy manner she outlined what stress is, how our bodies can respond & react to it and the symptoms we should be looking out for. She outlined the steps we should take to assess ourselves and tools to help us deal with it.
All in all Dr Williams gave an excellent overview of what is a complex condition. There was something there for everyone to take away to help them in a way that most benefits them. I have found the sessions with Rebecca incredibly useful and they have made a serious impact on how I deal with stress. I have never had any sessions like this previously and this was a new experience for me, but Rebecca helped guide me through the process, allowing me to talk and prompting and directing discussions in a useful way.
Rebecca is very good at providing tools and advice on how to cope in specific or general situations, but doesn’t overload you with too much jargon and exercises.
In the end, I had 8 sessions with Rebecca, but will definitely arrange more down the line, as and when needed. I would also highly recommend her for 1-1 sessions or group sessions.

Rebecca has a great cadence and calming presence - we attended a stress workshop with her and I must say I genuinely think it was one of the best things I have done for my mental health this year.
I took lots of notes and have started incorporating her techniques, such as diaphragmatic breathing, to use when I need a moment of peace. The way Rebecca delivered information and held the workshop was well done, and I noticed a lot of the attendees left the workshop feeling better for attending.
Rebecca cares about her work and this can be felt when working with her - she is able to explore difficult topics, like addiction, with empathy and understanding. Stress can come in many different forms, and although at the beginning I kept telling myself there’s no way I’m stressed - by the end I was able to pin point areas of stress and acknowledge there was some work to be done to enable myself to be free of certain stressors.
I’ve recommended Rebecca to my friends and would happily recommend her here too. She offers a guiding hand through life’s complex journey, and can be a pillar of support when dealing with stress. She also has a book which I’d recommend carrying around with you and adding to even after the sessions with her - it’s a handy way to be empowered to continue working on yourself too.

I attended a staff Wellbeing Session which was conducted by Dr Rebecca Williams in May this year. I’ve been to a number of sessions with the NHS and I have to say this was completely different. It was Person Centred and it was as if Rebecca was reading my mind and understanding all the stresses I have to deal with on a daily basis. Her understanding of mind and body during our times of stress. Rebecca showed me a new way of thinking and how I respond and react to events at work that make me feel stressed. Great session, I would certainly go again.
